❝ Dance with me in this never ending moment. ❞

Y/n was young lady of the L/N clan which was known for their unwavering support to the common people all the way back in the peaks of aristocracy. Unlike her older siblings, she was a weak and frail child.

Unable to go out and make friends without worrying, she always seemed to live in the dark room of her's. Though there was one place that she would go in discreet, without having anyone know about it. 

The beautiful coasts of Mondstadt. Where the land,water, sun and the sky all appeared to meet each other creating the wonderful scenario. 

You quickly get up from your bed, collecting the necessary items and wearing a long hideous cloak around so that nobody would recognize you. Walking out the sun shone brightly and kids were playing around. You walked on the bridge that led you out of the Mondstadt city as a flock of birds flew past you which made the hood you wore, slightly slip off.

The world outside did make you happy and realize how much you've been missing out on but you were a weak frail child...it was only right of you to stay away from the harms of the real world yet your yearning to live a life outside kept growing each year.

Walking past the silent whispering woods, you were at ease as there were not much people using the path. Birds were chirping and squirrels were seen running along with boars. You finally walked out of the forest to an open area known as the Starfell valley which had a clear lake in the middle of it with a statue of the seven on the lake.

A gust of wind came blowing across your face as it gently brushed you. Leaves blew in swirls as you saw a woman of your age dance the tango elegantly unlike you've ever seen before. She had sky blue colored short hair with a black headband and a four pointed silver and blue hairpin on her hair. Her eyes were closed as she danced along.

The strong wind gust somehow managed to completely slip your hood off. At that very moment, the woman before you opened to reveal her heterochromatic eyes. Both of you give each other a glance but the woman before you looked panicked.  She stopped dancing and shouted.

POV SWITCH :1ST POV

"Quick! Cover your head and sit low!" She commanded. All of a sudden just like she had instructed, I sat down without any hesitation. She quickly jumped and jolted in front of me with her great sword held in her hand. A fire bullet was headed my way and she made it right on time to protect me.

A Fatui sniper appeared before us. The woman before me grunted. "Ugh, you low-life beings have nothing better to do. Vengeance shall be mine!" She shouted as she charged at the pyro sniper with her greatsword.

I stood there in a corner, watching her fight so elegantly almost as if all those dance steps were infused into her fighting skills. She flawlessly took the sniper down and waved her hair off after she was done. She scoffed and dismissed her greatsword as she walked towards me. I flinched.

"Are you alright? You aren't injured or anything I suppose." She said in a mighty voice. She checked around for any injuries.

I somehow was nervous of speaking and looking into her eyes. My hands were trembling. I just wanted to thank her for saving me but somehow this was my first time speaking to someone as skilled as her.

She took notice of my trembling hands and caught them around hers. "Don't worry...They were probably after you considering how pretty and valuable you could be to them. They're gone, there's no need to tremble anymore." 

In that brief moment, both our eyes met. In her eyes it was all pure concern because of me. My trembling somehow settled when she held my hands.

"T-Thank...you..." I somehow tried to mumble out. She left a slight chuckle as she let my hands go. 

"Eula. Eula Lawrence is my name." She said with a slight hesitance. 

Lawrence clan— A clan known for it's tyrant rule over Mondstadt years ago. The members of the clan were infuriated with the fate they were settled with but with years so did this flame of anger and vengeance come to an end slowly. Many members of the clan believed that their family's actions were unjustified and cruel yet the majority of the Lawrence clan is still resented till today.

 I was a little worried if she had any intentions like her ancestors as they were known for their bad temper but just now she had saved me and also comforted me. 

"Pleasure to meet you Eula, My name is Y/n L/n." I said with a smile. Of course for a Lawrence to save me just like that means she is one of those people who realized that their family was wrong. 

"I see you're from the L/n family..hah forgive me then, I suppose my presence would only irate you." She turned on her heels and began walking back.

"W-wait please! Don't go, I'm not irritated by your presence at all! It's just....I don't talk to much people often...nor do I come out often.." I tried calling her back. 

"Hm? Why is that one must ask." She left a confused stare. I took my moment to explain her everything in great detail about how I never left my estate due to my health problems. We were seated near the lake as we talked things.

She was different. In a good way of course. She was more of a determined person who would strive for a better future. We kept talking till the dusk broke out.

I began coughing a lot more as the weather kept getting cold. Eula got concerned so got up to conclude. She brought her hand forward to help me get up.

"Thank you.." I said. 

"You don't seem well at all. Better start eating more healthy food as you look quite pale and weak. If you don't mark my words, I will take vengeance." She remarked. 

"I will. I'm hoping to meet you in the next few days again." I said widely smiling at her. 

And thus began our friendship...

Eula and I would meet up often at the starfell lake and she would dance around showing me various new dance steps or talk about her new experiences as a knight at the Favonius. It felt heavenly that I got such a great friend such as Eula.

My first and best friend, she was everything to me. With time did she get busy and it was starting to get much harder to meet up with her and my health kept deteriorating. So did my feelings for her change over the seasons. It became more than just being friends.

Two years had already passed. Eula had become the captain of the Reconnaissance squad earning the title of the 'Spindrift Knight'. A winter ball was always conducted for the active knights and great supporters of Mondstadt to which my family was always invited and when finally I was eligible to participate, I got sick once more. 

A few days back I had promised to dance along with Eula at the ball but now...it felt like the reality had shattered over my dreams. I stared at the ceiling of my wall hopelessly. It was very cold outside and I had a warm towel over my head. A maid entered my room coming to change the towel.

"M'lady...about your dress...shall I pack it up?.." The maid asked in a quiet voice. I gave her a glance. "Yes please...I don't think I can make it..." I sighed. My heart kept only aching that I couldn't fulfill the promise I had with Eula.

The evening soon broke out. People already began assembling at the Headquarters for the ball and all the knights were dressed to perfection. Eula kept looking out for Y/n but she didn't seem to have arrived yet. She was slightly worried if you would make it as you were not seen out for a while now..

The celebrations to begin the winter began, Eula tried her best to stay within the party but when she couldn't tolerate it anymore, she walked out and sat on the base of the fountain, playing with the water.

She kept staring at her reflection and saw Y/n appear in the reflection with her wide smile. Eula was taken aback for a moment as she shake her head sideways thinking that she was hallucinating. 

"What on teyvat....hah...goodness I've also begun hallucinating you when I'm completely conscious...what happened to you..." She mumbled talking to the reflection.

"Eula...I'm right here for you. I got sick due to the weather...I'm afraid I couldn't make a official appearance today for you." 

Eula chuckled. "I know Y/n you are there...I know you are right in front of me but why does one feel like you're really not there...." 

Y/n scoffed and walked towards Eula and tapped on her shoulders, gaining her attention. When Eula turned around, Y/n cupped Eula's face in her hands. 

"Eula. I'm right here for you. You aren't hallucinating. Hmm you don't seem drunk too...a-are you okay?" Y/n asked. 

Eula's eyes were widened as she sighed and held Y/n's hand, pulling her close for a hug. Y/n was slightly surprised by how Eula was behaving as she was really one of manners and wouldn't do anything without consent.

"Please Y/n...let me just hug you for a while.." 

After a moment of silence, she let me go. She had a slight frown on her face.

"Is it true that you've become ill more now?" She slowly asked. I couldn't help but look away trying to dodge the question.

"So it is true...please take your leave. I wouldn't want you to stay here in this sick weather." She got up grasping my hands onto her's, leading the way towards the exit.

POV SWITCH : 3RD POV

"Eula hold on. Why do you think I'm sick? Do you really think I'd be standing here right before you if I'm that sick?" 

She only looked with sadness into Y/n's eyes. "I..."

"I don't want to see you sick anymore...I don't want to remain alone...You're my only companion by side.." Eula slowly muttered leaving Y/n shocked. She didn't know how to feel right now after realizing the feeling was mutual.

"Eula..I came here because, I care for you. I don't want you to be alone. Please don't push me away like this." 

"Y/n...please listen. You need to rest. I cannot let anything happen to you.."

A sudden melody of music can be heard. It seems that the dance had begun. Both of them turned their heads towards the direction of the music. Y/n held Eula's hands and smiled, asking; "Shall we dance then?" 

Eula hesitantly obliged to Y/n's request. "Do promise me that if you feel sick..you'll let me know." Y/n nodded in approval.

She held Eula's hands and began moving accordingly. Both of them slowly and gracefully danced their movements, perfectly synchronizing with each other's moves. Eula's heart kept skipping a beat as she saw Y/n dance happily alongside her. 

Her features were perfectly highlighted by the moonlight and the fountain behind them. all seemed like a fairytale to Eula right now. How the biggest crush of her life came all the way just for her. 

Once the music was over, Y/n was very happy almost as if all her sickness went away. 

"You know Eula...I wasn't supposed to be here but...I couldn't let my sickness take the best of me either...After all didn't I promise to be your dance partner, Knight Eula?" 

"What..sort of joke is this. Did you really runaway from your house just to come here?!" Eula questioned.

"Of course. The doctor said that my condition was really bad hence I shouldn't attend the Winter Ball but when I stayed in my bed, guilty, Something urged me to go and stand near the windows. That's when I thought running towards you perhaps might help me with my sickness...Hehe, and it did help! I was burning up with fever a few minutes ago before I met you!" Y/n laughed childishly.  

Eula chuckled. "Goodness, how could you. I swear if you get sick again, mark my words I will take vengeance!"

"Of course, I will make sure to run to your arms when I feel sick again! You are like my medicine and cure. Seeing you makes me happy and feel better every time."

There was a long silence in the atmosphere. The music in the halls had gotten over. Y/n still stood close to Eula with her hands intertwined to Eula's. Both of them looked at each other, until Y/n managed to open up finally.

"...I really like you Eula...more than just being a friend."

Eula's face completely turned red and flustered. She dare not to break her eye contact.

"Y/n. I, Eula Lawrence, wishes to take the oath of a Knight." Eula said bluntly as she got down on one of her knees, holding Y/n's hands. Y/n was surprised.

"I, Eula Lawrence. The Knight of Favonius, will promise to Y/n L/n, to forever serve you as my lady and lover. My loyalty for you shall be never-ending.  Lady Y/n, will you accept my oath?" She asked slightly smiling. Her eyes were also tearing up.

"Yes, I do accept your oath my knight." Y/n replied back as tears slowly rolled down her cheeks. Eula kissed Y/n's hand and got up pulling her to a close hug.

"Then I await our next dance in the never ending moments, Y/n." Eula said as she pulled Y/n closer.

A/n: goodness this was super long and I hope I've written this properly......Let me know your thoughts on it! It's my first time writing a Female Character x Female Reader!!
