Kavin and Kanchan (Kavin's mother) along with Shreya and Tarika were eagerly waiting for Paritosh and Purvi. Kishore has gone to the airport to receive them. Shreya and Tarika have come to meet Purvi.

"To Kavin tumhari Purvi dikhti kaisi hai?"...Tarika asked Kavin to tease him while stressing "tumhari Purvi".

"Haan sir bataiye na!"...Shreya said with a teasing smile.

Kavin: Shreya wo...

"Aunty...Aapko pata hai jabse Kavin sir Lucknow se wapas aaye hain tab se inke chehre par bas khushi hi khushi jhalak rahi hai"...Shreya said to Kanchan after interrupting him.

Kanchan fully understood her and Tarika's intention of teasing Kavin.

"Kyun Kavin aisa kounsa jadoo kar diya hai Purvi ne?"...Tarika asked teasingly.

Kavin looked at her and Shreya as he understood their intention of teasing him.

"Main abhi ek call karke aaya"...He excused himself and got up from the sofa.

"Kise?...Apni Purvi ko?"...Tarika asked teasingly and laughed.

Kavin became embarrassed as he heard her. He hastily walked towards his room. Shreya and Tarika laughed while Kanchan smiled at him.

"Kavin ne ab tak Purvi ko dekha nahin hai"...Kanchan told Shreya and Tarika.

"Kya?"...Shreya and Tarika exclaimed surprisingly in unison.

"Haan!"...Kanchan said.

She told them everything about Kavin's marriage with Purvi. Shreya and Tarika were utterly surprised to hear her.

"Kavin aur Purvi ne ek doosre ko kabhi nahin dekha...Aur phir bhi shaadi kar li"...Tarika uttered surprisingly.

"Haan!"...Kanchan said.

"Lekin phir bhi aunty mujhe lagta hai Kavin sir Purvi se pyaar karne lage hain"...Shreya said while smiling.

"Purvi hai hi itni pyaari"...Kanchan said while smiling.

Shreya and Tarika smiled as they heard her.

"Bahut masoom bachchi hai...Bachpan mein hi uski maa ka dehant ho gaya, phir uske papa ne use paala-posa...Apne papa ki laadli hai wo"...Kanchan said further while smiling.

Shreya and Tarika smiled as they heard her.

"Aunty aap mili hain Purvi se?"...Shreya asked excitedly.

"Shreya main Purvi se mili hoon lekin tab jab wo aath saal ki thi...Aur Kavin ke papa to haal hi mein mile the us se, jab wo apne college ke kaam se Lucknow gaye the tab...Aur jab wo wapas Mumbai aaye tab unhone faisla kar liya ki Purvi hi hamare ghar ki bahu banegi"...Kanchan replied while smiling.

Shreya and Tarika smiled as they heard her.

"Waise Paritosh bhaisaab ne Purvi ki kuchh tasveerein bheji hain...Kavin ne to mujhe dekhne nahin di. Keh raha hai ki jab wo ghar aayegi tab dekh lijiyega"...Kanchan said and laughed slightly.

She forwarded the pamphlet towards Shreya and Tarika who looked at her in confusion.

"Isme Purvi ki kuchh tasveerein hain...Tum dono dekh lo"...She said while smiling.

Shreya and Tarika looked at each other and smiled.

"Aunty ab hum bhi Purvi se hi milenge, aap ye photos rakh lijiye"...Tarika said while smiling.

"Jee aunty...Bas thodi der ka hi to intezaar hai...Kishore uncle Purvi aur Paritosh uncle ke saath aate hi honge"...Shreya said while smiling in excitement.

Kanchan smiled and nodded. She kept the pamphlet back in Kavin's diary.

On the other hand, Kavin was smiling while thinking about Purvi. He jerked his mind and slapped his forehead.

Kavin: Kavin...Kavin...Kya kar raha hai tu...Har din bas Purvi ke baare mein hi soch raha hai...Is wajah se aajkal tera kaam mein bhi dhyaan nahin rehta...Kahin tu pagal na ho jaaye Purvi ke pyaar...

He stopped in the middle of his sentence.

"Pyaar?...Kya mujhe Purvi se pyaar ho gaya hai?"...He murmured to himself.

He laid down on his bed and thought about it.

Kavin: Shayad haan...Lekin maine to ab tak use dekha bhi nahin hai...Phir pyaar...

He thought for a while and smiled softly.

"Kavin Kumar...Pyaar kisi ki surat dekhkar nahin uska dil dekhkar hota hai...Aur Purvi ek bahut achchhi ladki hai...Jo ladki apne papa ki izzat aur khushi ke liye kisi anjaan ladke se shaadi kar le uska dil ekdam sachcha aur achchha hoga"...He said to himself while smiling.

He got up from the bed and walked towards the window of his room. He looked at the bright shining moon and smiled. He closed his eyes and thought of the sweet little moments when he was with Purvi.

He opened his eyes and smiled while looking at the moon.

Kavin (Pov): Main tumse pyaar karne laga hoon Purvi...Aur aaj main khud se ye waada karta hoon ki hamesha tumhi se pyaar karoonga, hamesha tumhe khush rakhoonga aur hamesha tumhare saath rahoonga har mod par kyunki ab tum hi mere liye sab kuchh ho.

He came out of his thoughts when he received a call. He glanced at the caller ID and smiled.

"Jee papa boliye..."...He said as he picked up the call.

"Kavin...Beta...Purvi...Aur...Paritosh...Purvi aur Paritosh...Ab...Ab nahin rahe"...Kishore said from the other side. His voice choked in his throat but still he managed to tell him about the whole matter.

Kavin fell down on the floor like a lifeless person after hearing the disheartening news. Emotions swirled through his eyes in the form of tears. Breathing hitched as his knees grew weak and he slumped to the cold tiles on the floor.

He was facing the wall of his room, his face creased and his fists closed so tight that he could feel the sweat trapped inside them. He cried until no more tears came, but still the emptiness and sorrow remained in his heart.

At the same time, Kanchan came there with Shreya and Tarika. They became surprised to see his condition. Kanchan rushed towards him and he hugged her immediately. Shreya and Tarika also walked towards them in worriedness.

"Kavin!...Kya hua beta?"...Kanchan asked while patting his back.

"Maa...Purvi"...Kavin could utter only these words as his voice choked in his throat.

Kanchan as well as Shreya and Tarika became confused as they didn't get what he was trying to say. They were about to speak something to him but stopped as Kishore came there. They looked at him and noticed his tear brimmed eyes.

"Kya hua Kishore aap ro kyun rahe hain?"...Kanchan asked while separating from Kavin.

Kishore didn't reply. He just walked towards Kavin and made him sit on the bed.

"Kishore aap kuchh bolte kyun nahin!...Kya ho gaya hai aaj aapko aur Kavin ko!...Aur Purvi aur Paritosh bhaisaab kahan hain?"...Kanchan asked him while looking at the doorstep.

"Wo...Wo ab...Nahin rahe...Kanchan...They are no more...Jis plane se wo aa rahe the...Wo...Wo crash ho gayi hai"...Kishore replied in a teary voice with tear brimmed eyes.

Kanchan fell down on the floor with a thud as his words reached her ears. Shreya and Tarika were in tears too after seeing the condition of Kavin and his parents. They knelt down and side-hugged Kanchan from both sides to console her.

Few months later,

It was late night. Kavin was all alone working in the bureau. Suddenly his cell phone beeped. He shifted his gaze from his file towards his cell phone and then only he noticed that his mother has called him more than twenty times. He sighed and called her.

"Kavin kahan ho tum?"...Kanchan asked worriedly as she picked up his call.

"Main bureau mein hoon maa...Aur abhi busy hoon...Aapse baad mein baat karta hoon"...Kavin replied while looking at his files.

"Tum ghar kab tak aaoge beta?"...Kanchan asked while looking at the wall clock of her room.

"Main aa jaaunga maa...Aap so jaaiye"...Kavin said and hung up without speaking further more.

Kanchan tried to call him again but all was in vain as he didn't pick up her calls.

Kavin kept his files in his drawer after completing his work. Then, he walked outside the bureau and went into the parking lot. He sat inside his car and drove off for a nearby beach. When he reached the beach he came out of his car and moved towards the rocks. He sat on a nearby rock and kept staring at the sea shore. He moved his legs back when the sea waves touched his feet and looked at the night sky which was full of stars which were of different sizes and shapes, swirling, twisting, and churning amongst themselves in an enormous war that was too slow and much too big for his mind to contemplate as now his mind was busy with the thoughts of Purvi.

It has been six months since he came to know about Purvi's accident and in these months he had become totally different, he didn't use to talk to anyone and if he would have talked, it would have been just a matter of his work, he had stopped smiling also; in short he had stopped living. He always wished only one thing and that was to be with Purvi but this was in vain as destiny had already taken her away from him.
