5.Say...I love you!

After that night, Avyakta again made herself quiet and reticent. She didn't get those panic attacks again, though, but still her mind kept her busied in her thoughts. It was embarrassing for her to speak or ask something about that night. She knew, that her words that night, would have hurt Siddhant. She wanted to apologize to each and every member of the family but...how could she gain that courage?
No one spoke anything about that night and Avyakta soon wanted to clear this matter out because she was caged inside the emotions of guilt and embarrassment.
She remembered how that Card that night, affected her to that extent but somewhere, she was satisfied and believed what Siddhant might have felt for her,in the past. She knew that man, who is considered as her husband, was doing much to gain her trust and his Avyakta back but again, something inside her was stopping her to take a step. She couldn't and why should she? For the poor girl, it was difficult to face her saddest reality. She was an amnesiac. Unimaginable, was something she thought!
She would herself, try, if she remembers even a thing or so. She knew that family who give her the much needed love and support to her, was suffering much just because of her and they hide that pain and suffering, somewhere beneath. She never want this. Never want anyone to suffer just because of her.
In the process, of thinking she would cry out or sometimes shout without anyone's acknowledge, in her room, though, she was never left alone and was cared as someone precious to them.

Whereas, Siddhant, what to say about him? The charm and glow was lost somewhere from his face. The most Chirpy and happiest kid of their house was lost somehere. It's been 2 months, to that incident and he himself remained quiet and busy in his works. He was skipping his meals, too. But there was someone, who never leave a chance to bring a smile to his gloomy yet handsome face, it was Sanyukta. The little girl had the Audacity to make him simper, too.
He would sometimes curse himself for bringing out this condition to her. While, the house remained in complete, silence, the two souls, living next to each other would cry. Unaware,of the states of each other.

The family knew how the two souls, who once, never left each others hand were, slowly, away from each other. Savita and Vijay, tried many ways to bring them, together. They worried that, in this darkest time, their kids should not drown themselves in grief and distress but they only had a ray of hope. That almighty will take out some path or the other for them, they believed.

One night after their dinner, everyone departed into their rooms.
As usual,Siddhant was asleep that night. He turned here and there. He tried watching his phone, too, but no use.
He thought of doing his office work,so took his laptop and kept on his lap. While searching for a required file, his eye went towards a folder named Marriage. He knew what was inside but still to calm himself he clicked, opened it and some videos and images flashed infront him.
He played a video and that instantly brought a smile on his face. How happy they both were on their marriage day. A chuckle escaped his mouth when at the time of Avyakta's farewell to her family, he cried in car, at the scene,as if he was the bride.
He looked at each and every image and video, adorably and emotionally, because he knew that feelings attached in them, were somewhat closer to impossible. Unaware of the stream of tears that made their way down his eyes, he felt happy. If he can't get his Avyakta back better to have these memories only.
After adoring them, he closed it and kept the laptop aside.
He, then, thought of getting a glass of water. Getting up, he left towards the kitchen. Still, lost in thoughts, he heard some noises. At that moment, the light went off and he didn't have the phone, too.

The noises became more clear. He thought maybe, it can be someone from his family. In the complete darkness, he heard breaking of a glass. He voiced out each of his family members'name but no reply from the other side.
As soon as he reached the kitchen, he heard another glass breaking down. He doubted if it was a thief.

Siddhant ran to the kitchen at instant as he heard some whispering sounds and caught the person from behind. Keeping one hand on that person's face, he pushed against the wall.

That person tried to wiggle in his arms. But the moment the electricity came, he was shocked to see the person infront.
"Avu?"
Shock evident on their faces. He immediately withdraw his hand from her mouth. They stood too, close.

"Avu?" She asked.

"I..I ..m..mean Avyakta?
You here at this time?"

The night breeze touched her face as it flew past by her. The moon was again lost somewhere behind the clouds. The smell of hot coffee reached her nostrils energizing her each vein.

Siddhant led the cup of coffee towards her and she took it gently.
He stood beside her while looking at what lay infront of him. The glowing darkness of the city. Both stood beside each other amidst all that silence, in their balcony.

"I'm..sorry.. Avyakta..
I really didn't know it's you. I have hurt you..sorry!"
He poked his tongue out and what felt like thousand years he spoke.
"By the way,Your hand is okay?"
Her hand which was caged in plaster was free now, since it has been taken out a few days back. She was quite happy that she could do her work easily.

She nodded while sipping her coffee.
She stood in silence for sometime beforing uttering something. She was hesitating to speak a word to him.

"Actually.."
She started.
"I think it's good, you...came..there..
I was searching for coffee...and electricity went away..."
She stuttered a little.

"But..You know what..
stop that.. stop that first.."
He came closer, adjusted her head bandage, that was only left as a part to recover completely and gently spoke.
She looked at him in confusion.
"Stop being considerate about everyone before you."
He looked in her eyes.
"From past one month, I'm noticing you. It's okay to do your work yourself but when you are in this state, why are you refusing to take help from us?"

"Okay! I agree..it will take time for you to adjust but..
No one feel bad..no one..when you ask for our help.. instead it'll make us more happy.. never refuse when Priya or maa changes your bandage..
Don't think you are a burden for us.
And you were and will never be.
You could wake me."
He paused and looked at her.
"Mm...not me but you could wake anyone in the house."
His words quite surprised her, though everything he said was in a polite manner but was he noticing her since past few days? She lowered her head and drank a sip of the coffee. It really had the taste that made her feel good.
He continued drinking his coffee.

"And..I hope..I have not hurt you.. much.."
He gulped.

There was silence. Siddhant doubted if she got hurt from his words.
"Av-"

" I want to say something..
Like from past.. two months..I just couldn't gather the..the courage but..
I..I am sorry for the..mess..I created that day...really! I feel...what blunder I did..."
She felt as if a heavy burden from her head took off.

He was engulfed in deep sadness, for the girl stood before him.

"I realized..how I ...just because of me...you are disturbed... all the members are disturbed...
Don't mind with the..words I spoke to you that night.."
Her voice was cracking but with a strong face she stood beside him. Siddhant knew that she was lost in guilt but it's not her fault.
The next questions, panged his heart.

"Why did you kept me here? Why don't you just leave me? Why because of me you are suffering..this much?"
Lump formed in her throat and at his words, she looked at him partially shocked.

"Avyakta because I lo..."
He stopped midway and his eyes met with her. Gaining some courage, he spoke something. She knew what he tried to say and how those words were instantly gulped back.
"Avy-Avyakta... I understand how you must be feeling. But never ever..feel yourself as abnormal.. for us, especially for me,you are not..and NEVER will be
I know what happened that night was...out of blue but you are not at fault Avyakta!
And why should I leave you..hun?
That was so silly.. You are over thinking

J-Just don't think much..about that day..leave it.."
He tried to let calmness envade the situation.
Avyakta heaved a sigh and both stood quite for sometime. A moment later, their gaze, together fell on a pair of Partridges, caressing and adorning each other with their love.
(Pic ahead)
Whereas, Siddhant was side staring at her. Her face looked adorably at them. Her eyes shone, admiring the scene befor her. "Beautiful" The words came out of her mouth.
"You'll get to see them too..here.."
She turned a little to acknowledge the source of this voice and saw Siddhant standing behind her maintaining the required distance.
She stared at them. How beautiful they looked together!
Light breeze touched her face and she, turned her face to looked ahead at the pitch darkness of the city. She was back to her gloomy mode.
Siddhant perceived the gradual change of her emotions. She was drowning herself in self hatred.

"What happened?" Siddhant asked her.

After that, they both stood there in silence.
" I dunno why but this darkness..infront is invigorating and inviting..
Everything feels so good..when I see it.."
She spoke with her eyes filled with the deep emotions of fear and grief.

"Why?"
He was surprised that she was actually talking and sharing her feelings with him.

"My inner self makes me feel that..
That morning and that sunlight do not make me happy anymore. I'm just happy when this darkness engulfs me..."
But her words sad some other story

Siddhant was listening to her intensely.
"And..The more I..live within that secluded place, Inside my room, the more it makes me let in inside and I enjoy it...
Don't know from how long, this feeling developed inside me.."
She trailed.

He frowned. He knew that the girl standing beside him was hurt and depressed deep down.

"May I say something?"

"Hmm.."
She had her face infront the darkness of the city which was just lightened by the street lights.

"That happiness you talk about is your sadness and loneliness."
He pursed his lips.
"You're unhappy,depressed, and feel bounded...
And..the reason for your panic attacks..was this only.Hun?"

Avyakta played with her fingers and looked down. She was silent, meanwhile and with her silence he got his answers.

"Why so?"
He asked.

"I want answers."
She sighed.

"Answers of some questions that haunt me...
And I feel that I'm not worthy of anything... for anyone..."
Siddhant stood beside her. He knew what she was talking about. The reasons of her condition.

Siddhant knew what he has to do now. He waited and gained courage. He couldn't see her this way. It was difficult for him.

"Avyakta, the reason for you to run out that night is your self rejection and overthinking..
I can understand how you feel..It's tough for you to get back to what..you lost but..

Won't you mind if you just come inside me in your room?"
She looked confused.
"No..no..don't think wrong.. I'll be there for few minutes..that's it.. I'll do Something that will..surely get a smile on your face.."
She thought for a moment. Should she agree to let him inside? After conflicting with her thoughts for what felt like thousand years,
She agreed and they walked towards her room. He came after sometime with a mirror in his hand.

"Your family will get disturb with the noises we're making."

"Our family.

I'll tell them..there are two ghosts residing in this house who are suffering from insomnia."
A small smile occurred on her face.

He sat opposite her in the chair and showed her a mirror. She sat on the bed.
"Here..
Look into this mirror and say 'I Love you'."

"Why?"
She looked at him uncomfortably and in a strange way.

"Until and unless you can't love yourself, nothing around you will make you happy.
So, try this.
Don't hesitate...Believe Me!"

Avyakta hesitated.
"No..no..no..this..I can't"
She tried to move back.

"Take out your hesitation, Avyakta.
You can."

She looked at herself in the mirror.
The eyes which had deepest of her pain, reflected in the mirror. She was completely drowned in her eyes.
A few moments later, her eyes well up. The sadness she felt, came down im the form of tears.
Her lips completely pursed.
"I can't sid..siddhant.."

He pulled down the mirror, sadly.
Wiping her tears, she looked at him who was looking at her already.
"I want to try once again."

Happily, he showed the mirror again and the words came out her mouth, instantly.
"Repeat 3 times more."

He praised her to speak more. A smile drew on her face while speaking. She felt relaxed by now. Her heartbeats were erretic and face muscles stretched on its own accord.

"So?"
He asked while getting up.

She was surprised at that moment. Was she really loving herself? Will she accept that she was an amnesiac?
She was silent and only stared at her reflection in the mirror. After sometimes, she looked at him, with a small smile lingering on his face.

"T-Thank you Siddhant..
I feel relaxed and happy.."
The words came out of her mouth.

He looked at her face for few minutes, smiled and walked away, but soon he was stopped by her voice.

"Why this?"
She questioned wiping her face.

"This was to..
Make you feel that you aren't abnormal. To make you feel that you are worthy. You are strong enough to face the world that you are In,now...

Avyakta.. Believe in yourself..
Try accepting as you are.. You are a free soul not bounded..Hmm?"
He faced her while playing with the mirror.
"You may practice this yourself in your mirror. Remember, until and unless you can't love yourself, you will remain frustrated with yourself and to everyone around.

Things will surely change..Avyakta and..they will be more beautiful..
That darkness and sunshine.. will sure give you peace in your happiest times too..
Believe Me.."
He whispered, audible much to Avyakta.

"Are you a psychiatrist?"
She was embarrassed that she wasn't even aware what he does.

"Nope!
Your wellwisher."
He smiled.

"Okay,then good night.
Thanks for giving your time."
Smiling he walked towards the door.

"I'm sorry."
Avyakta's voice drew his attention.
"I'm sorry..Siddhant.. for slapping you that...day..
I wanted to say this from past many days but.."
She paused as he didn't turned around.

He was surprised at her confession but to win her heart again he has to walk by her side on a road whose journey is long not very but it is.

"No sorry.. No Thank you.. Remember! We are Friends."
He smiled at her and walk back to his room leaving the girl completely in her thoughts.

"Friends?"

Avyakta raised her eyebrows and smiled. She felt that she was the most happiest person on earth. This was something.. unbelievable. An unknown feeling of satisfaction and happiness dwell inside her. She lay down on her bed and thought could have a sound sleep tonight.
Whereas Siddhant whose face never leaving that red hue and smile, felt happy that she tried to talk with him. He actually wanted that. He wanted her to talk with him.To take out everything that was maddening her. He knew that she might have surely felt a bit surprised at them being friends but it was the first step to bring back their lost relationship. He ,too, can have a deep slumber.

While both layed down in the rooms next to each other, their eyes would never left the patridges, who were busy in cherishing and loving each other, till they slept.

After Few Weeks:

Avyakta's door was banged by someone continuosly. She opened her door and found Ruchi standing there. Avyakta's bond with Ruchi grew much. She started to believe her and had trust. For a women like Ruchi, it was easy to bring back that relationship, she shared with her in the form of friendship, since she had the ability to captivate anyone and become friendly, with only the way of her talks. And this became the reason of her and Abhay's love marriage.

"Didi..Good Morning..
Come inside."

"Good Morning dear..
You were bathing?
I'm sorry I disturbed you.."

"No..no..its okay!
I'm done."

Ruchi sat on the near by chair.
"You sit na.
Why don't you call me when you go for bathing? Incase you need any help I here no?
Remember na, that treat me and Priya as your friends?"

"Offo..I'm fine didi..
Few weeks back, only I got rid of my plaster. I just had bandage over here, in my head. I don't have any problem now."
Avyakta was now free from the cage of the plaster.
She sat across her.

"Okay..okay..
I want to give you a good news."
Ruchi told her while playing with an envelope.

"What's that?"

"Read it yourself."
She gave her the envelope. As she was reading each and every line written on the paper she took out from it, the curve of her smile grew larger and larger.
Avyakta looked at her with eyes brimming with happiness.

"When did you.."
She trailed of her sentence.

"You wanted to go back on your work. Right?
So, that's a small present from our side ..for you..
And We know you are fit and fine now..."
She spoke.

"I didn't mean that..day..I didn't want to create any sort of.. problem
For you all..I just-"
Her smile instantly dropped.
She was guilty for the act she did at that night. She never wanted to create chaos for the family who was taking care for her. Giving her everything she wanted.

"Ptch. I said na this is a small present from our side for you.
We understand how you feel sitting here in this room whole day. It's tough.

So, Dr. Avyakta get ready to work.
Your people. Your hospital is calling you."
But Avyakta remained with an expression of uncertainty. Several questions popped her mind. Was she ready to face the people, outside?
What if they judge her? She was never like that. She never cared how people judge her. But circumstances, made her this way.

She was playing with the paper in her hands and Ruchi loked at her with, excitement.

"Avyakta.."
Ruchi stood up and held her shoulders.
"Look here...
Don't get afraid.. We all took this decision after confirming about your health,Only.
Things will be more difficult..if you didn't..let yourself out. We are saying na?
Have confidence on yourself.."
Avyakta was listening, intensely. She smiled and agreed with what she said.

"Thank you so much, didi."
They both hugged each other.

"Now, come for breakfast. Everyone is waiting.
Will you be able to walk?"
She asked concerning her.

"Uff! I am not a baby.
I'm fine."
She chuckled.

While someone, who stood outside and eavesdropping their talks grew equally happy as her. Siddhant wanted to let her out because her words still, kept ringing in his ears
"Why did you bound me?"
Though, he knew it was quite strange to send her to work but the more she will busy herself in her work, the more she will be away from the grief she was nursing. He knew that she would refuse at first, but he believed at last she would agree. He wanted to take out the fear and wanted to bring the same confident, Avyakta. The wrath of people, will never leave her fear unless and until she would except and face the world. And for that he was there..with her to protect her, to motivate her,to guide and to bring her back...

Because...he Loved her!
