ROOP's POV

Life's been good for the past couple of days. Waqas and I have been hanging out together, we have been watching movies too- I did end up convincing him to watch SOTY after all. He would plan dinners and we would occasionally turn off our wifi and cell phones to spend some time in peace and just chat.

So far, so good.

I have come to know him better as a person and his life away from media. He has started to open up and talk freely about himself with me. I really appreciate his efforts but honestly, I don't know how all this is going to turn out. He says he will learn to love me but how's that possible? You can't teach yourself to love someone, can you? Isn't love a feeling that pops up out of no where and screws up your brain and heart completely?

"Roop!"

"Aah!" I snapped out of my thoughts, screaming, as Waqas popped up in front of my face.

"You zoned out on me!" He gasped, widening his eyes in disbelief.

"No- yeah. Sorry," I sighed while he shook his head. "I blubbered so much for nothing. Itna boring hoon main?"

"I said I am sorry," I pouted at him. He huffed and stood up, "chalo."

"Where?"

"This is why you are supposed to listen when I talk," he smirked, offering me his hand. I took it and stood up from the sand. This is where we have spent our past eight days; Just chilling and hanging out in Goa.

"I did hear everything you said," I told him in my defence.

"But were you listening? I doubt," he was still smirking as he dragged me along the beach.

Due to the expensive stay and off season, there weren't many people around on this Private Beach And Resort. We were able to access almost all the activities without waiting in line or being hounded by fans.

"No way!" I widened my eyes upon reaching our destination.

"Yes way!" He chuckled beside me, "this is what you get for not listening."

He kept his chin on my shoulder, watching me, and I gulped at my sight. I am neither a good swimmer, nor I can drive that well and dying while Jet Skiing isn't really my plan.

I pulled my shoulder away, causing him to lose his balance a little. "You hate me so much, I didn't know!"

"Oh what?" He laughed, "Just because I want to go Jet skiing with you?"

"I cannot Swim, Waqas!" I told him, embarrassed.

"So? You don't need to swim. Just hold on tight and try not to fall," he shrugged. Try not to fall? Yeah right.

"You think it's that easy?" I muttered, not expecting an answer. He just held my hand and dragged me along the warm sand.

A boy, who hardly looked like he was in his teens, pulled out a blue and white jet ski for us and Waqas cooed.

"Look at this beauty!" He clapped, excited like a teenager. I smiled at him.

"Chalein?" He asked me and I shook my head. He sighed, "Kuch Nahi hoga, main hoon na!"

"Issi baat ka toh darr hai!" I snapped, causing him to gasp.

"What?" I winced when he narrowed his eyes at me. "You should be glad I am in a good mood!"

"Really? Nai hote toh?" I asked him, raising an eyebrow.

He leaned closer and I shivered as he tucked my hair behind my ear. "Paani main dhakka de deta," he whispered; his lips lightly rubbed against my earlobe, giving me chills.

"You are so mean," I groaned, after recovering from his touch.

"That's what I am!" He grinned, evilly.

I looked back and forth between Waqas and the Jet ski, biting down my nervousness.

"Chal ab," he tugged on to my arm, pulling me along. I stood there like an idiot as Waqas sat on his seat.

"Keep your foot over there and hop on," the boy instructed me, sensing my confusion. Keeping my Hand on Waqas' shoulder, I sat behind him, and wrapped my arms around his torso.

"Hold on tight! You are about to fly!" Waqas shrieked and I chuckled. He was way too excited for this.

"Have fun!" That boy smiled at us and I rolled my eyes, looking out at the sea.

"Thanks," I mumbled before a scream left my mouth as Waqas sped off. My nails instantly dug into his skin as I hid my face in his back.

"Roopwanti! Dekh yaar, feel the air!" He screamed over the wind as a wave caused us to 'fly'. I pulled back a little and Waqas raised his one arm in the air.

"Look, open your arms wide!" He slightly turned to look at me. The smile on his lips, made my heart momentarily skip a few beats as I fought the urge to lean forward and peck onto his cheek.

"Mujhse Nahi hoga," I shook my head, scared, and tightened my grip around him.

"You don't trust me, do you?" He asked and I instantly ducked down as a wave washed over us, making us completely wet.

"Woah!" He laughed, turning left. "Open your arms wide or I'll make sure you fall off in thirty Seconds!"

"Zabardasti hai?" I slapped his stomach, scowling at him.

"Haan hai! And you are ten seconds down!" His voice held sternness. Before I could try convincing him, he had already started counting back.

"Three..... I am serious!"

"Two!" He did look serious.

"And—"

"Okay fine!" I shrieked before he could really push me off.

"Slowly if you are that scared," he tilted his head back so He could see me.

I nodded at him as I let go off him and slowly spread my arms. Closing my eyes, I sucked in a deep breath to calm myself. Soon enough, another wave washed over us and I opened my eyes, panting for air.

"Damn, this is so good!" Waqas shrieked, his attitude completely opposite to mine, "how was it?"

"G-good," I managed to say as a shiver ran down my spine. While Sitting behind him, I still felt cold; I wonder how he must be feeling?

WAQAS' POV

"That was fun!" I laughed again, pulling Roop with me. The look on her face gave away how glad she was that it was over.

"Pehle toh Goa aana Nahi tha, ab bacho Ki tarhan ucchal rahe ho!" She huffed, rubbing her arms, maybe feeling cold. I looked down at our clothes, realising how wet they were.

The moment we stepped inside the hotel room, I stripped out of my white and blue check shirt and picked up my towel.

"Too late!" Roop ran past me and closed the bathroom's door on my face. I gasped, banging on it, "Roop, not fair! Get out!"

"I won't take long! Wait karo!" She laughed on the other side and I groaned, wiping away the salt water.

The shower turned on and then soon turned off while I waited on the couch for her. The bathroom door soon creaked open I looked up, only to find Roop peaking out. Water dripped from her wet hair as she looked here and there. The moment her eyes fell on me, she gasped and closed the door again.

"Waqas? Can you pass me my tshirt please?" She asks after a while. I raised my eyebrow in the bathroom's direction as a hand came out from behind it.

"Woh, that one," Roop pointed where her bag was kept, making me smirk. Bari aayi Thi pehle jaane wali.

"Help yourself," I kept my feet on the table and shrugged, disinterested.

"Waqas please?" I could imagine her widening her eyes behind the door and chuckled to myself, "if you don't them I'll stay here for the rest of the night and you won't be able to take a shower!"

"Who cares!" I yawned, "I am going to sleep anyway so, Help yourself."

"Waqas?" Came her small whisper, like she was testing me. I held back my grin, closing my eyes.

Soon the sound of creaking suggested the door was being opened again and my eyes flung open. They landed straight on her leg that was pocking out of the small gap between the door and the wall.

Shit!

"Rukk!" I yelled, freaking out for some weird, non-describable reason, and she shrieked going inside again.

I got off the couch and pulled out a random brown tshirt from her bag before knocking on the bathroom's door. "Yeh Le."

She opened the door slightly, peaking though the gap, "pehle udhar dekho."

I sighed and turned away, "done!"

"Pakka?" She asked to confirm before I felt a tug on my hand, indicating that she was taking her tshirt.

I smirked to myself as I cooed, "quite sexy, Han!"

She gasped and right then the door closed with a bang. I chuckled at her nervousness before slumping back on the couch.

"Waqas this is my night suit! Pass me another one please?" She called out after a while.

"Shukar kar yeh de di!" I rolled my eyes lazily.

Moments later, the door opened again and Roop sneaked out like one would do if they were running away after their curfew time. Well the way sometimes I did only to go out for late night falooda with boys.

"Aye Roopwanti!" I called her, smirking. The moment she looked at me, I wriggled my eyebrows at her. Her cheeks turned red, and She looked away.

Soon enough, my eyes fell on her tshirt. "Is that Mickey mouse?" I asked, amused.

"I am going to change it," she said, making me frown. "Why? It looks cute."

She rolled her eyes, trying not to make her smile obvious, and shook her head, "I am not going out in this."

"Then let's stay inside and you know," I went closer to her and held her hand. She frowned at me as her cheeks flamed red again, and pulling it out of my grip.

"Go take a shower!" She pushed me towards the bathroom, still blushing. I laughed, giving up and went inside.

Pagal!

ROOP's POV

"Why are you so slow? Chalo!" I winced as I dragged Waqas along with me. He was busy texting someone; I mean, how dare he? I am supposed to be his priority right now!

"Ek mint ruk Ja yaar," he groaned, pulling his hand away. I huffed, putting my hands on my hips, and tapped my foot on the tiled floor, waiting for him quite impatiently. His fingers typed away for the next two minutes with a smile continuously playing on his lips. I rolled my eyes.

"I am going alone!" I told him and he hummed, "Pakka jaun?" He hummed again, paying least attention towards me. I nodded to myself and walked off.

Our plan was to enjoy the campfire and then dine on the patio's sunk in couches. But he was ever too busy messaging someone. Not that it really bothered me but— actually no, it did bother me. Someone else had all his attention. That was hell annoying.

"Oww!" I howled in pain as something hit my lower leg and bounced off.

"Sameer, stop!"

I looked behind me as A woman ran past me, following a little boy who was running after a ball. That ball must have hit me! She soon reached the boy and picked him up. Walking over to me, she kept him down and smiled at me.

"I am extremely sorry for what he did!" She sighed and bent down to the boy's level, "Sameer beta, say sorry to Aunty!"

Aunty?!

Sameer looked up at me with big eyes and held his ears, "sorry!" He looked no more that 6 or 7 years old.

I smiled and kneeled down in front of him, "aap toh bohot hi pyaare Hein... Hi!"

He looked at his mother before shaking hands with me. I smiled at him and got up.

"Hi, I am Simran," the lady smiled at me and brought her hand forward.

"Haha and where is your Raj?" I joked, failing miserably, as I shook hands with her. She frowned at me and I sighed, "as in Raj and Simran. DDLJ? No?"

"Funny enough, that is my husband's name," she chuckled, shaking her head.

"Oh," Awkward!

"Roop!" I introduced myself.

"Nice name," she complimented, making me smile. "Thanks!"

"So? Are you here all alone?" She asked me and I sighed, shaking my head. "My husband's too busy with his phone!"

She chuckled before nodding, "mine's too busy drinking with his friends and I can't join because of this shaitan!"

"Aww don't say Like that. He is so adorable," I grinned down at Sameer. He stepped back and hid behind Simran.

"Waise Maine kaheen dekha hai aapko?" She frowned at me. I raised my eyebrows at her before shaking my head, "I doubt it. I have only been living here for a couple of months."

"Maybe," she shrugged it off, "so uhh, what's your plan?"

"Ah, I don't know. I was planning to hit the camp fire," I told her and she smiled. "I am heading the same way, let's go together, I guess?"

I looked back at the resort's entrance and Waqas still hadn't stepped out. I sighed internally and nodded at Simran.

"So, what do you do?" She asked me and I smiled. "Nothing much, just a house wife."

"That's a big job itself," she sighed, "I have been doing it since he was born. No breaks, no holidays. It's tougher than being a working woman."

I just nodded at her. "I haven't seen much difference personally but I have started to cook a lot more than I ever bothered while I was working away from home."

"Really? Is your husband a foodie too?" She chuckled, "main bhi cooking kar kar ke thak jaati hoon."

"And what about your kids?" She asked out of no where.

"Oh, no kids," I shook my head, "I recently got married.... But they will come along soon," I winked at her. In Shah Allah.

We reached the camp fire and found It was crowded with people already. "Let's just go somewhere else," I sighed and turned around, only to have my way blocked by someone.

I gasped as I collided with their firm chest and bounced back.

"Waqas! Dekh ke chalo na!" I groaned, as his face came in my view.

"Kaha chali gayi Thi?" He narrowed his eyes at me and I rolled my eyes.

"Oh ho, mil Gaya time?" I asked him, smiling sarcastically.

"Do minute wait kar leti," He countered back.

"Aapne jaane Ko kaha tha," I reminded him, folding my arms in front of me.

"Bohot zyada baatein Nahi maan'ne lagi hai?" He groaned, narrowing his eyes again.

Iss Bari Si naak par itna sara gussa. Hayyeee!

"Mama kehti Hein shauhar ki har baat maan'ni chahiye," I grinned sheepishly, only to irritate him.

"Accha? Mama shauhar ke sir par bethne Ko bhi kehti Hein?" He raised his eyebrow at me and I rolled my bottom lip between my teeth.

"Mama toh—"

"Oh My God!" Someone shrieked beside me, pulling us out of our fight. Oh shoot, Simran!

"Uhm..." I began but she chose to speak up.

"You are Roop! Roop Waqas!" She exclaimed, ever so excitedly.

I just nodded at her, confused.

"I knew I have seen you somewhere!" She added, still surprised, "your wedding has been such a news!"

Really?

I nodded at her in amusement, feeling so surprised myself.

"One minute," she excused herself, rummaging through her side bag and pulled out a white paper and pen.

"A-autograph," she extended it towards us and I waited for Waqas to take it from her. He smiled and scribbled a quick one on it.

"You too," Simran gave me the paper and I looked up at Waqas, confused. He eyed towards the paper, smiling, and I slowly took it from Simran.

Best Wishes,
Waqas!

I smiled, reading his autograph in beautiful cursive handwriting and penned a tiny 'Roop' under it before giving it back to Simran. She rambled on about her teenage years and love for DhoomBros, while I stood there, still surprised.

Someone asked me for my autograph. Maine aisa kya kiya, Bhai?

Simran excused herself shortly after and left with Sameer.

"Arey wah! Aap toh famous ho gayeen. Waise Kaisa laga?" Waqas asked me, instantly, making me frown. "Kya?"

He rolled his eyes at me, "your first autograph, Pagal! Excited? Confused?"

Before I could answer, he said, "adat daal le, aage aage Aur bohot mauke aayenge. But for now, let's celebrate your first one!"

"Waqas choro na," I gasped as he began dragging me, "let's just go and have dinner for now!"

"Haan na, that's what we are gonna do! Ab Chal," he yelled over the voices as he dragged me towards the crowd. I cringed my nose at all the people dancing while getting drunk as Waqas pulled me out of the crowd from the other side, towards the sea shore.

"Where are we going?" I yelled over the music to grab his attention.

"Tu bas Chal!" He rolled his eyes at me, making me huff.

I stopped walking, making it hard for him to drag me, "pehle batao, you know curiosity—"

"Curiosity Kills the cat... Blah blah blah," he mocked me, making my jaw drop at his tone. "Jao main Nahi aati. Hmph!"

"Pakka?" He raised his eyebrow at me, as if challenging me. I rolled my eyes at him, folding my arms in front of my chest, and tapped my foot on the sand.

"Just because you asked for it," he smirked at me, shrugging his shoulders, and before I knew it, I was thrown over his shoulder.

"Haye jaan nikal di. Kitna khati hai Tu!" He winced dramatically as he began walking and I punched his back.

"Put me down!" I protested, digging my nails in his back while kicking his stomach.

"Like I said, you asked for it!" He laughed before I kicked him hard, making him howl, "zara soch le beta, paani main phek doonga!"

"Uncle Ji, phek kar dikhao. Dum hi Nahi hai!" I mocked him, knowing he won't do anything like that.

Soon all I could see was water under me and I gulped, nervously, "Waqas, don't you dare!"

"Bari aayi sherni, Abhi dikhata hoon!" He laughed evilly as I held on to his back tightly. He threw me off his shoulder and a scream left my mouth, seconds before my feet touched the ground.

Releasing a sharp breath, I slowly opened my eyes, and found him smirking at me. I pushed him away instantly, and turned away, irritated. My eyes widened when I realised where we were; it was a glass boat with eight lanterns attached to the edges of it. The floor beneath us was as if we were standing on the water with small fishes swimming there. There was a round couch for us to sit on and a mini table in the middle with some more Chinese lanterns kept on it.

"Amazing," I mouthed.

"I just guessed you will like this stuff," Waqas' whisper sent a shiver down my spine. He was so close!

"How?" I found myself asking as his hand touched my shoulder. "You are a person who happens to find her happiness in little things and this seemed perfect for the night."

"You are cute!" I giggled, pulling his cheek, gently.

He rolled his eyes at me, groaning, and I smiled at my Husband. I know he finds it hard when he is stuck in situations like these but it's cute seeing him at least trying for me.

"Come, let's send our wishes to heaven," I giggled again, excited, and held his hand, dragging him along.

"Heaven, Han? Let me tell you, I don't believe in all this," he shook his head, disapprovingly.

"Neither do I. But if it works, even for one per cent, then what's the harm in trying?" I shrugged, picking up a pen.

"Acha? Aisa kya maangna hai?" He asked, cocking his eyebrow at me.

I rolled my tongue over my lips, "Bas Kuch... Apne liye."

"Leh, tujhe kya zaroorat hai?" He rolled his eyes, "Tu toh bas order kar. Jo chahiye mil jaayega!"

"Acha? Kaun dega?" I question him, raising my eyebrow. He jerked his collar in response, "main, Aur kaun?"

"Dekhenge," I sighed and looked away, focusing on the lantern again.

Mohobbat mai adhoore bohot se mukammal hue Hein, yeh suna hai kahi;

Kisi ke ishq ka tassawar kiya hai yahi.

Milega ya jayega door,

hamesha salaamat rahe Meri Duaa hai yahi.

All I want is his happiness! A tear involuntarily rolled down my right eye and I looked up. Waqas was gazing at me, intently, with his hands in his pockets, and I forced a smile. He smiled back and stepped towards me, making me step back instantly.

"You can't read This!" I reminded him, hiding the lantern, and he ended up laughing at me. I scowled in response as he shook his head and raised his hands in the air, in defeat.

He took me by surprise as he tucked some loose strands of my hair behind my ear, "Whatever it is, I am sure you will get it one day."

His hand stayed on my cheek for moment longer than I had expected, burning my skin. Clearing my throat, I stepped back and lowered my eyes.

Jaan Le lega yeh banda ek din!

Waqas cleared his throat, making me look up, "here, I have a lighter."

I opened up the lantern properly and Waqas helped me light it up. "You sure I can't read it?" He pouted at me, clearly trying to manipulate me.

"Ji Nahi," I flipped my hair at him and released my lantern in the air. "Arrey yaar!" He gasped, not expecting that from me and I laughed, seeing his wide eyes.

"Wishes kisi Ko Nahi batate, Nahi toh Woh poori Nahi hoti!" I told him, earning a light groan from him. I know it sounds childish but meri wish hai hi itni special.

"Now your turn!" I Brought the pen forward, eagerly waiting for him to take it but He rolled his eyes at it.

"Oh come on! Mere liye Sab plan kiya Aur ab mere liye itna bhi Nahi kar sakte?" I pouted at him. He sighed and took the pen from me.

"Iss. Pagal. larki. Ne. jo. bhi. manga, Woh. Isse. mil. jaye," he said it out loud as he wrote down his wish in black ink, and I gasped. "Batate Nahi hai Waqas!"

"Oh whoops, too late," he shrugged his shoulder, clearly making fun of it, "light it up now."

Scowling at him, I flicked the little wheel on the lighter and lit his lantern. He slowly released it and We watched it floating up in the air. Soon my one was out of sight and his one resembled nothing but an orange dot.

"Jo hona hota hai, Woh ho kar hi rehta hai," Waqas said after a few moments of just staring up at the sky. I looked at him and he smiled, "no wish, no prayer can change it."

"Pyaar bhi?" I found myself mumbling, and hoped that it didn't reach his ears.

"Pyaar bhi," he whispered back, making my eyes go wide in embarrassment.

He chuckled before letting the silence fall between us.

Haye so glad Wattpad lets you add GIFs now 😭😩😍😍

Who was expecting something steamy here?

Well, sorry to burst your bubble, but that won't be happening anytime soon. Love isn't about making out; it's about respecting each other, getting to know each other, be each other's support and develop a strong heart to heart bond first.

He needs to learn to respect her existence in his life and open up to her a lot more... And that's not going to happen through a few kisses and steamy scenes.

So, nope! It ain't happening anytime soon.

Love Always!!
