Merlin POV

I wasn't out for long but i was already feeling the effects of my rendezvous with the wall. What confused me the most was that i was alive.... in a cell.... with Arthur. I look at him briefly and he doesn't seem angry; he just seems confused. That was better than i expected. I smile lightly to myself processing the situation we had found ourselves in, and for me, again. 

I shuffle over to Gaius

"My dear boy." smiles Gaius weakly

"It's good to see you." i return. A small weight feels like it has been lifted off my shoulders knowing that the man who i see as more of a father than guardian, is safe. 

"How long have you been here?" i ask, wondering if he's had any food

"2 and a half days." Gaius replies, exhaling deeply, "the knights have been giving me most of their food." 

"It's the least we could do." smiles Percival who is also looks like the 2 and a half days are wearing down on him. Gwen is still unconscious next to Arthur but i think she was beginning to stir. 

I lock eyes with Arthur and he stand up, i'm following close behind. 

"You should be dead." he whispers, a vacant expression smothering his face

"You should be happy i'm not." i reply quickly, keeping a vigilant face

"What makes you think that?" he replies calmly

The knights and Gaius are looking wary, ready to step in at any moment. 

"Clotpole." i say

"Dollophead." he returns and we walk over and hug eachother

"It's good to see you Merlin, it really is." he smiles and i feel the knights sigh in relief. 

"I'm so sorry, Arthur, for everything i put you through." i babble

"I'm sorry for everything i put you through." admits Arthur, "when i thought you were dead- thanks again knights."

They smile sheepishly at Arthur "You're welcome." grins Gwaine

"When i thought you were dead i realised how stupid i had been and that you've always stood by my side and i should have never thrown you aside. You've saved me countless times and i've never got to thank you so..... thanks Merlin." _______Arthur

"Thanks, Arthur. We're you complimenting me? Did everyone hear that?" i say jokingly bewildered

"Don't flatter yourself, Merlin. You're a dollophead most of the time." laughs Arthur. 

"Wasn't that beautiful." smiles Lancelot. I look at him and smile but i noticed his shoulder in a makeshift bandage with red seeping through the fabric

"Lancelot!" i say worried

"It's fine." he whispers but i know what Lancelot really means is that the pain is unimaginable. I walk over to him and slump down next to him. 

"Stay still." i instruct

"No, Merlin, it's not worth it." he begs

"Wel cene hole" I whisper and i can already see the colour slowly draining back into Lancelot's face. 

"You shouldn't have." mutters Lancelot before he shuts his eyes and falls asleep on my shoulder. He's asleep for a long time but i don't have the heart to move him so i just stay there. It's nice to have everyone back, despite the circumstances, i already feel slightly safer in a pack not as a temporary omega. 

All we do now is wait. Little did i know that waiting was better than what was ahead.

Hey, this was a short update but two update in the space of two days! You lucky people. I don't know why i decided to call this chapter Bring me back to life. I blame evanesence. Right now i have a real craving to watch The Sorcerers Apprentice (btw great film.)

Wow it's raining again! 

Also, i can't believe it because my poem is going to be published! I really can't believe it. Unfortunately i have to wait till after October to see it in print but i'm sure it will be worth the wait.
