Ch.11 Angie's cult

~Y/n pov~

Everyone was gathered in the gym.

Everything from the previous murder was gone, it looked as if it never happened.

"Ugh...I'm tired as fuck." Miu complained, "I was up all night fixing that computer."

Shuichi asked her about it.

After a few minutes, the Monokubs appeared, or what was left of them.

"Why'd you call us out all of a sudden?" Monotaro asked.

Monophanie stared at him for a few seconds before saying, "We're the ones who called them out. Did you forget that too?"

"LETS-PRESENT-THE-MOTIVE-NOW." Monodam said robotically.

Shuichi was the first to speak up, "So it is a motive after all."

"It doesn't matter what the motive is, we will not do the killing game anymore." Angie smiled cheerfully.

"Yeah we aren't afraid." Tenko agreed.

Keebo smiled, "Because we have Atua."

What the actual fuck...a cult?

"This time, the motive is a transfer student." Monotaro announced, "Yep, a new student is transferring, and not just any student.."

Monophanie pulled out a book, "You get to resurrect one of the people who've already died...by performing the ritual in this book."

"W-what?" Tsumugi asked.

The Monokubs didn't explain anymore and simply left.

There was a stunned silence.

"There's no way resurrecting the dead is possible." Kaito exclaimed.

He says that....but it seems a lot is possible....almost as if....no one is actually dead...they just no longer exist here.

"Wh-who the fuck would believe that load of unscientific bullshit?" Miu stuttered.

"I don't think the resurrection ritual can actually bring someone back to life. Maybe the people who died aren't actually dead." Angie exclaimed.

Shuichi frowned, "But we saw their dead bodies."

"If everyone is alive that's means they're somewhere in the school, right?" Maybe one of them write message in courtyard?" Gonta told us.

"The message in the courtyard..." Shuichi muttered.

"It has more writing now". Gonta stated.

Angie quickly snatched the book from Shuichi, "I will be taking this."

She ran off before anyone could protest.

After that, everyone started to slowly leave and do their own things.

I walked into the computer room to see Miu messing around with the computer.

Silently I sat beside her and asked, "What are you doing?"

Miu jumped and dropped the wire she was holding, "You fuckin' scared me.... Oh, hey Y/n."

"Hey, so what you doing?"

"Oh...I'm just tweaking the computer, there is a program already on it... some sort of virtual world." Miu explained, "Ah! Don't tell anyone else...I want to fix it up and have it be a surprise."

"Yeah I won't tell anyone else. How've you been?" I smiled.

"Other than the fact people keep dying... I'm fuckin' awesome! At least I still get to work on my inventions." She grinned.

"I know what you mean. I wonder when my lab will open up...and what it will look like." I stated.

Miu hummed in concentration.

We chatted for a bit more before I decided to leave.

"I'll leave you to it then." I stated, exiting the computer room.

I walked down the corridor, heading back to my dorm, before a smaller body collided with me.

Falling to the floor, I let out a small 'oof'.

"Sorry N/n!" Kokichi jumped up and quickly glanced behind him.

I sighed, getting up and brushing myself off, "It's fine."

Instead of saying anything else, Kokichi grabbed my hand and started sprinting off.

I stumbled a bit and then ran too, trying to keep up with Kokichi's fast pace.

After a few minutes of running, Kokichi ran into a classroom, closing the door behind up.

We both collapsed against the wall, panting.

"So why are we running?" I asked, still slightly out of breath.

"Nishishi~ I made Kaito angry." Kokichi laughed.

I didn't ask further because honestly I didn't care why.

"Angie's cult is stupid." I stated.

Kokichi nodded, "They make up all these stupid rules and follow a fake God. Angie is controlling them all."

"You wanna walk around at nighttime to piss them off"

"Duh!" Kokichi laughed, "I was gonna do that anyway...did you read my mind?"

"I didn't read your mind, I guess we are just similar"

"This is why you're my favourite."

My cheeks flushed slightly, "huh?"

Kokichi smiled teasingly, poking my red cheek.

Moments like these with Kokichi happened often. I spent almost everyday hanging around with Kokichi. Often, I'd also be visiting Miu and Kokichi normally left me to it when I visited Miu.

Nighttime came and I snuck out of my room.

Shortly after, I met up with Kokichi.

"I kinda wanna stargaze." I plopped down on the grass.

Kokichi didn't say anything and threw himself down beside me.

We stared up at the sky in silence.

"Hey, Kokichi?"

He hummed to show he was listening.

"Don't the constellations look off."

Kokichi thought for a moment then turned to me, "Now that you point it out, they do look kinda off."

Suddenly, I felt a warm wrap around my waist, as I was pulled into Kokichi's side.

"W-what are you doing?"

He didn't respond, and instead, rested his head on my shoulder.

We sat there is silence, taking comfort in the others warmth.

Then, we heard voices.

We both stayed as quiet and still as possible to listen to the conversation.

"Hey Shuichi." It was Tenko's voice.

Tenko started complaining about Angie.

So she isn't brainwashed? She's only there because of Himiko.

"She's starting the ritual tomorrow and is only opening her door for people who are part of the student council president...but please..stop her."

Shuichi agreed and that was it...interesting.

I'll probably drop by tomorrow to see how it goes.

I'm not sure how long had passed, but Kokichi's body felt a bit heavier, turning to look at him, I realised he had fell asleep.

He was cute when he was sleeping.

His soft purple hair framed his face, a peaceful expression rested on his face. I think that's the first time I've seen that expression.

Gently, I picked Kokichi up bridle style. He was a bit heavy, if I was shorter than him I don't think I would've been able to pick him up.

Suddenly, a voice cut through the darkness of the night.

"Hey you! Why are wondering around at nighttime." I think it was Himiko who said that.

Checking left and right, I quickly sprinted back to the doors.

Himiko didn't see my face, so she wouldn't of know who it was and I knew she would never catch up because I was running.
