The one with the naughty elf
Requested by: Queen_of_the_Night1

"It was just there! It was like a little elf...thing."

"An 'Elf thing'? Are you feeling okay? Did I smack your head too hard the other day?"

• • •

T'was the night before christmas, when all through the bunker. Not a creature was stirring, not even a monster. The stockings are hung at the end of each bed with care, in hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there.

"Damn it, Dean!"

The said Winchester looks at his wife, a cookie half stuffed into his mouth.

"What?"

Juliet rolls her eyes as she can, just about, hear her husband's words through the mouthful of the christmas cookie he is eating. "They've literally just come out the oven." She puts her hand on her hips as she eyes him. "And are meant for tomorrow."

Dean gives her a sheepish smile as he swallows the cookie.

"They're delicious, babe."

Juliet huffs, "Yeah, you said that about the first three you ate," She sighs as she remembers all the rest of the kids presents she has to wrap before the night is done, "Right, I'm gonna go and finish the kids wrapping, you wanna help?"

Juliet looks to Dean, but pauses as she see's the mild look of terror on his face.

"Dean, honey? You okay?"

He looks to her before pointing to his plate, his eyes wide. "Did you not see that?" He looks to his wife, the woman furrowing her eyebrows in confusion. "See what?" The huntress watches on as Dean lifts his plate up, he looks as if he's looking for something. Her brown eyes meet his green ones, she looks at him with blank eyes as he goes back to pointing at his plate, after setting it down. "It was just there! It was like a little elf...thing."

Juliet pulls a face as she nods her head, slowly. "An 'Elf thing'? Are you feelin' okay? Did I smack your head too hard the other day?"

Dean shakes his head as Sam and Harlow enter. The fifteen year old looks to her parents, a smile on her face. She's just come back from doing a grocery run with Sam. The smile slowly falls as she notices her father's confused expression, she turns to her mom.

"What's up with dad?"

Juliet looks to her daughter and shrugs her shoulders. The huntress jumps when Dean's loud voice leaves her ears ringing. "There! It's there!"

Her, Sam and Harlow look to where Dean is pointing but can't see anything.

Harlow side eyes her mom, "Has dad finally gone loopy? Is it time to put him in a home? I mean, I always knew this day was comin', but I didn't think it'll happen this soon."

Juliet gives Harlow a look only a mother could give.

"We are not putting your father in a home. He wouldn't last a day in there."

Harlow pulls a face as she nods her head, silently agreeing with her mother.

Juliet looks to Sam as he approaches, "What's going on with him?" Juliet shrugs her shoulders in reply, "I dunno. He was eating a cookie and I looked away for a second and next thing I know he's exclaiming that he saw an elf thing."

Sam raises an eyebrow at his sister-in-law.

"An elf thing?"

Juliet nods her head, "His words, not mine." She then looks back to Dean, a thought striking her in the head. "Maybe it's like the fairy thing, all over again."

Harlow shoots her mom and uncle a look of confusion, "Fairy thing?" Her green eyes then widen, "Oh, you mean the thing that only dad could see." She then laughs as a memory hits her, "Dad's face when he came running into the bathroom, shouting about floating nipples."

Dean sends his daughter a glare, "It wasn't funny!" He groans as his eldest child continues to laugh, "Yes it was. It was fucking brilliant."

Juliet hits Harlow on the arm, her eyes narrowed as she wags a polished fingernail in front her daughter's face, "Hey! You may be fifteen, but that doesn't give you an excuse to swear." Harlow groans as she rolls her eyes, "Sorry, mom."

Sam clears his throat, "Back to the fairy thing," He looks at Juliet, "You really think he's seeing an elf?" He sighs as Juliet shrugs her shoulders. "I mean, if fairies are real then why can't elves be?" She huffs as Sam rolls his eyes, "Jules, in all the time we've hunted, don't you think elves would have cropped up?"

Juliet pulls a face, "Sammy, we've hunted the anti-santa, dragons, a shritga, vampires and, the legend himself, hook man. So why not an elf?"

Sam goes to open his mouth but she smirks when he instantly closes it, unable to come up with something to retort back.

Harlow glances between her mom and uncle Sam, "Hey, guys? Dad's freaking out again."

Juliet turns to Dean and is quick to take the knife from his right hand, well more like wrestle it out of his grip. She eyes him as he stands on the chair, he had the knife pointed to the 'elf' only Dean can see. She looks back to Sam and Harlow, "Okay, we need Castiel."

• • •

"Our angel who art in heaven. Get your ass down here and help."

Juliet turns to Sam, who gives her a deadpan look. The huntress, in return, pulls a face. "What? That's what usually does the trick, right?"

Sam sighs as he looks around the bunker, "I don't see him, do you?"

Juliet smirks as she crosses her arms, looking behind Sam's shoulder with a smirk on her face.

"Yup."

Sam furrows his eyebrows as he hears her pop the 'p' in her reply.

"Hello, Sam."

The said Winchester jumps, Castiel's voice having spooked him. Juliet shakes her head as she laughs before turning to the angel. Castiel's blue hues are already looking at her. His head titled.

"Something's wrong?"

"Yeah, we kinda need your help."

Just as the words leave Juliet's lips, a girly scream sounds from somewhere in the bunker.

The two hunters and angel share a look before following the sound of the noise, leading them into the bunker's kitchen.

Juliet and Sam look around with their guns drawn and ready to shoot. The former one out of the two, sighs as she sees a smashed glass on the floor and a spillage of milk. Her brown eyes look back up to Dean, who's gone back to pointing at the Santa shaped plate.

"He's on the plate again."

Juliet looks to Castiel, "He keeps complaining about this small elf...thing, but it's like only he can see it. I was wondering, with you being an angel and all, can you see it as well?"

Castiel looks to where Dean is looking and tilts his head with a narrow of his eyes, he replies. "If you're referring to the green thing with pointed ears, dancing on the plate. Then yes."

Dean laughs as he points to each of his family member, "See, I told you I wasn't crazy." Juliet shakes her head as she kisses her teeth, "How do we kill it?"

Castiel looks to the huntress with a mild offended look on his face, "Why would you want to kill one of Santa's elves?"

Juliet looks to her friend with wide eyes, "Wait, Santa is real? Elves are real?" She then looks to Sam and hits him on the arm, "See?! That's why you should listen to me. I knew I was right."

Cas nods his head, "He must of came through from a portal of some sort."

An idea then hits Juliet, "Cas, is there anyway you could make it so we can see what Dean is seeing?"

The angel nods his head, "Of course."

The said angel touches each person's head, apart from Dean's with the tips of his fingers. Juliey hisses as she feels a sharp, stinging sensation in her head. It only lasts for a few seconds. The huntress opens her eyes and her brown orbs immediately lands on a small, green, elf with pointed ears, she looks to Sam and Harlow, noting that both of them have the same facial expression as her, shock.

Juliet looks to Dean, "Honey, you're not crazy." She watches as her husband rolls his eyes, "I told ya."

Sam tilts his head, his dark green eyes narrowed in suspicion. He points to the elf, they can now all see, while looking to Juliet. "Why is he twerking?"

Harlow giggles at her Dad's deadpan expression as he points to the elf with a glare, "Listen here you green bastard, stop dancing!"

Juliet shakes her head before looking to Cas, "Is there any way we can get rid of it? Y'know, before the kids wake up?"

"I don't know."

Juliet sighs as she motions to Sam with her hands, "Oh, that's just great."

Harlow looks to her mother and Uncle's, "Maybe there's something about them here in the bunker?" Her green eyes land on the elf's, once more, "I mean, I'm sure we're not the only hunters who've come across something like this before." She raises her eyebrows as the elf starts to do the floss while her Dad growls in anger before looking to her mother.

"Juliet, I swear if this elf continues to dance stupidly, I'll kill it, and I don't care if St. Nick will be down a helper."

Harlow chuckle's, "He's probably attracted to you, Dad."

Juliet shakes her head at the two, "Harlow's idea isn't a bad one," The teenager cuts her mother off with a scoff. "Duh, I never come up with bad ideas." The brunette rolls her eyes at her daughter before continuing, "It can't hurt to give it a shot."

Harlow smirks, "See, I have good ideas, mom. I would make a great researcher for hunts." The smirk is wiped from her face as her mother points a finger at her, a serious look on her face. "No." The teen groans, annoyed at being shot down, again.

• • •

Juliet stiffles a yawn as her eyes start to droop. They've been at it for hours, researching every book they can get their hands on, but what have they found? Nothing. Zip, nada, zilch. She's just about to let the tiredness take her away to dreamland, but she jumps and her eyes go wide as her daughter is quick to stand up, the chair making a scarping noise, loudly. Juliet looks to her as Harlow gasps, a smile on her face.

"I've found it! I found it."

Juliet gets up from her chair, instantly and peers over Harlow's shoulder. She kisses her daughter's head as Harlow passes the book to her, the huntress' eyes scane the page, smiling as she see's the spell they need to cast in order to send the elf back.

"You're amazing, Harls."

The said teen smiles as he looks to her Mom with hopeful eyes.

"Does this mean-"

Juliet shakes her head, cutting off her daughter's question off, already knowing what it was going to be.

"Nope."

Harlow groans and rolls her eyes at being turned down, again.

Castiel tilts his head at the brunette, "What does it say?"

Juliet flicks her eyes to the page and reads aloud, what it says.

"We need to do a spell, ground up tinsel dust, a perfect snowflake and some pine."

Juliet looks up to Castiel, her eyebrows raised. "Can you get all of that?"

The angel nods his head and in a blink of an eye, he's gone.

Juliet turns to Dean and Sam, "In the meantime, we can set everything up."

Her husband and brother-in-law nod their heads as all three hunters set about to do just that.

• • •

An hour later, everything is all set up and each ingredient for the spell is already thrown into the bowl. Juliet adds some more pine before nodding her head, silently telling Sam to keep grounding it up, which he does. She moves her eyes to Dean, who is keeping a watchful eye on the naughty elf. She looks back down to the spell book, "Okay, we're ready."

She passes the spell book to the taller Winchester brother reads the page.

"Bismillah, elrahman, ilrahim. Bismillah, elrahman, ilrahim. Bismillah, elrahamn, ilrahim."

Juliet looks up at Sam, after he repeats the spell three times just like it says in the book. The three hunters look to each other when nothing happens. The brunette goes to try again, when a bright white light suddenly eclipses the bunker, causing all people in the building to cover their eyes. The light eventually dies down, Juliet moves her heand and blinks her eyes as she see's a silhouette, a large, plumb silhouette.

"Ho. Ho. Ho."

Juliet's brown eyes widen as a large man with red cheeks and a beard white as snow stands before them, a jolly smile on his face as his round belly moves up and down as he lets out a hearty chuckle.

"Santa?"

St. Nick looks to Harlow, the teen staring back with wide eyes.

"Why, hello! I presume roger is the reason you summoned me here?"

Juliet looks to where Santa is pointing, which is at the elf. Her and Dean share a look as she mouths the elf's name, Dean in reply, shrugs his shoulders. The oldest Winchester brother looks to the merry man, his eyebrows furrowed. "We were just meant to send him back, not summon you."

Sam sends the man a sheepish smile, "Sorry, sir."

The bearded man waves his hand, like it's not a big deal.

"Not to worry. I'll just take roger and be on my merry way." St. Nicholas looks to the green elf and with a wave of his hand, the elf is by his side. Santa sends each person a warm-hearted smile before steping through, what looks like a rift. With one last laugh, he utters his famous words.

"Happy Christmas to all, and to all a goodnight!"

Just as the rift closes, the clock strikes twelve. Juliet looks to her family, a smile on her face as she gravitates towards Dean, who pulls her close. Harlow joins her parents with a smile on her face as both her mother and father drop a kiss on her head.

Juliet looks into her husband's green eyes and gives him a kiss.

"Merry Christmas, Dean."

The said hunter smiles a places a kiss on her nose.

"Merry Christmas, Juliet."
