Chapter 12
When I finished with all the papers, the first thing I did as head over to the punching bag. I needed to let of steam. My previous,uh, embarrassing moment with Jason had been forgotten because of my little spat. I wondered what he thought of me now. He probably would act as nice to me or make another move. Good. No distractions needed. Then why did I fell so... empty? Sad?
My inner voice kept going on about my feeling. It was like a freaking boxing ring in my head. There was Angel on the right in her white dress and halo, she wad the nice one, assuring me that I should be truthful about me supposed feelings. Then their was devil, clad in her outrageous black dress and stiletto heels, she always said the wrong thing. Now, it seemed like she was winning, she kept nagging me about Jason and his 'gorgeousness' and how it was a big mistake to jump out of his arms. I growled at myself. Making your conscience into two people, first sign of madness.
Punch.
But now, I needed to stay put on my skinny self.
Punch.
And not think about Jason.
Punch. Punch.
And his messy, perfect hair.
Punch. Punch.
And his eyes. Man those eyes, like the stormy sky and the sea had merged together.
Punch. Punch.
Nor blue, nor grey, the way he had stared at the party.
Punch. Punch. Punch.
Him and his perfect-
"Some ones angry today." I whizzed around to see Tyler. As if it were an instinct, I jumped up to hug him, wrapping my arms around his neck. He laughed, "So you missed me, huh?"
I didn't reply with a smart come back like I usually would, instead I grinned and answered, "Too right I did." His smile was contagious as he linked arms with me, "Come, give my older melody a break."
I raised my eyebrows, "Melody?"
"The punching bag."
"You named the punching bag Melody?"
My only answer was a shrug,"You name a guy like me Ty?"
"Where are we going?" Shaking my head as I asked.
Ty shrugged, pulling at my arm, "Come on,"
We arrived at a small cafe with a bright sign with bold lettering: Johnny 's.
"Ty, you didn't have" I started to protest but my stomach had a mind of its own as it rumbled loudly.
Chuckling. He held the door open for me. What a gentleman. We were greeted by a Chinese man with black hair and a ear pierce on his right ear. He looked cheery and joyful, "Welcome to Johnny 's sir madam, I will be you waiter." I read his name tag, "hi Rafaello!"
He scowled, "Raphael, madam, Raphael."
We laughed has he led us to our booth. The cafe was an average size, with its glossy bottle green tiles and pictures of food. The place really did make you hungry.
He sat down as i slid into the opposite place, "I didn't know you were that good."
Raising my eyebrows in surprise, I took a glance at the menu, "You were there?"
"Yeah, I saw you beat those two up, they were some of our best."
I scoffed, "Seriously? They need some big improvments. Nothing was right, their posture, their skill their-" I proceeded to rat about their poor fighting skills but was rudely interrupted by some one calling my name, "Hey Em."
I spun around growling, " Can't you were that I'm talking here?"
It was when I saw the people calling my name that I shut my mouth.
Oh no. God, please save me.
570 words,
