45. I no longer love you?

We came to the motel first. One more story session. This time Pri's parents and her Nani. They were tensed and annoyed with our switch but one happy person was Nani. We didn't tell them about our homosexuality yet.

"I knew it. Such a civilised person cannot be Pri. The stance and style didn't match only. I... I... am so sorry princess Chaya. You see I didn't know it was you. Asha, first time in life I must say you have done a commendable job by bringing these girls here. You are most welcome, princesses." Nani bow in front of us dramatically and we hid our smiles.

"Pri, I didn't know my words that day hurt you so much that you decided to swap your life with someone? I am so sorry, my child. I am so sorry." Pri's mother sobbed. I gestured to Pri to accept her apology. She was trying to change.

Pri sat next to her mother and said, "Mummy, I don't want to fight with you. I just wanted a life with my parents. I understand you both are working hard to meet the needs but you both are my need." I wiped a tear on the corner of my eye. It was a universal struggle. Either parents are too nosy or too carefree.

"We will try Pri. We will try from now on. We will lease the hotel and live with you. Start something in Mussoorie town. Close to our daughter. I don't know how much time we can makeup but we will live each moment." Pri's father side hugged his daughter and I could see a family getting back together.

"Oh! There is an addition to the little family. Prince Praneet of Kesarganj is Pri's husband, your son-in-law." Granny threw the bomb and Pri's parents looked at Praneet. One person who was jubilant with the information was Nani.

"Oh! My! I always knew Pri will prove her worth. Prince please come and join your new family." Nani pulled Praneet and made him sit next to Pri. Nani could be useful sometimes. She clicked a few pictures of them and took a selfie with Praneet. She checked and was satisfied with her pictures.

Praneet got up and took a deep breath. Pri smiled for the first time today, looking at his discomfort.

"Sir, Ma'am, our marriage happened against our wishes and we were not even aware of it. I may be a prince but run a separate business of mine. I also intend to give up my title and the benefits my family receives. However, when it comes to Pratima, I intend to keep the alliance with her for a lifetime. If, you think I am worthy of your daughter, please accept this marriage." Praneet was so honest.

"Prince, if we moved back in time, we would have gladly accepted this marriage but now we want our daughter to follow her heart. If she decides to stay married she can, if she wants to step out of it, we are with her." Pri's mother gave their decision.

"That's a wise decision Rajana. Having said that, I think Praneet is a very credible boy and even if we tried we couldn't have searched for a better life partner for our Pri." Granny suggested and Nani nodded her head.

"I don't want this marriage," Pri announced and left the room. Praneet looked so heartbroken.

"Give her time." Granny patted Praneet's arm.

"Aunty, we are sorry for lying to you. But, we also wish to thank you for everything. These days we spent here were the best days." I apologised on Ragini's and my behalf.

"Princess, I understand your dilemma. Our daughter also ran away from the life we gave her. If it's not much to ask, we want you both to run this hotel. We had just created a structure but in a short duration the effort you have put in, we think you must continue to look through its operation in future." Pri's father proposed to us and we couldn't be happier.

"We will be indebted to you for life, Uncle. We assure you we will run this hotel to the best of our abilities." Ragini assured him and I was only thanking God.

We had the best lunch with lots of laughter and fun. Praneet and Pratima were however lost.

"The lunch is fanatic aunty. You are a gourmet chef." I complimented Pri's mother and she smiled.

Post lunch we decided to spend a night in the Airbnb and Uday offered to get it ready till we come. We reached Pri's house and were awestruck. Not too big not too small. Just perfect size. Pri was a little better now and showed us the rooms I booked.

Ragini examined the bed and commented, "This bed and the mattress is perfect for sex."

Praneet who was tagging along with us everywhere laughed at her comment. He sat on the bed and affirmed, "I totally agree with you."

Something was fishy because Pri was biting the inside of her cheeks and Praneet was smirking. "Did you guys try it out when you stayed here?" I asked putting my arm around Pri.

"With him, never," Pri retorted.

Praneet looked into her eyes and countered, "With her, at all times of the day, all moments in the night and if eternity is a measurement."
These two were so adorable. Pri pushed Praneet a little back but he clasped her hand and pressed on his heart. "You see this, how erratic my heartbeats are? Your presence makes it uneven but just smile for me so that it can beat normal."

Ehhh! That was why I was never into boys. So cheesy.

But, I guess, some girls like cheese because Pri was assessing Praneet's words.

"Just stop! These games you have been playing since the start won't work anymore." Pri rejected the cheese.

"So, have they worked before?" Praneet knew the game well.

Pri didn't have a comeback. The girl was smitten by the Prince.
"Pratima, just give me a chance to rectify my errors. Please." Praneet took her hands in his and requested her so fervently.

"Please Pri, don't end this beautiful something you both have, just like that." Ragini pitched for her brother but Pri started to cry.

"Its not me who is spoiling things. He killed everything if there was anything." Pri sobbed and Praneet touched her shoulder but she jerked away his hand.

"Ragini, your brother is a mean, selfish, pervert, jerk. All he cares about is himself and his feelings. It was a beautiful moment when we kissed and there were sparks. But, this idiot passed a decree that we should separate because he couldn't tame his desires around me." Pri stood next to Praneet and questioned him, "did you, Mr Kesari ever, gave a thought to how I felt about everything between us? Did you ask me how I felt around you? I am sure it did not even cross your mind to ask a 'nobody'. You made a decision and I had to obey." Pri wiped her tears and turned her back.
"From the day I first saw you near the car waiting for me, I developed a huge crush on The Royal Chauffeur. We had our differences but I only felt attracted towards you. I hated myself for cultivating those feelings which I knew will never be recognised. When we sorted our issues and you sent me "chocolate" I realised, I love you more than I could ever explain and more than you will ever know.
But you kept pushing and pulling me as per your comfort. I felt like a swing. When you pushed me away yesterday afternoon, I pushed away all my feelings too.
Look what you are doing now, you are forcing me to accept everything and forget what happened in the past." Pri wiped her tears and warned, "I am not coming with you, get that straight."

She moved out of the room when Praneet called her, "Pratima, I am sorry for being mean, selfish, pervert and jerk. But that's how I am and I realised it soon enough to push you away. I was a fool. I know that. I have always known. Hence I never let anyone in my life. My family was so complex and I didn't want any girl to suffer. When you walked into my life I couldn't help but feel drawn towards you. When you bravely tackled my grandfather I was certain if there was any girl meant for me, it was you, Pratima and not Chaya. Yes, that's true.
When I kissed you I just didn't want to stop there. I am twenty-five and have never been so close to a girl. What do you expect? My desires were burning.
I was trying my best to figure out if this was just attraction or something more. Therefore, I suggested us, to take a break.
Coz I could see the love dazzling in your eyes. Giving each other a break from these raging feelings will make us realise our true feelings was my only motive.
I didn't want to hurt you. You were like this treasure I wanted to protect and keep safe." Praneet tried to put forward his point of view.

"You never discussed with me? You never tried to ask me, what I wanted? If you could see, 'love dazzling in my eyes', for once didn't you think how heartbroken I might feel? I don't want to live with a self-centred person." Pri left the room and Praneet didn't stop her this time.

"Praneet your motive was not wrong but the execution was. Sort this out. Do you love her?" Ragini asked her brother.

"If only I could explain." Praneet wiped his tears and left us alone.

"Chaya, promise me, we will never stop talking to each other. If there are any differences between us we will sort them out by conversing with each other. These cold wars muddle the brain." I put my hand in Ragini's and gave her my word.

"No Chaya, I am very tired. Not right now." Ragini tried to move away when I pushed her on the bed. I opened my shirt. I knew she will not be able to resist.
"You naughty witch." Ragini pulled me and we kissed hard. Our clothes graced the floor and we made love. The room was magical and indeed there was something about the mattress. It was soft yet hard. Just perfect. It helped our jumps and pumps.
After two hours when we were completely exhausted a loud bang on our door got our attention.

I opened the door lazily and Pri was standing with an irritated face, "Can you make a little less sound? My room is just below yours and it's... It's... very disturbing."

"Remember when I booked, I mentioned NO disturbance." I teased Pri.

"Besides, your husband is around, why don't you give it a try? The mattress is PURRRRFECTT," Ragini walked sexily and purred like a cat. Damn! That was hot.

Pri nodded her head in irritation and left. We laughed at her.

**********************************************************************************************************************

It was ten in the night and like good old days, I was sipping hot milk in my room. The glorious mountains looked so pretty. Praneet was staying in my parent's bedroom. He had yet not told me he loved me. Why should I live with him? This was my home.

Someone knocked on my door. I opened it and it was Praneet. Why was he here? I didn't want to talk to him.

"Can I please have a word with you?" He requested.
Can I decline?
No! I cannot.

"Tell me," I said not moving from the door.

"Let's go out and talk. Please." I looked around and the house was quiet. Granny had slept since she was too tired. I wore my jacket and we came out. The cold breeze greeted us. It rained earlier.

We walked a distance and I could see a few known neighbours looking at us. I didn't really bother. We both were silent. We reached a park near my house. While sitting on the bench in total silence I was feeling emotional for no reason.

"Pratima," Praneet took my name and I wiped a tear before it could roll down. My name sounded beautiful when he called me.
"I am leaving tomorrow."
What? Why? He has given up on us? I didn't ask those questions but I felt so miserable.

"Pratima, I am not giving upon us. Not now, not ever." Praneet scouted to my level so he could see my face. He lifted my chin and our eyes met. He had the most honest eyes. Intertwining our hands he continued, "you have a long list of complaints from me. I know I am at fault. All I ask is one chance to rectify my mistakes. Pratima, I don't want to use this as an excuse but as royals, we are taught to think about ourselves and that is what I did. So, till the time I change myself and become worthy of a big-hearted commoner, I will not pressurize you to take me back in your life. I will win your heart with my efforts.
Pratima, I don't promise to be the perfect one for you but I will work on being the one for you. Will you give me that chance?"

What could I say?
Do I have the option of denying his request?
Even if I did, I won't.
I smiled and nodded my head. I don't know where this will take us but I wanted to walk this path with Praneet. If this was a mistake, I wanted to commit this mistake.

He got up with a smile and we decided to go home. We were silent and no one spoke anything. Before entering house I stopped him at the entrance and said, "Praneet I don't want you to change. I want to accept you the way you are. All I am asking is... is a little say in our life. You are leaving tomorrow is also your decision, not ours. If we really want to stay together, then create an us not you and me. I know you want the best for us. I never doubted your motives but..."

"I am bad at execution. I know, " Praneet completed my statement and looked down. "I don't know what to do. I am directionless. Pratima, will you help me, win us?" Praneet took my face between his palms and I could see his eyes tearing up. I was in a trance. He had captivated me. I just nodded. Our faces were just an inch apart and his lips were too inviting.

"This I can definitely not do alone and absolutely not without your permission. Can I kiss you one last time before leaving?" Praneet asked for my permission and his spell was strong. I ceased the distance between us and kissed him. Our lips were moving and he pulled me closer.
My first perfect kiss.
My leg involuntarily popped and even though it was Eleven in the night, the fountain in the park started. I didn't care even if it was a ghost. My dream of a princess Mia like kiss realised. I was happy.
I no longer love you is a delusional statement.
