Authors note: Elsa's in her ice queen dress! I just didn't want to have to describe it since it's such a famous dress lol.

"Almost done." Anna said fixing the finishing touches on Elsa's braid.

Anna was so excited that her sister and Merida were coming with them to prom. Especially when Hiccup and Jack are their dates. They finally had a whole group where both her friends and her sister were included.

Her sister had always been shy well except around her. Yes she had her the comments about her being the ice queen but Anna knew better that her sister was a warm loving person....it just took time for her to warm up to people.

"Oh I forgot the necklace let me go get it." Anna said,

Anna left the room to go find Elsa's blue sapphire necklace.

Elsa saw that Merida was still struggling with her hair. It looked like she couldn't decide whether to leave it up or down.

"You need some help?" Elsa questioned.

"That would be nice yes." Merida said handing Elsa the brush.

"Can you believe we're actually going to prom?" Merida said while Elsa began brushing Merida's hair.

"Not really, I'm still surprised Anna got you in an evening dress."

Merida had always hated dress shopping. So instead of dress shopping Anna genuinely offered one of her dresses. Merida ended up picking a dark blue over the shoulder dress that reached the floor. It had been Anna's homecoming dress. She wouldn't tell anyone not even Elsa, but she actually really liked the dress.

"Well your sister was persistent" Merida said. "I still can't believe you're going with Frost."

"Like my sister he was persistent."

"Oh just admit you like him a little." Merida smirked.

"It doesn't matter we're graduating high school in a month. It's better for him not to become attached"

"For him? Or for you?"

Elsa gave her a look.

"What about you and Hiccup hmmm? What's going on there."

Merida laughed "Nothing he just asked me out to prom because Jack was taking you."

"I don't think so....I think he likes you."

"Please, he probably just couldn't find anyone else. "

"Why is it so hard for you to imagine a guy asking you out."

"Because no one wants to date the Fire queen who blows up when anyone comes near."

"Hey that's not true I like you...Anna likes you and I think Hiccup likes you too. Or at least he'll have to now."

"Why's that?"

"Well take a look." Elsa said.

Merida's hair was in an elegant updo with her baby curls framing her face. Her eyes wore eyeliner and mascara making her blue eyes pop.

"Thanks Elsa." Merida smiled at her friend.

"Look what I found!" Anna said coming back into the room holding the sapphire necklace.

"Wow you two look gorgeous!" She said.

"Thank you Anna. You look beautiful as always." Elsa said to her sister taking the necklace.

"Really!!! I wasn't sure about this color but Kristoff said he liked it on me." Anna said spinning around in her floor length strapless magenta colored dress.

"It does look very pretty on you." Merida said.

"Aw thanks and wait till Hiccup sees you Mer! Oh I am so excited!!!" Anna cheered,

The doorbell rang.

"OOOOOH the gang's all here!!!" Anna yelled. "I'll get it!"

Anna rushed and opened the door. Coraline and Norman came in. Coralline wearing a dark blue poofy knee length dress with moons and stars on it. While Norman was wearing a black suit with a matching moon and stars neck tie,

"Oh you two look adorable!" Anna squealed.

"Hey coming through!" Aster said. Wearing a grey suit and a purple tie.

"Hey junior! Where's our man Kristoff!? Shouldn't be leaving his lively lady waiting." Aster said.

"He's coming with the limo. Speaking if lovely ladies' where's Thiana?"

"I'm right here! This big guy is always blocking my view!" Thiana said poking out from behind her boyfriend Aster.

"Oh my god Thia!! You look amazing I love how your hair matches your dress."

"Thanks!" Thiana said fixing her blue green and purple multi colored mermaid style dress.

"Where's the two bachelors of the night?" Coralline joked.

"Actually we are not bachelor's tonight." Hiccup said coming through the door.

"Yeah we actually have dates. Sorry to upset you ladies." Jack said.

"Where is Elsa and Merida? Guys come on!!!! Everyone's here!!!"

"We're coming!" Merida yelled back "I just can't walk in heels so I'm changing into those ballet thingies."

"They're called flats Merida! Now come on and hurry up!" Anna yelled.

"Jeez we're here calm down." Merida said.

Both boys looked at their dates with admiration and curiosity.

"Wow....you uh you both look uhm...." Hiccup stammered.

"Amazing." Jack finished.

"Keep your mouthes closed boys I don't want you getting drool all over my parents floor." Anna said.

*honk honk*

"That's Kristoff!!!! Let's go people!" Anna said.

Jack hooked arms with Elsa "my lady." Jack said. Elsa laughed "why thank you."

"You really do look amazing Mer." Hiccup said standing next to Merida.

"Thanks you look great yourself with you and Jack matching in tuxedos ." She said.

Anna and Elsa's parents took all the groups pictures outside where the limo was. Until Anna begged them to leave so they could go to the dance.

The dance was at a fancy hotel. It was starry night themed. With blues and white colored balloons everywhere. They had a dj and a huge dance floor.

"Wow this is great! Let's dance!" Anna said dragging Kristoff onto the dance floor.

Hiccup,Merida, Jack, and Elsa left to go get some punch.

They quickly got punch and watched as people mingled and danced.

Hiccup took a sip of his punch and scrunched up his face.

"Blech well someone's went ahead and spiked the punch already." He said

"On that note!" Jack laughed as he pounded Hiccup's back with his hand, "would you care to dance?" He said to Elsa.

"Oh well I don't dance....."

"Well neither do I so this should be an interesting experience for both of us." He said pulling her lightly towards the dance floor.

Hiccup turned to Merida. "Did you wanna dance?" he asked her politely.

She smiled and took his hand and followed him out to the dance floor. He seemed a little nervous as she put her arms around his neck and he put his around her waist. He started to float with the music and avoided stepping on her toes. He smiled at how beautiful she looked,

"I can't believe you got me to dance out there." Elsa laughed as Jack and her sat at a table.

"What?! You did great! You said you couldn't dance!" He commented.

"Because I can't! I have two left feet."

"Well what a coincidence I have two right feet so we're a perfect match." He said.

She smiled. "A very mismatched match."

"But still a match." He said holding her hand.

"So why me?" Merida asked while still dancing with Hiccup.

"Why you what?" He asked.

"Why did you ask me to prom?"

"Because I like being around you." He said.

"Really?" She asked.

"Really. Hell I wasn't even going to go to the prom."

"Why not?"

"Because there was no one worth asking until I got to know you." He said.

"That's not true, you probably just asked me because Elsa was going with Jack." She said.

"Well that was Jack's plan he wanted to go with Elsa but I didn't feel like going with anyone but as I got to know you I decided I liked you."

"You like me? The girl who is known for blowing up at people,"

"Yup. No use denying it now. You'll just have to live with the fact that I asked you to be my date for prom because I really like you." Hiccup said.

"I guess I can live with that." She said smiling.

They were dancing so long that neither even realized the time. The dance was finally coming to a halt soon.
Both the king and queen were about to be announced.

Everyone gathered around to hear who was going to be senior prom king and queen.

"Alright and this years prom king and queen is Flynn Rider and Rapunzel Corona!"

The crowd cheered as the prom king and queen went up for their crowns. Even Jack cheered for the couple. He wasn't jealous anymore of Flynn Rider.

Hiccup was definitely getting tired as was Merida, so Merida sat down with him at a table with Elsa and Jack.

"Hey how about we ditch this place and go to Ihop?" Jack asked them.

"Anna might be upset." Elsa said.

"Are you kidding me she's having the time of her life out there with Kristoff." Jack said.

"Sounds good to me." Hiccup said.

"How will we get there Kristoff's our ride?" Merida asked.

"We can take a taxi," Jack said.

"Alright let's go to Ihop then. I'll tell Anna so she doesn't freak out." Elsa said.

They all got in a taxi in their formal wear and drove it down to their local Ihop. They were the only people there since it was 11 o' clock.

The waitress took their orders.

"Never thought I would be at an Ihop at eleven pm in formal wear before." Elsa said.

"Well rookie meet the professionals Hiccup and I are the masters of formal late night pancake eating. We once had to go to Hiccup's cousin's party when we were thirteen and we snuck out half way through by biking how many miles was it?"

"4" Hiccup replied.

"Four miles just to get to an Ihop before they closed for the night." Jack said.

"Really?! Now that's just impressive." Merida joked.

"We got grounded for a week but it was so worth the pancakes." Hiccup said.

They talked all night about zany adventures and past memories until Merida's curfew was starting to come up.

"I better get Merida home guys. See you at school." Hiccup said as he called for a taxi.

"See you." Jack and Elsa said.

"Well Jackson Overland this was actually a really fun night....slash morning." Elsa said looking at her watch that read 12:15 am.

"I hate to be the guy who said I told you so but I told you so." Jack said.

"You did. I admit my defeat." She said.

"You know you're a really fun person to be around.....I wish I got to know you earlier." Jack said.

"Who me? No I'm not that fun...honestly I'm kind of boring Anna's the more fun one."

"I think you're very fun to be around and the last thing I would think of you being is boring," jack said.

"Really, all I do all day is study and ice skate."

"I wouldn't call that boring I would call that being exceptionally dedicated. And you're so much more than that. You're a beautiful and fun and just amazing."

"You know I'm leaving for college."

"As am I." Jack said scooting closer to her in the booth.

"And it would hurt much more if we started exploring feelings for each other now knowing we'll have to leave each other in a few months." Elsa rambled

"You're right that absolutely could happen." Jack said smiling.

"And long relationships usually don't last especially ones that just started." Elsa said looking into Jack's eyes.

"Anything else? Elsa?"

"No I'm I'm out of excuses." Elsa gave in.

"Good." Jack said putting his hand under her chin and kissing her softly.

Meanwhile....

"I had actually had a really fun time tonight Hiccup." Merida said in the taxi.

"So did I." Hiccup said.

There was a little bit of an awkward silence until Merida spoke up what was on her mind.

"Did you really mean what you said. That you liked me."

"Of course I did. Wouldn't of said it if I didn't mean it," Hiccup said.

Merida took a hold of his hand.

He looked down and smiled as his fingers wrapped around slender fingers.

"Hey so I was just thinking. If you wanted to I don't know hang out tomorrow like a date..... "

"I would love to." Merida said.

"Cool, cool, and uh I know uhm school's ending soon but hey we uh still have the summer and we could always stay in touch after that...I was just wondering if you wouldn't mind being......my girlfriend. If that's okay to ask since I know this is technically only our first date so uh you could say no if you don't want to...I mean."

"Hiccup you talk too much." Merida smiled and kissed him on the lips sweetly.

"So uh I'm going to take that as a yes?" Hiccup said.

"Great detective skills." She joked and kissed him again.
