Percy being a sweetheart and takes care of Merlin part 2
Arthur pov
It had been a week since his memories returned and he cursed about him leaving Merlin. He knew that his little brother figure will for not be alright. He felt awful about his treatment and he knew how wrong it was: how he thought magic was evil and corrupting people.
Merlin never had been someone that had hurt anyone without good reason. He had tried to heal his wounds and even as he pushed him aside, he stood by him and helped him. Even though he could had left him to die. This showed him that the other cared for him and he regretted dying.
His heart even now broke when hearing the fragile desperate sadden tone of him. The tone he never wanted to hear from Merlin. He wished he could had hugged the other and telling him that it will be alright.
He was also thinking of Gwen, but he was sure that she would be more fine than his little brother would be. Merlin pretty much sounded as if his world was breaking apart. Not just sounded as, he had a good feeling that his death made Merlin feel that he failed him.
Not true and when he would meet Merlin, he would make sure that he knows how much he appreciated him. But first he would need to find him or anyone of his knights. It was funny how he had met Gwen and the female explained that she ended up being reborn.
Lancelot as well and the male ended up getting together with Gwen. He always had known that the two loved each other and it was fine with him. They had been reborn after all and just got their memories back as well.
That was why they talked it out and decided to go with a poly relationship. Gwen could not choose between the two and this was what she told them. She loved them both equally and so it was decided. He was fine with this and in these day of age, it was accepted.
Even loving the same gender was. This would be awesome as he knows that Gwaine loved Merlin. All he could hope was that he would meet them and hope for the best. Hope that they would be fine.
Merlin for sure will need them and knowing the moron he would probably be sulking in his room even after many hundred years. Whatever it would take, he will find him and drag him out of bed.
Gwaine's pov
He had no idea how long it was since his death but he knew from everything looking advanced that this was not the same age any longer. There was as well the thing that he had slowly gotten his old memories back and that was why he was hoping that he would either find Merlin or one of his friends.
His heart ached and he was worried sickly for his crush. His death must had caused a lot of sorrow. Gwaine was pretty sure that it was crushing the other. All he could hope that Arthur at least had been there for the other or at least one of their other friends. Hoping that Arthur had survived and that Morgana had not succeeded.
Yet Gwaine couldn't help but feel like Merlin wouldn't had been able to handle his death. The thought alone for his crush to be depressed made him want to find him. But it would not be easy. The world had way more people then in his past. Maybe he could ask on the internet for help.
Then again he was not even sure that this could work. Other then him drawing Arthur or anyone else of his friend. Maybe this could make him find them. All he could hope that this would work.
Back with Percy
It had been weeks since him feeling weird. What he realized was that this had been his magic picking up on something. It had been weird and he couldn't put his finger on why his magic acted up. Something clearly was going on and he was not sure that it would be good or bad. Hopefully it would be nothing but knowing how his magic is acting, well he felt that it might be something good.
This also reminded him of the times that there had been wars. It was his magic warning him before it had happened and loosing people that he started to know hurt. These people were comrades and it made him feel helpless. It had been hard and he had to change his looks after many years and change their memories that either him dying or moving away.
A sigh went out at the thought of something happening and he wished he knew how to help Merlin. The male was still unconscious and the only reason why the other survived was both his magic and the fact that he used his own to teleport food in his stomach and water.
It was better then the drips that were given. Another thing was that Camelot in theory existed. He had put some illusions on it to make it seem that there is nothing there. He also made it so that no one would come close to this place. Percy even preserved Camelot, as he wanted to have this.
It was not easy but he had to. There had been no heir to the thrown and it was why he faked the destruction of Camelot after all they were getting restless and it was better for everyone. A sigh went out and he glanced at Merlin.
Even when the other was asleep he took care of him. Making sure that his friend would not wake up feeling dirty and hungry. The only thing that would be difficult was the muscles. It would take long for the other to be able to even walk.
Though he made sure with his magic that there was no lasting damage, it would still be hard for Merlin. Knowing the male he would probably not move and stay in bed. Other then when he would drag him out of the room. All he could hope that Merlin would soon wake up as he missed the male. Hopefully he could help him back to at least be at least more at peace. Percy knew that it would take a while as even now he had days were he was mourning for all of his friend that died. His heart ached for how Merlin looked like when he was still awake and he was sure that it had been the reason why he fell in a coma.
Merlin's pov
His body felt relaxed and he wondered how that could be. Merlin never had felt this well. Yes, there was something off, like his weak feeling but other then that he felt rather well body wise. His mentality was still sad and upset.
Even though he had rested he still felt tired, exhausted was more the right wording. Never was he liking to wake up but he knew that he should. Percy would for sure feel worried and he hated worrying his friend. The gentle giant had been there and even dragged him back to Camelot.
Even though he had not wanting to. He couldn't stay at the place where he had so many memories of his beloved and his big brother figure. God he hated being there and the only reason why he went out was because of Percy giving him that sad puppy look. Curse him looking this way.
Slowly his eyes opened and he furrowed his brows as he felt way too weak. It was almost possible to be able to lift that goddamn blanket. How was it that he barely could even lift that damn blanket.
Wasn't it enough that he lost the people he cared of but now his body even failed him? He felt the tears build up. His life sucked and now he just felt the urge to die. It would be way easier then having to deal with this all.
"Holy shit, your awake." Percy's voice sounded such astonished that made him wonder why he was looking this way.
He wanted to say something but he couldn't bring himself to. His throat felt as if it was closing and it made it impossible to get something out. Another thing that he noticed was how dry his throat felt.
"Ah, here let me get you some water." Percy rushed out instantly after saying this and he was confused at the clothes that were not fitting or not really. They looked great on Percy but it was clothes that he had never seen. They looked weird and it puzzled him, not understanding this.
Now that he was thinking about this, the room looked nothing alike he had been. The bed even was different. It was as if it was made out of clouds. Even the blanket felt soft and it was confusing to him.
"I think you will not be able to drink on your own. I can help you or you try first of course." Percy was as always considerate and it warmed his heart to see this. Even when he wanted to drink on his own, he could not.
"I am guessing you won't be able to lift the glass up."
He huffed out and pouting but nodding as ducking his head, feeling the heat on his cheeks.
"Don't worry about it. I will help you, after all for what are brother figure there." Percy said it with such a soft spoken and reassuring tone that it made him feel warm but as well emotional.
Percy was someone that had been there the entire time and he had the feeling that the time that went by had been years maybe even hundreds of years. The thought alone made him feel guilty and this would make him want to give Percy a tight hug.
He felt himself soon in a sitting position and with Percy helping him drink the water. It helped to sooth his throat.
"S-So w-why..." He coughed a few times as barely managing to talk. It was a reminder of him having stayed quiet that long.
"Ah, well uh you um kinda..." Percy was clearly trying to tell something and was awkward. It was making him nervous at what the other would tell him now.
"You um went into a coma. Didn't wake up after um well 800 years."
Hearing this alone made him feel horrified and staring with wide eyes over to the person that had for sure been there the entire time. This made him feel bad that Percy had stayed with him but how? It made no- It was now that he felt the magic coming from his friend that he realized that the other had magic.
"Hug..." He stuttered out softly as he wanted to show his appreciation but with how difficult it was for him to talk, he could just show it in affection.
"Ah, I would love to give you a hug." Percy looked so happy and with that bright smile, he couldn't help but smile slightly back.
The other carefully hugged him, almost as if he was fragile. It was probably true with how weak he was. It would take ages for him to manage to even move. Kind of depressing but at least Percy was not going to leave him. That much he knew or why else was he staying with him that long?
He slowly raised his arms and wrapping weakly them around the other. It took a lot of energy and he felt exhausted. This will be really frustrating.
