Mark kissed Jack lightly as he walked in the door and the younger went to walk out. "I'll be home late. I've got meetings up until 8 tonight but they'll probably go on longer." Mark sighed lightly but nodded. "Hey, I'm sorry. I know we're both really busy recently."
Mark shook his head, looking over at Jack. "I just miss being together. We don't see each other anymore. It's one of us waking up, leaving for meetings and then when they get home the other one leaves for the rest of the night before we go to sleep." Jack wrapped his left arm around Mark, looking up at him.
He ran his hand up and down against his back, feeling the elder's hand come to hold his waist lightly. "I promise that we'll have a day with each other soon, okay?" Jack whispered, watching Mark sigh again before nodding. "I have to go, but I'll be home later."
Mark followed him as he walked towards the gate. "Be careful, and text me if plans change. I love you." He told him while holding the gate open for him. Jack leaned up to press a kiss to the other's lips.
"I love you too. I'll see you soon, okay?" Mark nodded, kissing him once more before Jack walked to his car door and got in. He closed the gate, walking back towards the front door.

Mark sighed as he rolled back over in bed, staring at the neon letters on his alarm clock.
10:48 PM
He tried to sleep for the next hour, jolting awake when he heard the buzz from downstairs box when the gate opened. He sat in their bed, waiting for his boyfriend. "There's a guest room down the hall." Jack spoke to the coworker who had walked in with him. "No problem." He told her as he opened the door to the guest room. "I'll just be down the hall."
Jack walked through their bedroom door. "You're still up?" Jack asked, receiving a glare.
"Yeah, I was too worried about you to sleep." Jack set his phone down on the nightstand, walking towards the closet. "Why didn't you text me like I asked you to?" Mark asked, sighing when Jack ignored him. "Sean."
"I was busy. I figured you'd be asleep by the time the meetings got over anyway." Jack told him, stripping his jeans and sweater before walking back into the room. "I'm sorry. Some friends at the last meeting wanted to get some drinks. I should've texted you." Jack told him quietly before he slid under the covers.
"We've already been fighting enough, Mark. Please just go to sleep." Jack told him quietly as he rolled over to lay on his side away from Mark. "Goodnight. I love you."
"Night, love you too." Mark whispered before pulling him closer to the red head and wrapping his arms around his waist. "Stop being stubborn and cuddle with me." Mark mumbled into his hair.
Jack groaned out of annoyance lightly before he let himself relax into Mark's arms. "Sweet dreams, baby boy." Mark whispered, hearing a tired hum in response.
