Chapter 1: Part 4
When Merlin was out of the stocks, he had a different variety of vegetables in his hair. I would say that a cabbage soup was in his hair. I thought it was only supposed to be rotton fruits and vegetables, but you can just say that I was wrong. Merlin entered the room with a frown on his face and sat down at the table.
"Would you like some vegetables with that?" Gaius asks breaking the moment of silence that we had.
I just shook my head and Gaius just looked at me with his eyebrow raised.
"And I know you said something to Arthur Madeline, you're not off the hook."
"He deserved it."
"So?"
I quietly looked at my soup sitting in front me, carefully rearranging my words that it didn't sound like I was threating Arthur but I was just telling Gaius that Arthur needed to be taught a lesson.
"I'm waiting."
I sigh, staring off into space and then say,
"I don't care who Arthur is, he's just being a prat that doesn't deserve anything. If he's going to be the next king of Camelot, then he better earn his title. His lessons are unworthy, unright, and unjust." I eyes narrow as I continued, "give me a sword anyday and I'll kick his royal arse."
"Madeline!"
I finally look up a Giaus with both Merlin and him looking like fish at me. I shrugged my shoulders and cross my arms against my chest.
"You mothers both have told me to look after you. What do they say about your gifts?"
"That I'm special." We both said at the same time.
"You are special. The likes I have never seen before."
"What do you mean?" We said in sync again.
"Well, magic requires incantations, spells. What I've seen you two do was elemental, instinictive."
"What's the point if it can't be used." Merlin asks as I stare at Gaius.
"I don't know. You two are the question that's never been answered before."
"Did you ever study magic before?" I ask
"Uther banned such work twenty years ago."
"Why?" Merlin and I say together again.
"People used magic for the wrong end at that time. It threw natural order in to chaos. Uther made it his mission to destroy everything from back then, even the dragons."
"What?! All of them?" I ask in enstonishment.
"There was one dragon he chose not to kill, kept it as an example. He imprisoned it in a cave deep below the castle where no one can free it. Now, eat up. When you have finished Maddy, I need you to take a preparation to lady Helen. She needs it for her voice."
"Why me?" I whined as I put my head on the table.
"Because I don't think she would take liking if she found a boy in her chambers."
I sighed "Fine but if you see me in a fight with Arther it's your fault." I gave a quick smirk, got up grab the prepartion, and headed out the door.

I entered lady Helen's chambers and found some things that I wish I didn't. I went quickly to her desk and saw a magic book, what looked to be a vodo doll of some sort, and other magical items. I heard the clip clop of her heals and I put some papers over the items that I saw. I turned around to see her.
"What are you doing in here?"
"I was sent to deliver this."
I quickly handed her the preparation and headed out the door. I soon as I walked out the door I decided to head into town, since my other time was ruined by the almost prince Arthur. I walked out the castle and looked around. Okay no signs of him so far, so good. I smiled as I walked through the town but my smile was cut short as I saw him. I quickly turned around and headed in the other direction, hoping and praying that he didn't see me.
"So, Are you hear to give me another lecture?"
Oh no.
