Arthur POV

All i could hear was a dull pounding at the back of my head. It was there of constant and showed no signs of fading.

"I think he has concussion." i hear a voice mutter in the distance but i couldn't match a face to the words.

"Should we tell him?" another voice pipes in. Tell me what? I think to myself.

"It's only fair." "Do you think he's worked out what happened? It's been over two days." "He must have." All these voices swirl and dance in my mind but their origins are still unknown. I shut out from the rest of the world again.

This time when i open my eyes i can see faces and the rest of the world - My world which seems to be a filthy cell.

"Glad to see you're awake, princess." sighs Gwaine who's face is grimy and full of cuts and scrapes but the drastic change in weight loss surprised me the most. I look around startled to see Leon, Elyan, Percival, Mordred and Gaius in the same predicament.

"Good to see you all." i croak. I look around to see Lancelot propped against a wall with a makeshift bandage covering his shoulder.

"Arthur." he smiles weakly but he looks incredibly pale.

"How long was i out for?" i ask curiously

"2 and a half days." exhales Leon. That long!

"I remember Morgana throwing me back but it's hazy after that." I recall

"Morgana and several druids enchanted the city to sleep. It was only temporary, thank God, but the entirety of Camelot is under Morgana's rule." explained Elyan

"Speak of the devil." mutters Gwaine.

"Dear brother. You're finally awake." sneers Morgana from the other side of the bars.

"You coward! You should have fought valiantly! Not with cheats magic." i spit, anger seething through me.

"Talking of cowards: where's your shadow Merlin? I don't think I've ever seen him away from your side." taunts Morgana

"Don't speak of him like that." i threaten

"What are you going to do, dear brother?" Asks Morgana whose smile was enough to chill a soul. My clamped my hand into a fist, knuckles turning white.

"I wanted to have a conversation with him as i haven't had a proper one with him since i struck a snake into his neck. Of course, there was that time recently but he was unconscious before i pushed him off the overhang. He's loyalty still ceased to amaze me." When did this happen? Why didn't Merlin tell me?

"Of course then he turned into a wolf and revealed his magic and everything changed." Recounted Morgana. My blood boiling and i stood up and lunged for her but i was still unsteady on my feet and collapsed back to the floor.

"The mighty King of Camelot not so mighty anymore." cackles Morgana and glides away from the cell and leaves me to recover from my anger.

"I think we should explain ourselves." murmurs Lancelot who picks up the strength to shuffle forwards. I watch his face crumple with pain but he sends a brisk smile that Lancelot always manages to hold on to  even the darkest of times. Lancelot looks around to the other knights and they all nod - faces solemn and guilt ridden. 

"We know you've had a lot to take in recently with... all the events which have come to pass. Which is why," Lancelot says and i see the knights murmur in agreement," we should tell you the full truth. Right now, we need each other more than ever and that means that we should take this as an opportunity of acceptance and, hopefully, understanding."

I feel myself nodding and i'm starting to expect what's about to happen. 

"We should start of lightly." jokes Gwaine and i gulp slightly being fully acquainted with Gwaine's sense of humour.

"Well.... we're wolves." says Lancelot without adding another word. I can feel my face changing to shock but i don't think it was one of disgust. They were all silent and they were all allowing the news to sink in. Percival looked like he was bracing himself for a verbal attack and Leon looked like he had bathed in guilt. 

"W-w..." i stuttered not quite managing to get the words i wanted out. 

"Why didn't you do anything? - About Merlin?" i asked

"Merlin is a lot more powerful than us, even though he's only recently been aware of his wolf. He didn't want us to endanger ourselves by revealing our secret to- to you. He was scared, Arthur.He was at a beta stage in the pack and he was only been with us for a couple of months." Explains Lancelot. I raise my eyebrows in amazement and confusion

"A beta is a wolf who is basically in second command and looks out for everyone in the pack." says Percival.

I nod slowly but i can't help but hide the surprise on my face

"Merlin was one of the wisest people I've ever known yet he still chose to be constantly overshadowed so that he could look out for you." sighed Gwaine

"There's more we need to tell you." winces Leon

"Merlin's not.... he's not-" stutters Leon

"He's not dead." says a voice. We look round startled to see Merlin standing at the cell door with a weary smile plastered on his face

"Wh- how wh-" i gasp

"No time, we need to start moving." urges Merlin

"Tospringe." mutters Merlin and the door is pulled clean of its hinges.

I had a lot of questions.

Howdy my friends! Sorry this chapter was a little shorter than usual. I've changed my chaptering a little meaning the next chapter should be longer and this chapter wouldn't be as dialogue - y. Wow my English is great today XD

What about this weather‽ (I'm talking about the long heatwave we're having here in England

It was 34 degrees on Thursday! I don't even think it's ever been that hot in England in the 14 years I've been on this planet. 

It was sports day at my school today and it was really fun! I came second out of about 10 with a throw of 12 M 91 which meant i was about 10 cm off winning but i'm very happy with second. My throat hurts a lot because i was cheering so much XD

Enough about my week, how have all you been this week? I hope you've had a good week :)
