------------------------------------------------------------

Saint Patrick's Day was a day that was told to be of much fortune and gold. There are many who wanted to believe luck was on their side that very day. Typically there were some who were superstitious. People thought that if you were to make a wish in a fountain, it would come true, or if you were to wish upon a lucky star you would have your wish granted.

Let's just say this situation here was something like that.

[Y/N] [L/N], a voyaging sailor who traveled across the seas, ended up making a wish to find a blessing for her people back home.

She was considered the light of her village, oh so she was. Her [H/L] [H/C] hair flew in the air around her from the force of the wind of the ship she sailed on. Some say that her hair was the one of a goddess and was rumored to be one. She never thought anything of it and always thought everyone was funny for thinking so.

She wanted to give her people the blessing they deserved, so she ended up going on a journey to find something of the sort. She heard tales of time that there was a place of peace, prosperity, fortune, and luck. And that she aimed to look for.

The lady had been sailing across waters for a couple of days. Though it didn't bother her too much, she was convinced, there was no land around.

That is until she saw figures of sand-like structures before her at a distance.

"Ah! Land!" she would say ecstatically after lowering her telescope, rushing to the sails to readjust them. It appeared that she was a one-man crew, despite the capabilities of her ship for the size it held.

----------------------------

After some time, she docked at the shore of the sand biome. The smell of the hot sun-basking off of the sand particles-made it a bit tempting for the girl to jump into the water. But of course, she wouldn't do that. She came for a mission, not a swim in the ocean. "Now, let's go see what I can find there..." she mumbled to herself, taking a map to see if it was a charted area. Turns out that only the shore was ever charted, but it'll do for her.

[Y/N] continued her way through the hot desert shore, occasionally picking up sugar cane to collect for later. She also began to chew through a piece as she wanted a snack. Eventually, she came in contact with a sandcastle. No, not the kind people would make at the beach, like an actually cemented sandcastle. She did find it weird that there was no wall around it, but it must be sacred enough to be on its own she supposed.

She once more gazed up at the sight before her, before she heard the drawing of swords. Her gaze clicked to the side and instantly came in contact with two guards. Maybe they were the ones who were guarding the entrance? "Um, excuse me, but I'd like to know what this place is" she would ask one of the two anonymously. "Ma'am, we first like to know your business here", one of the guards said with a young voice.

This made her begin to wonder, was this area off-limits to the outside? Or is it done in the sense that it was?

Those thoughts confused her a bit, shaking them off instantly before answering the guard who replied. "I have no particular business, however, I would like to meet with the person in direction of this area," she retorted.

Both of the guards stood there for a moment, looking at each other before the other began speaking with a gruff voice. "You may enter, however, do not try anything or the king will have your head". The words sent chills up her back, but she took his warning, giving a nod. The two guards stood aside and let her into the castle.

After she stepped inside, the doors immediately closed themselves. Maybe some kind of contraption to be built as a security feature? [Y/N] stopped herself before getting into too much thought, as she didn't want to be one to judge every detail. She was a heavy thinker and observer after all.

While the girl was in her thoughts, she hadn't noticed a man of gold (quite literally) came down the stairs of the castle. He appeared to be a totem hybrid with green eyes, wearing a typical king's robe and crown. But what stood out is the fact for his golden spade-like tail, or that he had much jewelry littered across his body. (Even The Blade might be furious for the appearance. Gold and jewelry were his things to wear after all!)

The king who had been attending to his daily deeds had been walking down one hallway above that overlooks the lower floor. The sight of the woman intrigued him greatly, hence why he went down in the first place.

"Welcome to my castle, my lady. What brings you here on this fine day of fortune?" asked the man, who was now at the bottom of the steps of the place he called home. [Y/N] darted her head around and flushed, realizing this was the king. His appearance couldn't say otherwise, right?

She instantly bowed before him, and she received a chuckle from the taller male. "No need. I have received plentiful of bowing today from others" he said, receiving a flushed female, who had stopped bowing.

"What is your name, dear?" he asked her. "It is [Y/N], sir," she replied.

He kept note of her name mentally, muttering it in a low voice to himself to see how well it fit his tongue. He was satisfied. "Pardon me?" she asked, to which she received a shake from the king. "It's nothing". He didn't think she would hear him speak. The woman must of had great hearing.

All his thoughts aside, Foolish finally decided to introduce himself. "My name is Foolish. You are well aware I'm the king here based on your initial reaction when I first came down. The gesture is appreciated, but don't let a woman like yourself fall down so easily just because of one person" he advised, getting a very embarrassed [Y/N]. She swore she may have been red as a tomato!

He inspected the girl more now that he was closer to her. He ended up directing his attention to the clothing she wore. It was definitely not from around thereof where he lived. He only assumed that she came from somewhere else, certainly far of distance. She was wearing captain-material clothing for the sake of the gods!

His demeanor from a bit ago faded away as his expression became neutral, just like a king when he has matters to attend to. "I see you are not from around here...may I ask, why are you here?" he asked. After hearing his directed attention on the partials that she wore, she stiffened slightly. She would have been convinced that he may have been scanning her body features, but she knew better for it was a fair point. "Oh uhm...I came in search of something that could give to my people as a way to thank them for their kindness towards me. I heard rumors of this land being filled with much fortune and prosperity, so I came looking for it. Glad to know that this land was not made up as a folk tale, for I think I may have seen a bit of heaven in my eyes".

The words of the female caught Foolish off-guard. He didn't know what to say. If he weren't part totem, he'd be convinced that he would be as red as the female before him. "Oh my..." he shut himself up as fast as a cheetah could run. He didn't want to make assumptions. He should never. Unknownbenowest to him, the woman had meant something else in the sense of the land rather the man who ruled it.

[Y/N] simply gave off a small wholehearted smile. Seems like she was warming up to the king. And so was Foolish himself, for he was warming up to the woman named [Y/N]. And little did they both know it, that feeling was mutual for the first time in their lives.

What emotion was it again? [Y/N] couldn't remember.

Ah, love. That's what it was called.

When [Y/N] used to look back on the idea of love, she always had the curious mind of a little girl: she wanted to find someone to be with forever and forever (as cliche as it sounds). Although her life grew up under a strict family who wanted nothing but the best for her, she strived for freedom. She never got to experience love, at least in a romantic sense...she was far too busy being tutored by her family and learning everything about life she could from books stored with history.

Now the thoughts seem to come in when she first interacted with Foolish. Her heart seemed to flutter with how he first reacted to the woman bowing, despite it being for the good reason of a king. And oh lord, his chuckle to her sounded astonishing.

It was like she had seen a god herself and was going to faint any second now.

Except not, for she was too frozen to do so.

That very day, they got to know each other much better...

----------------------------

It was now two and a half years later.

While [Y/N] had her mission to go out and find the fortune she strived for her village, and immediately return, turns out she had a liking to staying here in Foolish's kingdom. He had offered her a home inside his castle to be with him. She gratefully took up his generous offer. Such a sweet man.

Ever since then, you two grew close, and even had moments that were peaceful with you two just together alone.

Some citizens of the kingdom had questioned the two's relationship anonymously, but the two had always given shrugs to each other about it. But when in truth, it couldn't be any farther from it.

[Y/N] learned of Foolish's background and how he was befriended with a god named DreamXD, who did come by every so often to see how Foolish was doing (or the world for that matter). Though when she first encountered him, the girl was scared half to death. It had to be when she was asleep and found the hooded deity outside on the balcony of her room that she was given. She usually headed out there on nights but to see XD outside startled her. When XD knew of her presence, the two stared at each other for a bit before she screamed bloody murder down the hallways and into Foolish's quarters. While he wasn't too happy about it in need of his rest, he understood the moment she showed him XD, who seemed to ridicule the girl's actions.

Foolish then politely asked his friend to join him in another room other than [Y/N]'s due to her need for rest. The two began talking the instant the door was shut. "You really need to stop showing at weird times. My friend, I understand you are a god, but that there is my darling. I cannot stand if she were to get hurt". And just like that, XD respected the girl ever since. In fact, he went to the point of teasing Foolish for his interest in her. "XD with all due respect, you are acting like a child right now," the totem would state, receiving a chuckling god before him. These two always joked freely, though Foolish always respected him and never went too far. To be honest, one wrong move and the god could have him killed...even if he was a totem of undying hybrid. Though he doesn't know it, DreamXD would never do that. He respects him as much as Foolish respects him. Unless he betrays him in some way, he wouldn't even think of laying a finger on him.

And in little time, sure enough [Y/N] grew to enjoy XD's presence, despite him being a higher being who could possibly kill her without remorse. That was another thing both she and foolish could agree on, they thought.

After some time even the god himself grew to like her just as Foolish did. However, he made a mark in not getting too close.

One day, Foolish had decided to summon his beloved. [Y/N] quickly came to his call as he called her. Though he asked her to join him in his bedroom since it seemed to be important.

The male, not wearing his typical attire is just casual clothing, looked up into the eyes of [Y/N]. He thought they were gorgeous, he had to admit. While they haven't admitted it aloud, they knew silently that they loved each other. Their actions showed it as well. They need not confirm it with each other because they just knew.

The two were sitting on the bed, talking.

"I shall grant you the wish of fortune upon your people to show you the respect of my generosity, although on one condition..." he trailed softly, before placing the female's hands in his. For a moment he seemed hesitant, but he built the courage to continue on with his words. He decided to change the initial statement and it rather become a question. He was no man of disrespect after all. "...May I ask, would you like to be my queen?"

The question struck the female in a confusing manner, but soon after realizing what he had meant, she blushed as red as apples could get. "F-Foolish I- YES!" she replied, hugging the man with all her heart and soul. Foolish couldn't help but choke back some emotions as well but kissed the top of the female's head instead. "I love you, [Y/N]....do not think I have ever said it but just know that I do". [Y/N] looked up at him, to which she received a pecky kiss. It didn't help with her blushing mess.

Unknownbeknowest to the two, a certain god was watching that whole scene play out. DreamXD made notes of their relationship from afar, as his duty was to know what was what after all.

"Those two deserve each other," the god said to himself, helping himself to smile despite the mask covering his facial features. While it was amusing to tease his friends (as he would consider with respect)

Before he could read anything else, the two spoke again.

"Hey, Foolish?"

"Yes, [N/N]?"

"I'm glad I got to know that tale wasn't fake, otherwise I would have never met you"

"Same here, darling, same here..."

The girl shed a joyful tear.

"I suppose fairy tales do come true with my luck"

------------------------------------------------------------

Yo guys, I'm so sleep-deprived right now. I worked on this until 2 in the morning, so, please give me mercy TuT

So yeah some bits may not make sense, sorry about that-

Anyways, I wanted to throw in XD because c'mon....it ain't a package deal without him in the mix with Foolish haha

Plus he's plot armor for me in some sense actually....I dunno I feel like I can write him as accurate as can be considering he is a mysterious type (of which has that same personality as Dream) but throw in some not-canon personality stuff for the sake of the one-shot lol

But I hope you guys enjoyed this! This is the actual first one that's been original and off-script for me in this book!

Also please don't hesitate in requesting at all! I will take any possible ideas (even yandere ones). I did use to write yandere fanfiction so I have some experience in that!
