The endgame is Merwaine just thought I mention this before this starts.

Merlin knew sometimes Gwaine had bad ideas. Yet this one took the cake. They did not even know each other for six months. Arthur was not impressed at what Gwaine caused. Merlin knew that magic existed, after all, he had it, but the fact that his friend somehow messed up that badly was something that did not surprise him.

"What do you mean you unintentionally made a new power?" His eyebrow raised in incredulity at what Gwaine had just now explained.

"Remember the time I had jokingly told you about the rumor that I started?"

"Yeah, the one where you were like 'Would it not be funny when Lancelot and Gwen would start dating?' and they ended up doing that?"

"Yeah, but well I realized each rumor that I started somehow came true. Remember Stacy?"

Merlin had to take a deep breath in and out. "Yes?"

"Well, I may or may not have caused this. Now she got herself arrested because it was found out that she sold drugs."

"That was not your fault Gwaine. You only made a rumor up with her selling something good, not what it was." He tried to reason.

"Merlin, there is a rumor that is with us in it." Arthur interrupted their conversation.

"Gwaine what did you do now?" Merlin asked in fond exasperation and also a bit of wariness as it could not be something good.

"Well, nothing other than jokingly said that both of you are hot and I would not mind dating you?"

"Arthur, what rumor?" He decided to ask their other friend because he needed to know.

"Well, they think we three are having some kind of poly relationship. I am not sure how that happened but now that I heard you, saying this it makes sense." Arthur let out a sigh feeling fed up with Gwaine.

"How could I have known-"

"You said it yourself you knew that rumors might get true and now this. I am not too mad about this as it could be worse." He shrugged at the end.

Though he never mentioned it, Merlin had a tiny crush on Gwaine. It also did not help that both of his friends were good-looking, and he wouldn't mind trying, but he also did not want to ruin whatever friendship they had. But Gwaine was the person he had a bigger crush on right now than Arthur. Though the blond teen was someone he had something deeper. It could be described as almost soulmate-like.

"So what do we do now with this information?" Arthur asked.

"I don't know, whatever we're going to do could make this even worse."

Merlin thought more about this as he listened to the two try to figure out what their next plan would be.

"Um, I wouldn't mind trying." A few minutes later he interrupted the two.

"This would exactly prove my point that the rumors that I started always happen." Gwaine raised an eyebrow at this and Arthur snorted.

"Bullshit and you know it. It's just a coincidence that they come true."

"Look, I know but I also really want to try it. We can break it off when it doesn't work."

Merlin knew that this might destroy their friendship but he decided that it might as well be worth a try. The two other teens glanced at each other before agreeing to this. In the end, it did not work out with Arthur. But with Gwaine things were even better, it was the best choice Merlin had made. And that was only thanks to a stupid rumor that Gwaine had started.
