PROLOGUE

"Please, dad!" Alyssa begged, trying to get her father to finally let her go on a mission. She had asked him for years, but every time her father said something like 'you're not ready yet' or 'it's far too dangerous'. But this time Alyssa wouldn't stop.

"No, Alyssa, I already told you," Tony replied annoyed as he tried to get to the bathroom without his daughter stepping on his feet. "It's too dangerous."

"That's what you always say. Seriously, dad, you've trained me for what... 6 years? Since I was 12. I spent evening after evening with combat and weapons, and I really want to use that now. But in a real fight, not just against some... punching bag," she crossed her arms over her chest and stood in front of her father, blocking his way.

"You do train with people at your training. Forgot about Natasha?" he said and tried to get past Alyssa, but she just blocked his way again.

"Please dad, just one mission," she asked desperately. "I just want an opportunity to prove myself..." she admitted and looked down.

Tony sighed and put a hand on his daughter's shoulder making her look up. "You want to prove yourself? Fine. Then meet me in the meeting room tomorrow at 2. The team will be there, but for now just please let me go to the bathroom, I'm peeing myself," he said and quickly skipped to the bathroom, leaving a flabbergasted Alyssa behind.

Once the realization hit her that she was going on a mission with the mightiest heroes of earth, and was actually gonna fight the bad guys, the only thing that filled the Stark tower was happy cheering and squealing.
