WAQAS' POV
**H O U S T O N**
"Seriously Waqas, I was so excited you guys were coming, sara mood off Kar diya," Nosh said as she passed me a glass of orange juice and sat beside me.
"If I was alone then it was a different thing, Nosh," I sighed, "ab apni biwi Ko Le Kar yahan thori pada rahunga."
"Seedha seedha Bolo privacy chahiye," She smirked at me and I rolled my eyes. "Aisa Kuch Nahi hai. We had enough back in India."
"Really? Toh Kuch Hua?" Leaning closer, she asked me and I rolled my eyes again. "Kuch Nahi hua."
"Leh," she made a face at me and moved away, "I swear Tere bacche mere baccho ke baccho Se bhi chote honge."
"Shakal achi na ho Toh baatien hi achi kar liya Kar," I retorted instantly, "Aur har kisi ki gardi bacchon pe aa Kar hi Kyun atakti hai?"
She smiled. "Because my baby brother—"
"Stop calling me that!" I scowled at her comment, "your baby brother is old enough to—"
"To be called a Buddha!" She said before me and I huffed.
"Old enough to take that as an insult," I corrected her.
"Aww really? Waqas gussa ho Gaya?" She mocked me and raised her hand to pull my cheek but I pushed it away.
"Eeh stay away! Tujhse bachne Ke liye Shehry ke birthday ke baad New York jaa raha hoon main!" I huffed, sliding away from her, and she laughed, shaking her head at me.
I sighed, and took off my blazer before keeping my legs on the glass coffee table, "on a serious note, I am planning on bringing mom and dad here. Bhai Aur bhabhi Ko kaam Ki wajah Se travel karna parta hai, yahan kam Se kam main Nahi toh Roop Aur tum Sab toh hoge na."
"Roop Kyun hogi?" She frowned at me, "she will go with you, no?"
"Nope," I shook my head, "Roop wants to start a fashion label. For that she needs a boutique at least and that won't happen if she keeps travelling with me."
"But it's time you two focus on your relationship, Waqas. She can always open a boutique later on," Nosh frowned at me and I sighed.
"Then even I can stay back and pursue my dreams later on in life," I shrugged, "she has every right to make her dreams come true! I don't want to hold her back just because she is my wife and she should stick with me."
"Yeah but-"
"Even you work, Nosh," I spoke, cutting her off, "I want to support Roop like Khurram bhai supported you. He moved to Houston so you could expand your business. I don't want her to seek my permission. I want her to just go out there and reach for stars."
"Okay okay fine," she chuckled, raising her hands in the air, "Don't start lecturing me now. I get it."
"Badi samajhdaar ho gayi hai," I teasingly commented and she rolled her eyes at me.
"Now go call Roop. Main khana laga rahi hoon," She got off the couch and so did I.
"No, don't bother," I stopped her, "I have to go and show her the house so we will eat something on our way."
"Sounds good to me," She shrugged, picking up the empty glasses, "But be home by dinner time."
ROOP's POV
"I have missed you so much bhai," I smiled, hugging my brother after a long time. It was a good thing that Nosh and my brother were neighbours as I didn't have to wait to meet him.
"You didn't even bother calling me once, Badi aayi miss karne wali," he complained, making me chuckle.
"Miss Kar rahi Thi isiliye Toh chali aayi na!"
"Aur kab tak jaane Ka irada hai?" Bisma bhabhi asked and my smile dropped. She always makes me feel so unwanted.
"Bas milne aayi thi. Jaa rahi hoon," I told her and she huffed, nodding at me.
"Stop it Bisma, Abhi Toh aayi hai woh. Tum bhi na," Tariq bhai sighed.
"My daughter is coming back for vacations, I don't want anyone to occupy her room like last time," She picked up her magazine and walked out of the room.
I gulped, staring at her retrieving figure, and looked away.
"I am sorry Roop, Pata Nahi Usse... Anyway, forget about her," bhai smiled at me and led me to the living room, "tell me how's life been? Raaniya Se mil Kar aa rahi ho Toh Zaidan Se bhi mili hogi?"
"Mili thi! And I clicked his photos too," I grinned at him and pulled out my phone, "bohot chota sa hai woh, bhai. At times I wanted to pull his cheeks but then I was scared I might hurt him. Cutest baby, I swear!"
"Ab Toh lagta hai itne saalo baad Pakistan ka chakkar lagana hi parega," he smiled, looking at the pictures. Not so surprisingly, there were mostly Waqas' pics.
I just couldn't get over how adorable he looks around babies.
"You should!" I told bhai, "mama baba miss you bhai. It's been so long since you visited home. Sat with them and just talked."
"Haan fir Bas waha jaa Ke waheen Ke ho Kar Reh jaana. Kaam par Toh jaise main jaaungi na yahaan," bhabhi interrupted our conversation again as she came back to the living room, "koi zaroorat Nahi hai aise fizool kharch Ki. Waise bhi tumhaari ami Kuch kam sir pe charh Ke bethi hein?"
"Bhabhi!" I gasped at her words, "you haven't even met her in months. Woh yahan hai bhi naheen. Kam Se kam unhein toh baksh dein."
"Yahan Nahi hai par phir bhi Pakistan bethe bethe hamare paise khaa raheen hein," Bhabhi huffed, folding her arms, "itni mehnat se kamate hein aur bewakoofo ki tarhan unn par luta dete hein. Ek toh karodon Ka ghar hai jo tumhaari behen chorne Ko—"
"Bas!" Tariq bhai snapped at her, "I have told you many times, that house belongs to baba. He gets to decide what to do with it!"
"Haan toh unse kaho jiske saath rehte hein phir kharche bhi unse hi nikalwa lein ya phir ghar bechein Aur hamein iss zabardasti Ki zimmedaari Se azad karein," Bhabhi yelled at him, "Beti se paise nahi le sakte par beti ghar pe kabza jama kar beth sakti hai."
"Bisma just-" Bhai stopped and ran a hand through his hair, "Tumse toh baat karna hi bekar hai. Jisse apni khud Ke bacchon ki fikar Nahi hai, woh mere maa baap Ki kya izzat karegi? Tum jao yahan se, mood kharab na karo."
"Dekh lo," Bhabhi huffed, stepping towards me, "Pata nahi kaisi manhoos shakal hai, jab aati hai ghar main ladai kara deti hai."
I blinked at her venom coated words and gulped the sore lump in my throat. Why does she hate me so much?
"Pehle tum log kam the jo ab zabardasti pados mai rishtedaari bhi-"
"Tumhaara dimag kharab ho gaya hai. Bas kar jao ab!" Bhai yelled at her so loudly that I flinched back slightly. He never gets so mad at anyone.
"Bhai please, Meri wajah se aap dono-" I flinched back again when bhabhi threw the magazine on the coffee table, making a loud sound.
"yahi toh kaam hai tum behno ka. Ab achi ban jao aur mere husband ke kaan bharo," bhabhi taunted and turned away from us.
Ya Allah, main toh bas bhai Se milna chahti ti. Meri wajah Se yeh dono ek doosre Se lard bethe.
"N-nahi bhabhi," I stepped towards her but, she stepped away from me, stopping me from coming any closer, "main jaa rahi hoon. I am sorry."
"Roop, please-" bhai tried stopping me but I shook my head.
"Waqas has plans for today, bhai," I smiled at him, "Aaj busy hoon thora, baad main milne aati hoon."
Bhabhi muttered something behind me while bhai sighed as he pulled me in a hug.
"I am sorry for what she said, Roop," He whispered over my shoulder and I pulled away from him. "Kaise baatien kar rahe hein aap? Apno ki baat ka koi bura manta hai kya? I am fine."
I looked back at bhabhi and sighed. "Chalti hoon bhabhi. Sorry for disturbing you."
I was about to leave when her voice stopped me, "Zara apni ami se bhi kaho umar ho gayi hai unki; unhein bhi ab chalna hi chahiye."
My breath hitched in my throat upon hearing her words. I was so close to tearing up right now.
Covering my mouth to stop myself from whimpering, I ran outside. I ran until I was out in the open and away from their bickering; until I couldn't hear them but, just a voice screaming my name.
"Roop stop!" Someone yelled behind me right before a hand wrapped around my arm and forcefully turned me around, "Have you gone deaf? Kahaan-"
"Ahh," I whimpered, trying to free my arm, as tears blocked my vision.
"Tu ro kyun rahi hai?" The person asked as they loosened their grip around my arm and I stepped away from them.
Blinking my eyes rapidly, I looked up as my vision started to make sense, and sighed, seeing Waqas in front of me. I was about to look away when he cupped my face between his palms and slowly wiped the tears away.
"What happened?" He asked me, softly, as the frown in his forehead deepened, "Did someone- Bhabhi ne kuch kaha?"
"Nahi," I shook my head, "aise hi bas-"
"Don't even think about lying," He warned, cutting me off, "unki baatien pehle bhi sun chuka hoon main. Jaanta hoon woh kaisi insaan hai."
"I am just tired, I want to sleep," I managed to whisper as I tried walking past him, but he didn't let me move.
"Roop, look at me," He spoke, trying to make me look at him.
When I didn't, he heaved a frustrated sigh, and before I knew it, he wrapped his arms around me, pulling me closer. I closed my eyes, allowing the tears to shed, and sucked in a deep breath, as his hand gently stroked my hair. Keeping my eyes shut, I rested my head on his shoulder, allowing myself to calm down.
"Woh mama ke liye aise kyun bolti hein Waqas? Mama apni problems bhai se nahi kahengi toh phir kisse kahengi?" I asked him; my voice was hoarse because of the crying.
"Bhabhi ko nahi pata kitni badnaseeb hein woh. Aaj who aunty ke liye bura bolti hein, kal unke bacche bolenge," He said, while running his fingers through my hair, and I widened my eyes, stepping away.
"Par iss main bhai ka kya kasoor?" I asked him, frowning, "Woh toh mama se bohot pyaar karte hein toh phir unke bacche bhabhi jaise kyun?"
Waqas chuckled like I had cracked some joke, and my frown deepened. "Aap daant kyun phad rahe hein?"
"You are not made for this world Roop," He shook his head, "You are too innocent."
I just blinked at him, and he sighed. "I only meant to say that one day she will realise her mistakes; either very soon or when it is going to be too late to apologise."
I gulped the soreness in my throat and released a puff of air, running my hand through my hair. "I was so excited to meet them and she said—"
"Forget about what she said," Waqas spoke in between and I frowned at him again, "Unke kehne na kehne se kuch nahi hota. Unke liye aunty uncle bojh hein toh kya hua? Humaare liye toh naheen hein na. We will always be there for them."
I nodded at him and he smiled, keeping his hand on my cheek. "Ab rona band karegi ya mood theek karne ke liye kuch karna padega?"
"I am not crying," I snorted, making him chuckle. "Acha toh yeh mote mote aansu meri aankho ka dhokha the."
"Jee haan," I nodded and he chuckled again before holding my hand. "Mood toh theek karna parega. Chal kuch dikhana hai."
"Kya?" I asked but, he shook his head. "Surprise hai. Come let's go."
I silently followed as he led me to his car and opened the door for me. I sat inside and he closed the door before jogging over to his side. Resting my head on the head rest, I sighed and closed my eyes, feeling tired from the argument. I could feel Waqas' thumb drawing circles on the back of my hand as he drove, to somewhere I didn't know, and I chose to silently enjoy it while a smile lingered on my lips.
Suddenly the car halted, forcing me to open my eyes again. I frowned, seeing McDonalds in front of us as Waqas rolled down his window.
"Two large chicken combos and no ice in the soft drinks," Waqas placed the order without even asking me.
"Two large!" I mouthed, realising the quantity and he turned to look at me.
"Kum hai na?" He asked me and then turned to the black speaker again, "actually add another large fries to it."
"Yeh sab khaayega kaun?" I asked him as the lady on the speaker directed him to drive forward. Waqas turned to me again, "Hum."
I rolled my eyes at his reply.
Once we were in front of a mini window, a lady appeared from behind it and passed the eftpos machine to Waqas. Swiping his card, he punched in the pin number, while the lady packed our order.
"Have a great day, sir!" She smiled at Waqas as she passed him the brown paper bag and cardboard tray with two takeaway glasses on it.
Waqas responded with 'you too,' and kept the food between our seats before rolling up the window.
"I am not hungry," I spoke, looking down at the packet and he huffed.
"Shakal dekh apni, ro ro ke laal ho gayi hai aur phir bhi nakhre."
"Bhook ka rone se kya connection?" I whined, "Nahi lag rahi toh Nahi lag rahi."
"Fine, main bhi surprise bhool Gaya," he shrugged, making me gasp. "Waqas, that's not fair!"
He chuckled, opening the packet and pulled out a burger, "khana shuru karo, main tab tak surprise yaad karta hoon."
"No," I shook my head, folding my arms, and he shrugged. "Jaisi Teri marzi."
We sat there for a couple of minutes until I decided that he was stubborn as hell and gave up, snatching the burger from his hand. Waqas smiled at me as I opened the paper wrapping and scowled at him in return. Taking a bite, I looked at him again; he was staring at me like he was observing my moves.
"Dekh kya rahe ho? Ab Chalo," I demanded with my mouth full and a chuckle escaped his lips again. I must look like a joker right now.
"Oh kinna sohna tenu Rabb ne banayaaa, Dil kare dekhda rawaan...." He sang as he drove out of the parking lot and on to the main road, making me role my eyes again.
"Oh please, I am not pretty so stop singing."
He glanced at me, raising an eyebrow, "I wasn't talking about you."
He looked ahead again, "main toh Meri basanti Ki baat Kar raha tha."
"Basanti?" I asked, raising my eyebrows at the weird name.
"Meri car," he stated, "look at how beautiful it is!"
"Car hi toh hai," I commented on that while he ran his fingers along the sleek interior.
"Aye, don't insult her, okay?" He gasped, sparing a look at me, "She is my first love!"
"Lo, ek Aur number peeche," I muttered to myself, rolling my eyes at the road ahead of me. He snickered beside me, indicating that he heard me, and I almost face palmed myself.
Soon he raised his hand between us and I looked up, only to find a cup in his hand. He stretched it out, towards me, and I slowly took it.
"Finish up quickly, Nahi toh rasta thora thora bhool Gaya hoon mai."
"Kha rahi hoo na!" I screeched instantly, scowling at him.
"Pagal," he muttered but before I could counter back, the car stopped in front of a house.
"I am starving," he sighed and grabbed the paper back before getting out of the car.
"Aye hello, picnic spot Nahi hai yeh," I yelled after him as he walked up to the middle of the lawn and sat down on the grass, "aise hi kisi Ke ghar Ke—"
"Oh ho Yaar, aa jaa na!" He screamed, gesturing me to come over. I huffed as I walked over to him. "The owner is going to kick us out if they saw us!"
"Nope," he shrugged as he pulled out a pack of chips, "I don't think you hate me that much."
"What?" I frowned at his words as I looked back at the house. "Koi aa jaayega, Waqas. Chalo."
"Koi Nahi aayega, Roop! It's your house– your property so stop freaking out!"
"It's what?" I blurted, trying to absorb his words. He chuckled while I stood there confused. I probably heard it wrong.
"Nosh chose the house, I bought it," he shrugged and then stood up. Reaching in his pocket, he pulled out a key ring with three keys attached to it. I watched him, too stunned to move, as he held my hand, and dropped the keys on my palm.
"Hamara ghar hai Roop," he smiled at me warmly, and my hand shook as realisation hit me.
"You got to be kidding me!"
WAQAS' POV
"You got to be kidding me!" She gasped at me before looking at the house again.
"Hamara ghar?" she asked, finding it hard to digest the news. I smiled, seeing her surprised, and nodded at her. Without wasting a moment, she ran up to the main door and unlocked it while I gathered all the food and went after her.
As I entered the house, I found her standing in the middle of the lounge, staring at the plain white walls.
"Ruk Kyun gayi?" I asked her as I went towards her. She turned her head to look at me and a smile appeared on her lips. "Yeh such main hamaara ghar hai?"
"Haan, Roop. Yakeen Nahi hota toh papers dikhaun?" I asked her and she shook her head. Before I knew it, she threw her arms around my neck, pulling me in her, tightly.
"This is amazing Waqas!" She squealed over my shoulder, and I sighed in satisfaction. Chalo iss bahane muskuraayi toh sahi.
"As long as you are happy," I told her, with all honesty, and slightly pulled away to look into her eyes, "I'll get an interior designer arranged. Choose matching furniture, change the wall colours. Whatever you want to do. Go ahead with it."
"No," she shook her head, disagreeing, and turned around again, "iss ghar Ka har Kona main apne haathon Se sajaungi. Ek ek cheez."
A smile lingered on her lips, replacing the shimmering pain in her eyes. It was far gone.
"Jaisi Teri marzi hai Kar. It's all yours," I told her; it felt nice to see her smiling.
"Even if I want to change the bedroom carpet's colour to fuchsia pink?" She asked, batted her eyelids at me, grinning.
I blinked at her question, cursing the moment I said she could do anything. My mind began imagining that gross colour in my bedroom. Uggh! I wanted to puke but then I thought Mana kiya toh smile chali jaayegi na.
"Yeah sure," I shrugged.
"A heart shaped mirror, and purple butterflies on the wall. I always wanted them!" She added more to it.
"If... If that is what makes you happy," I replied with uncertainty. Aur kya karegi yeh iss ghar Ka?
"Don't worry," she ended up chuckling, "I won't torture you with those. I hate them as much as you do."
"You do?" I blurted, feeling relieved. Thank goodness.
"Come I'll show you the rooms," I offered and dragged to the biggest room in the house. "This is the master bedroom. Mom and dad Ke liye. It's downstairs so they won't have any problem too."
"And look at the view. I am sure they would enjoy having tea there every morning," Roop spoke as she walked over to the large glass door that led to a wooden deck.
"Yeah and it's connected to the room beside it," I told her and went to the room next to the master bedroom.
"Yeh Aunty uncle Ke liye," I told her as soon she came in, "perfect size and view."
"Mama baba Ke liye?" Roop asked behind me and I turned to look at her. "Kyun? Pasand Nahi Aaya? There is another room of similar size if—"
"It's amazing Waqas," She spoke, cutting me off, and blinked at me, "thanks."
"Aapna thanks apne paas rakh," I rolled my eyes at her and huffed, "woh mere kuch nahi lagte kya? Jab mom dad ke liye iss ghar main jagah hai toh aunty uncle ke liye kyun nahi?"
"Shoveyyy," She pouted, holding her ears, cutely staring at me, and I sighed, shaking my head. "Come I'll show you rest of the rooms."
After showing her the guest room, garage, bathrooms and kitchen, I led her upstairs, to the second lounge.
"Saara ghar tera, bas yeh deewar meri," I pointed at a large wall that had no windows on it, "I will get a shelf built here just for my DVD collection."
"Then we can paint this room cream and dark brown because dark brown shelf would look classy," Roop suggested and I smiled at her, impressed my her choice.
"Show me our room, I already know what I want on the wall!" She grinned at me and I led her to the biggest room on this floor.
"This is going to be our room," I told her as I opened the all the different doors in it, "a grand bathroom, walk in closet, attached dressing room and an amazing view from the balcony!"
"And a perfect wall for our wedding photo!" She added to the list, making me frown. She rolled her eyes and walked towards a wall. "Yahaan hoga hamara bed aur uske upar, ek bade se frame main humaari wedding pic. We will paint this wall peach to go perfectly with the photo."
"Sounds like a plan," I agreed with her, "But I get to choose a picture. I looked so grumpy in most of them. They are so embarrassing."
"Ab grumpy hein toh lagenge hi na," She retorted, earning a look from me. "You know backyard main swimming pool bhi hai. Zyada bakwas ke toh usmein phenk doonga."
"As if," She shook her head, rolling her eyes.
"Are you challenging me?" Raising an eyebrow, I stepped towards her and the smile on her lips disappeared as she stepped back.
"Don't even think about it," A small, shaky whisper left her mouth, making me smirk at her nervousness. "Ab toh soch liya."
"Waqas nahi!" She shrieked as I dived towards her, grabbing her by her waist and threw her over my shoulder.
"I was kidding. I swear, please put me down!" She pleaded, screaming over my shoulder, as I trudged downstairs with her, "We will fall, please!"
"No, I won't let you fall until we reach the-- aah shit!" I gasped as I missed the slightly raised entrance of the lounge and stumble forward, falling on top of her.
"Shit," I cursed again when she winced, throwing her head back. "My back, Waqas! I told you we will fall!"
Supporting myself on my palms, I slightly pulled away to look at her. "Its all your fault," I quickly retorted, "tere bhoj tale dabb ke marte marte bacha main."
"Excuse me!" She screeched, slapping my chest, "I told you we will fall. Aapke bas ki baat hi nahi thi. just admit it. All you can do is sit around all day and eat!"
"Oh hello, gol gappe jaise shakal aur baatien machis ki tilli jaisi," I huffed, narrowing her eyes at her, "I lost my balance because of you!"
"You called me gol gappa!" She gasped, hitting my chest again, "Hippopotamus kaheen ke!"
"Oye lady Badshah Khan, ab haddiyaan todegi kya?" I laughed at her, mockingly, as I tried to save myself from her without losing my balance.
"Bohot zubaan chalne lagi hai aaj kal!" She narrowed her eyes at me. Realising it might be her strongest punch, I grabbed both of her wrist just before she could hit me again and in the process, I lost my balance, falling right on top of her again.
A gasp escaped from her lips as I stopped only inches away from her face. I lowered my eyes and She rolled her lips between her teeth, maybe out of nervousness. I gulped at the closeness as a wave of heat washed over me. Her lips moved slightly before I heard her calling my name.
"W-waqas," She stuttered; her warm breath fanning my face. I blinked my eyes, forcing myself to stop staring at her lips, and looked up again.
"You are hurting me," she whispered, trying to move her hand under my grip. I tilted my head slightly and my eyes fell on her hand that still had a plaster on. Realising the wound was still healing, I quickly pulled my hand away and forced myself to sit up straight.
"Sor-ry I forgot," I managed to speak and she passed me a faint smile, shaking her head. "Koi baat nahi."
I stood up first and stretched my arm out for her. She blinked, staring at my hand, before slowly holding it and I smiled as I pulled her up. "So, ghar kaisa laga?"
"I love it, but we didn't see the last two rooms," she frowned, reminding me, and I shrugged.
"They are just two single bedroom for kids," I told her and realised what I had said, right after. Way to embarrass myself.
She cleared her throat, nodding at me and lowered her eyes to the ground, "okay, cool." I didn't miss the hint of red that popped up on her cheeks.
"N-nahi woh Nosh n-ne kaha ki gh-ghar future plan-ning.... ke saath... I mean..." My voice trailed off, when I realised either way I will be making a fool out of myself, and sighed, "ugh, forget it!"
Surprisingly, she snickered beside me, still staring at the floor, and I raised an eyebrow at her. Waise toh laal peeli ho gayi par hansi nahi ruki. I chuckled, seeing her trying her best to suppress her laugh in front of me.
Raising my hand, I brushed her hair away from her face and tucked them behind her ear while her eyes stared deep into mine. A strange feeling clenched my abdomen when my eyes flickered back to her lips and her snickering faded away. Slowly rolling in her lower lip between her teeth, she bit it so harshly that I thought she would cut open her skin any second.
Tracing my fingers along her cheek, I stopped, firmly cupping it in my hand. She tilted her head slightly, pressing her cheek against my hand. Her skin was burning; literally.
"Waqas," she moaned and I blinked, taking a step back. You are making her uncomfortable, a voice whispered inside my head.
"I am s-sorry, I--" Suddenly she fisted my shirt, stopping me from completing it, and stepped forward.
"I want this," those three words left her lips in a mere whisper and I instantly stepped forward, pressing my body against her. She stared deep into my eyes, refusing to Look away.
Wrapping an arm around her waist, I kept the other hand behind her neck and slowly pulled her closer until there was no distance left to be eliminated between us. Her eyes fluttered shut as I leaned in, kissing her tender lips as gently as I could. Like she was a China doll. So delicate. I waited for her response, patiently, and it were her nails that dug deeper into my skin before her lips began to move in sync with mine. As the kiss deepened, I sank deeper into her touch, feeling good for the first time in forever. I felt possessed by her; every passing second made it hard for me to break the kiss. Being close to her– being with her– felt amazing; I couldn't deny that.
Feeling her hands rubbing up and down my chest, in a rapid motion, I pulled away, slowly, giving her a chance to breath. With her eyes closed, she rested her forehead against mine as a faint smile appeared on her lips while both of us tried to catch our breath. Damn this girl! Even with her smudged lipstick and puffy eyes, from all the crying, she looked so flawless.
Why is it that taking my eyes off her is so hard at times? She irritates me so much, yet its becoming so hard to resist her with each passing day.
"Roop I—" I began but only to be interrupted by my annoying ring tone. Groaning, I pulled away from her and pulled out my phone from my pocket; it flashed Nosh's name on it.
Sliding my finger across the screen, I answer the call, and pressed the phone against my ear. "I was missing you sooooo damn much right now. Nosh!" I huffed, clearly telling her how unwanted her call was at the moment; Roop snickered.
From the corner of my eye, I noticed her stepping away, and hurriedly grabbed her arm, keeping her beside me.
"Awww itna hi yaad aa rahi Thi toh time pe ghar hi aa jaate," Nosh spoke from the other end, "kids are dying to meet you Waqas. Jaldi aao na!"
"Mamu jaldi!" I heard Shayyan screaming from behind.
"Aa raha hoon," I chuckled before ending the call and turned to Roop, "let's go?"
She nodded at me and I turned around to leave when she stopped me.
"You were saying something," she spoke, reminding me. The moment was gone. I ran a hand through my hair, shaking my head.
"Fir kabhi."
