UA is known as the best Aquarium and rehabilitation center in Japan. They take care of all species of the ocean even mermaids are top on their list! For mermaids and other aquatic life, the team of UA wants to release their animals as much as possible so they don't take away from the ocean but if an animal has some form of injury or birth defects that could cause further harm to its life they will keep it in captivity and show the world how amazing each creature is.

(while reading other fanfiction It inspired me to add some ideas to this story!)

Todoroki pov)
Hello, I'm Todoroki Shoto I work at UA aquarium rehabilitation center. My job is to work with the mermaids sometimes I work with other aquatic animals but I am assigned to work with mermaids, this morning I was notified that there was gonna be a briefing on the new shipment of animals. So now I am driving on my way to the aquarium.

I was on my way to the meeting room and I was surprised to see that I was the first one there, I took my seat and waited for the others to show up.
I heard footsteps and the door handle twisted showing signs that a person was going to walk in. " oh hey Todoroki!" A bubbly spiked redhead came in
"Hello Kirishima, how are you?"
He smiled with his sharp teeth "pretty good so far I can't wait to find out what animals we will get to work with!"
Kirishima smiled and he rubbed the back of his head "that's right you haven't had an animal or mermaid officially assigned to you yet" Kirishima nodded " yeah I'm pretty excited" Kirishima pulled out a chair next to me and as we sat in silence more people started to pour in
The last person to come of course was Aizawa our boss the big boss is Nezu he controls the whole aquarium the second is almight he helps Nezu but also will help Aizawa with the aquarium. " glad to see everyone is here and on time, alright so we were notified that we will be receiving two new mermaids and a few sharks and turtles. Kirishima you will be assigned to your first mermaid of your choosing out of the two since Todoroki already received and released his mermaid" "sweet I finally get a mermaid!!" Kirishima was jumping with joy. "I'm not finished yet.." Aizawa said annoyed "sorry" Kirishima mumbled "as I was saying you get the first pick, todoroki you will get the mermaid Kirishima does not pick of course the rest of you will be assigned to work with your mermaids and the sharks along with the turtles. Any questions?" Kirishima raised his hand "when will we receive the mermaids?" "I'm glad you asked they will be coming in the afternoon, so I want you and Todoroki to go get a start on setting up their tank you will receive information on the mermaid's territory and will be given all materials to set up the tank" everyone nodded and left. How interesting I hope I get an easy mer.

Kirishima pov)
I can't believe I am finally getting my mermaid! I'm so excited! I received a paper listing what the mermaid likes. Okay, so they like seaweed, coral, sand, and cave. Okay sounds easy. I already finished setting up the tank, I looked at the time at 11:54 am looks like I should head to the loading dock, as I was walking Todoroki met up with me halfway "excited?" I asked he nodded. Just when we got there the large box was already unloaded.

Bakugo pov)

I was minding my own business in our stupid filthy tank when a bunch of humans ran into the aquarium they had weird tools in their hands that I recognized. They caught us with the same tools!? Shit! I swam to the cave and hid un denounce to me Deku was in here when he had his cave! "Deku what are you doing in my territory!? You wanna die!?" I growled he backed away "n-no it's not like that Kachan I was just trying t-" I covered his mouth and slammed him against the cave "shh!" I hushed I could hear humans on the top of our platform to the tank.

Before we were brought to this place a few weeks ago I and the nerd were free and living in the ocean but fucking poachers caught Deku and I ended up getting tangled and injured because I was trying to rescue him. We ended up both getting caught and injured and were brought here they barely feed us and our tank is small they also never clean this place so I only assume we could be sick.

Deku started to shake I felt 4 different surface disturbances "fuck! Okay, Deku I'm gonna distract them, and while I do you hide under the sand got it!?" He nodded because of the poor hearing I had to rely on vibrations. I swam out hissing and growling "first mermaid found! Secure him carefully and load him up we need to find the second one" one human made a vibration the must mean it was talking I could barely hear the humans. I bolted to the first human I saw wrapping my tail around him and squeezing him in hopes to kill him, the humans panicked in place "I was keeping my focus on the one I was holding and the few In Front of me when they would try to swim out of my view I would quickly turn my head keeping them in view. I felt another vibration and after it was a larger vibration I looked up and two more humans were coming down "shit" I snapped the guy I was holding neck and bolted to another human when I was about to reach the human, the human dashed away "HOW!? You don't have a tail to swim that fast!?" Was all I thought my attention was now on the speedy one when I felt a weird thing on my neck I looked down "you're gonna die!" I pulled the human holding the tool around with all my speed causing the wire tool to cut into my neck "I'll injure myself if it keeps me from being captured again" I sideswiped my tail slapping the human into the tank now all the humans were coming after me with the stupid rope! I kept swimming fast and attacking the humans when one got a rope on my wrist and pulled me I hissed and slammed my body against them. I'm getting tired now and I'm slowing I think the humans started to notice. I turned my view to the cave 'Deku I swear if you get caught after all I did I will personally kill you myself!' I was startled when I felt a net wrap around me I sunk to the sandy floor trying to wriggle out of the net but I only got more stuck. The human started to pull me up to the surface 'fuck!' I was pulled out and I was thumping and slamming my tail I felt a sudden sting to my arm and saw the human put something in me the next thing I know Is darkness.

Deku pov)

Bakugo told me to hide under the sand so I did I watched as Bakugo was fighting the humans. After maybe a half-hour Bakugo was getting tired I could tell he turned his attention toward me and was hit with a net and pulled to the surface. A human got closer to me I hissed and startled the human but he only reached his hand out to me I looked at it the human was smiling maybe they are friendly? I popped my head out and more humans came but they didn't attack me "we are the UA aquarium we will keep you safe" oh? So they are friendly!? They grabbed my hand gently and I followed them up once I reached the surface I saw kacchan his eyes were closed and he wasn't moving "kacchan!?" I hissed again "he alright just sleeping he is not dead!" I glared but followed they lifted me into a tank that was clean and had food and they lifted Bakugo into the same tank the human said they were gonna take us to the new place now and closed us off it was dark but I was able to see clearly.
That's when we started to move

Kirishima pov)

They finally took the planks of wood off and the crate reviled two merman one was a beautiful orange with different colors almost like an explosion! And the other mer was green with different gradients.

They unloaded the mermaids and placed them both into a single tank big enough but shallow for us humans to be able to grab them.

The orange one was sleeping peacefully
After about 2 hours the orange one started to wake up the green one stayed next to the orange one the whole time

Bakugo pov)

I felt tired when I open my eyes I was in a different place I bolted up and saw Deku "...did we get caught?" I growled he nodded " I told you not to let that happen stupid!!!" I yelled grabbing Deku's throat shaking him I felt vibrations "stop it you two!" I was able to make out what the redhead said I lunged at him he grabbed my face I pulled away and bite down on his arm "ow! Todoroki bit my arm! get the first aid and some tranquilizers!!" The other shook their head and ran off. Probably to retrieve more human scum! I bite down harder and the redhead didn't hit me back he glared and pushed me away I hissed him as a warning

Deku swam up to the redhead "I glared and watched"

Kirishima pov)

When I was watching over the orange mer he suddenly bolted up out of sleep and talked to the green mer next thing we know the orange mer is trying to kill the green one "stop that you two!" I ran into the shallow tank and got to my chest deep when the orange one bolted at me I grabbed his face and he bit my arm! "Todoroki he bit me! Go get the first aid and the tranquilizers!!"
The mer glared but released me probably as a warning sign then the green mer swam up to me "I'm so sorry kacchan can be aggressive like that! " "it's alright! Not his fault..." the green one turn back to the orange met and glared but when the orange one growled the green one backed off "here Kirishima!" todoroki came back with a few of our friends "how are we going to do this?" "well, I was thinking if you grab and lift him out we can. Secure him get then shot into him and poof he calms" they nodded the orange mer kept his eyes focused on me and would watch the others the green one swam over to the orange one probably distracting him. They counted to three and rushed in grabbing the mer "strange when their hand enters the water he reacted not to the loud sound?" I noted in my head we're able to get the shot into his arm with the relaxant after a few seconds the mer arm stopped tensing and they eased him into the tank again the

"Hey todoroki I decided I want the orange one"
