Plot:Hiccup meets Merida at Hogwarts just before the sorting ceremony.

"Gods Hiccup get a grip." The young first year said to himself. still shaking on the boat.

Gods why did he do this? Why did he accept he knew he wouldn't be put in Gryffindor like his father had been. He could just see the look on his face when he heard his son didn't make it into Gryffindor.

"Oi, you're gonna topple the boat over with yer shakin if yer not careful." Said a Scottish redheaded girl next to him.

"Sorry." He said.

"What you so nervous about?" The girl asked.

"My dad was a Gryffindor and he's expecting me to be one but I know down deep inside its not going to happen."

"Well not with that attitude, Merida Dunbroch." She said putting out her hand.

"Hiccup, Hiccup Haddock." He said shaking her hand.

They walked together into the grand hall.

"Wow amazing." He said

"I know." She said.

They sat as some names were called. The first one turned out to be a Ravenclaw. The next a Hufflepuff.

"Merida Dunbroch!"

"That's me good luck." Shias her mischievous eyes matched her smile.

"No question, GRYFFINDOR!"

The Gryffindor table cheered as did her new friend Hiccup.

A couple others came up, one out stood the rest.

A boy with white hair and blue eyes named Jack Frost. Was sorted in Slytherin. He seemed nice enough though as e joined the Slytherin table.

"Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the third!"

Oh no that was him. He walked up slowly and sat down. The hat was careful placed on his head.

"Hmmm very smart, very loyal, but oh what's this you want to be sorted in a particular house that your father attended, well You are not like your father, but will amount to great things in your own way....RAVENCLAW!"

Hiccup sighed but his attitude completely changed when he saw how his table cried out with joy. His friend Merida clapping from the Gryffindor table and gave him a thumbs up.

He smiled as he joined the Ravenclaw table.

This was going to be a good year.

Authors note: omg I am so sorry I've been neglecting my Merida drabbles. But here is a new one and I was very excited to do Harry potter AU. Btw sorry for all the people who think hiccup should be in Hufflepuff. I see him more as a Ravenclaw or even a Gryffindor but I wanted to show how he was his own person so I made him Ravenclaw!
