Sun rised. The rays penetrated through window and falls upon Bondita face.

She closed her eyes and turned aside.

By this time sarpanch arrived there with some other people and calls upon Bondita.

Trilochan: Bahu, the time has arrived. Are you ready?

Bondita takes a deep breath and nods yes.

Trilochan: Let Durga ma be with you!

He blessed her.

Sarpanch: Why you are delaying? Do you think we don't have any other works? Or your Bahu is not ready for challenge?

They all laughed. Bondita went out and looks at everyone in fierce.

He smirked. They all went to Mandap.

Bondita looks at Trilochan. He worries.

Trilochan: Keep it aside and come with your patni now. Everyone are waiting for us.

Bondita bowed to Trilochan's feet and took his blessing.

Trilochan: Sowbagyavati bahu!

Anirudh also bowed and took his blessing.

With doubts itself he blessed him. Anirudh smiled.

People are eagerly waiting to take test of Bondita.

Sarpanch is sitting in chair while others are sitting on ground.

Roy Chaudharys arrived there. Bihari is also there.

People stopped Anirudh and Trilochan.

Trilochan stares at them.

Bondita looks at Anirudh.

Sarpanch: Theek hain, without wasting time. Let's start. Anyome can question her about our culture and traditions.

A Man started to question her with sarcastic smile.

Man: Tell us the famous sweets of Bengal.

Bondita tells it without mistake.

Trilochan is busy looking at the event.

Anirudh thinks: This is the good chance, let me go to post office and apply for entrance test.

He steps backward silently. Soon he vanished from the crowd and walks faster towards post office.

Woman: What are things will you keep in puja plate on Monday?

Bondita: Monday is for Shiv ji. So I will keep coconut, Diya, prashad, and his favourite flower Datura. Kaka sasurji taught me this.

Everyone wondered. Trilochan smiled with pride.

Sarpanch: Arey ladki, who are you? We haven't seen you in this village.

Mini: I belong to Tulsipur only. Did you all forget us? We have returned India from London. My dad name is Visu.

All are stunned and surprised.

Trilochan: Hey Bihari, what is going here? Is she Saudamini?

Bihari: Hn, malik Ji. I think yes, that's why she is telling her baba name as Visu. I am sure she is going to make problems.

Trilochan looks on.

Bihari: Where is Anirudh babu?

They looked here and there.

Mini: Listen everyone. I also want to question this girl.

Sarpanch: Yes, you can.

Mini: But first tell me, what if she lose this challenge?

Bondita blinks for this question.

Trilochan: She is not a bengali. Sakha pola should be given by her mother. As they are madrasi they don't have that culture.

Mini stares at them while Trilochan smirked.

On other hand, Anirudh deposits the form in the post box and pays the money for it.
