The Comets' Stardom
🌸You🌸
"Yo, hurry up! We're gonna be late!" Levi called from downstairs.
I was in a rush to get ready. My brothers and I have been performing all over town, since Christmas. We were making quite a fanbase for ourselves, despite being fresh meat on stage. I quickly grabbed my leather jacket and black bucket hat. Not wanting the risk of being recognized by the real world, in case of any "crazies", my brothers and I thought it'd be best to hide my face from the public and pass myself off as an adult in their 20s, like Levi and Joseph. I also didn't want to get recognized my my classmates, either. Something just felt like-..if they knew, it would likely make things harder for me during school.
"He-hey, I'm here!" I gasped as I made it into the car.
"Finally," Joseph rolled his eyes, "you take forever to get ready."
"Says the guy who takes an HOUR for a shower, another HOUR to change, and another HOUR for make up? Yeah, don't roll your eyes with me, bitch."
". . . ."
My brothers and I then began to laugh after the short break of silence. Ahh, talking shit with your siblings always just strengthens the bond. I thought to myself. Of course, you can't go too far. As we were driving to our destination, I pulled out my phone. I was sending a message to both Heavy and Dee, telling them that I'll be missing the first day of school because of a "dentist appointment".
I sighed, closing my eyes as I released my arms onto my lap. The only reason I haven't told them was because...well, I had no reason. But I do want to tell them about the band, eventually.
"Ey, nap time's over. Get up."
I opened my eyes and felt the car pump in a stop. We had people, from the club we were performing at, help us carry our instruments, posters, and merch inside. The place was loud, but muffled since we entered through the back door. The manager of the club told us to wait in the dressing room until we were callled.
"Feel free to use anything in here," welcomed the manager, "my employees will handle everything."
He then close the door as he left us to our devices. My brothers and I looked around.
"Daaamn, this is much better than that pub we performed at, last week."
"No kidding," I agreed with Levi.
This room had many extra clothes on the racks and pretty accessories on the dresser. It had nice and comfortable sofas to rest on. A coffee/tea maker, and best of all, a whole dessert table with a chocolate fountain! It was like the three of us were young, crazy kids again; snacking on the food, modeling the clothes to a ridiculous level, and having a little fun. After about 30 minutes of fooling around, we heard a knock from the room door and the manager from earlier popped his head in.
"Hey, Comets, you're on in ten."
"Thanks," Joe replied, "we'll be out there in a minute. Let's go, guys."
Levi and I nodded our heads and grabbed our bass and guitar. I also put my hat back on, covering my eyes. The three of us stood on the left wing of the stage as the announcer introduced our act.
*Ladies and gentleman of Rock 'N' Roll, today we present a new group rising from the ground-up. Give a big hand to Evangeline and the Burning Comets!*
Only half of the crowd clapped. Yikes..I guess there were some high expectations. My brothers and I stepped onto the stage and the room went quiet. Reaching our places, I could feel my knees buckling like crazy. I was so nervous. I looked to the side at Levi. He gave me a thumbs up and that gave me all the courage I needed.
"Heheh~...Hit it!" (Okay, Wattpad is being stupid again. So here's the song -_-)
The background beats kicked us off and introduced the audience to a familiar pop song. But then, Lev and I tore into our bass and guitar strings and Joe pumped the music with his drums.
You: I've had a little bit too much, much
Lev & Joe: (Oh, oh, oh-oh)
You: All of the people start to rush

Lev & Joe: (Oh, oh, oh-oh)
You & Lev: What's- (WHAT'S!) go-(GO!)-in' on, on the floor?
You: I love this record, baby, but I can't see straight anymore

Lev: Control your poison, babe, roses have thorns, they say
And they're all gettin' hosed tonight

There was a slight pause. And I took the short chance to take some water that was at the side of my mic stand. Time to let it out-
You: WOAH!..LET'S GO!!

Just as the song finished, the crowd was immediately roaring with applause. Under my hat, my eye shimmered with please. Why was I so worried in the first place? I chuckled to myself. All my worries were flying away as we got off the stage to make room for the next performance. We went back to our dressing room to wipe off the sweat and makeup, and my brothers and I were all giddy.
"YOOO! Did you see that crowd? They loved us!" Joseph boasted.
"With a result like that, this club will be begging for us to do another show here." Levi added.
"Well," I added with a smirk, "I wouldn't be opposed. Heh, I mean, look at all this!" I threw my arms open, refering to the room we were in. "I'd love to come back."
After freshening up, we were told to come out to the bar to meet some fans and have fun watching the other acts. The moment we stepped into the main room, a girl squealed as she pointed at us.
"Aaaahhh!! It's them! Evangeline and the Comets!"
People began to swarm us. They asked for pictures, autographs, or even a simple handshake. We graciously did as they asked until the hype died down. It was no surprise to anyone that I became a favorite to the audience, for both boys and girls. But I won't ignore the women that were crying for my brothers, too. It made me laugh to see Lev and Joe try to console them.
"Evangeline! Can we see your face!?" A random voice called. Uh-oh.
I still had my bucket hat covering my eyes and I made sure, during the performance, that it wouldn't fall off to reveal anything. But, of course, give people a mystery, they'll want every detail of the truth.
"Sorry, I can't." I politely declined, leaving a few to sigh in disappointment but, this was my identity I wanted to protect. Especially since I'm a minor, still.
A while after the meet-and-greet, I stuck with my brothers at the bar. As they drank whatever they wanted, cause they were both over 18, I was stuck drinking plain lemonade. Or was I~?
Anywho, we watched the following three acts before it was time to pack up and leave. Today was so much fun. Best of all, we did get a callback for another show here, next month! That, I couldn't wait to come.
