Life doesn't discriminate between the sinners and the saints it takes, and it takes, and it takes, and it takes
DAISY sat at a desk in an abandoned building at the outskirts of Beacon Hills, trying to hack into SHIELD, all the while, her blood was being drained. "You're getting better, Fitz, but I designed the ant-subversion code, so it's only a matter of time until—" Sue clicked a button and the monitor beeped. "I'm in." She leaned forward, reading what was on the screen. "Huh. Interesting." She looked to the other computer screen to see Lincoln in containment, bouncing a ball up and down. "They still have got you locked up. Was somebody being a bad boy?"
"You like the bad boys."
She turned to Hive, amused by his tone of voice. "Jealous?" At his face, she said, "We have a history. I thought we had a future once, but I gave him his chance and he refused, so now I just feel sorry for him." The monitor beeped so she turned my attention back to the computer. "Ah, damn it, Fitz."
"Your friends are very persistent," Hive stated, sounding agitated, "They keep fighting us, forcing us to move, wasting valuable time. If it happens again, there'll be no absolution."
"It won't," she assured him, "Fitz is on the losing end of this. We'll get back into the system, and we'll know every move they make. Plus, who would ever think to look in Beacon Hills for me?"
"How's our patient?" Radcliff came into the room, grabbed her wrist, and flashed a light in her eyes.
"I'm fine except for the bright light shining in my eye." Daisy pushed him away from her, but thanks to her weakened state due to blood loss, he barely moved.
Radcliff looked down at her. "I think that's enough for one day." He turned to Hive, "Don't want to kill the golden goose." Daisy pulled the I.V out of her arm, wincing as she did so. "Just take it easy. You just drink this and get some rest." He handed her a beer which made her look at him weirdly. "No, that." He held out a Snapple and she took it.
"I think you're the one who needs rest," Daisy mused, barely able to open the Snapple.
He shook his head, glancing at Hive. "Well, we'll rest when we're dead. Not you. I — I didn't mean... That's just a phrase. No need for any deaths." He gulped, looking down at the beer in his hand before turning to Hive. "We're ready for the alpha test."
Radcliff walked off and Hive followed.
DAISY had just got done contacting Lincoln when she heard her name being called downstairs. She weakly got up from her chair, grabbed onto the wall, and slowly started making her way downstairs.
"Daisy?" Was the first thing she heard when she reached the bottom. She looked up abruptly, seeing the deformed Inhumans she had helped create, holding Melissa McCall and John Stilinski. "Oh, my god! Baby, what happened!?"
Daisy simply smirked. "A miracle happened, mother." She tilted her head at her as she tried to stand tall. She turned to Hive as he walked towards her, a smile on his face.
"Do you like my present?" He asked, tilting his head down at her.
"I do." She nodded before turning to the two parents. "What if I could offer up something that could take away all of your pains? All your guilt, despair, hurt, all the void." Upon seeing them flinch at the name she had used, the smirk on her face widened.
"Did — did the Nogitsune resurrect and possess you?" John choked out, staring at Daisy with tear filled eyes. She tilted her head at him as Hive wrapped his arm around her.
"Oh, John, Hive is way worse than the Nogitsune." She tried to take a step forward, but she lost her balance and almost fell to the floor. "I'm okay, I'm okay," she assured both Hive and Radcliff as they both reached towards her. She groaned, standing up straighter, the room lightly spinning as she tried to regain her composure.
"What did they do to you!?" John bellowed as Melissa sobbed into her hands. "And what are they going to do to us!?"
"They didn't do anything to me, John," Daisy stated, taking his face in her hand. She grinned, rubbing her thumb on his cheek bone. "I did it to myself so I can save everyone I love." She walked towards Melissa, doing what she did to John. "Mack didn't want to be saved so I tried to kill him. If you refuse, I do the same to you." She roughly let go of her face, taking a few steps back. "And what they're going to do to you? Well, they're going to make you guys like me; an Inhuman."
"Swee — Sweetie, who's Mack?" Melissa asked, staring at her with horror in her eyes.
"Who he is doesn't matter anymore 'cause I don't care for him anymore." Daisy grabbed Hive's hand as he held it out to her. "Soon, the whole pack will follow after you both." She smiled at the thought of her whole family being with her in this blissfull life. "You know.... if they don't die."
"Come, Daisy." She turned to Hive who gestured to the computer. She nodded and he led her towards it. "Make sure you get Lincoln to come here." He made her look up at him. "Don't fail this task like you did the last."
"I won't fail," she assured, putting on her headset, sending Melissa and John one last look as the minions started strapping the both of them down to seats.
DAISY turned to Hive as he walked up to her, and she swallowed thickly, "He's on his way."
"Good." Hive petted her hair. "I'll be there to greet him when he arrives. I know you feel bad about lying to him, though once he joins us, he'll understand."
"I know." Daisy nodded before ripping out another I.V out of her arm. She felt a whole lot weaker than she did before, but she didn't care. She walked towards Melissa and John, taking their hands in her's as they watched her with fearful eyes. "I know you don't understand, but you will soon, I promise. Every bad thing you have ever felt or witness will go away. It will feel as if you're walking in a meadow full of pretty flowers; pure and nice. It's amazing."
She grinned down at their forms, watching as Radcliff was about to put the I.V's in their arms. Before he could, the front door was ripped open and in came Scott and the rest of the pack. She smiled at them and they paused, looking at her in confusion. "Hello!" She grinned before snapping her fingers. The next second, the pack was grabbed by the Minions. "Take a seat." They were shoved onto their knees, not standing against the Minions strength.
"Daisy!?" Stiles and Scott both gasped out in surprise.
"That's my name." Daisy grinned wider, staring down at them.
"Are you okay?" She turned to Scott as he looked her up and down in concern. "You smell like death."
"Hmm." She hummed, clicking her tongue. "I feel amazing Scott. Everything is so exhilarating," she admitted just as Hive arrived and wrapped an arm around her shoulder, staring down at the pack with a deadly calm expression.
"Who are you!?" Stiles spat out, "What happened to Lincoln, huh, Daisy? Did you decide you didn't like him either?"
"Is this the Stiles you told me about?" Hive questioned, taking threatening but calming steps towards Stiles who gulped and tried to move backwards, but couldn't seeing as the Minion had a deadly grip on him. "Hmm. His treatment will go as smooth as possible." He gave Radcliff a look who then injected the I.V in Melissa first.
Scott roared loudly, pushing the Minion off of him before charging towards Radcliff who let out a loud squeak, ducking under the table.
Daisy rolled her eyes, throwing out her hand, hitting Scott who went flying back into the wall, his hands grabbing at his throat as she choked him much like she did Fitz. "Don't try and stop this, Scott," She released him, allowing him to fall to the ground, coughing. "I'm trying to save her. I'm trying to save all of you."
"What are you talking about!?" Lydia screeched in disgust. "Wait..." she tilted her head, staring at Hive and her with wide tearful eyes. "Daisy..." she trailed off which made the girl in question tilt her head down at her. "You're not you."
"Wait... Lydia, do you mean that she's—"
Stiles cut Allison off, "Possessed?"
"I'm not possessed," Daisy stated, crossing her arms. "I'm finally free."
"No, Daisy—"
"Shush!" She snapped. "I'm tired of people telling me that I'm either sick or being brainwashed or possessed, I'm not! I'm Daisy! I'm not some brainwashed freak! I'm me! Except, I'm actually free from all the pain I have ever felt. I am finally free from my terrible life. I'm free of that void that was in me for so long. I'm free and I'll be making all of you free, as well."
"What do you mean!?" Kira exclaimed, her cute little face scrunched up in confusion.
"She's turning us into Inhumans," John spoke up, his eyes on his son. "She's killed people to get this far, do as you're told or she'll kill all of you."
"Is this true?" Scott looked up at his sister with wide, tearful eyes.
"Yup." She grinned but the grin soon fell from her face as she became dizzy again. She fell into Hive's arms.
"It's okay," he reassured her, sitting her down on a chair and then stuck an I.V through her arm. "I need to get every drop of your blood before you die right now." She looked up at him as he said those words, hearing the pack gasp, and start gelling out incoherent words seeing as she felt everything blur around her.
Well, that was before the sound of a Zephyr jet was heard and Lash came bursting through the door.
The minions were first to attack Lash which gave the pack enough time to grab Melissa and John as Daisy struggled to get the I.V out of her.
When she was finally able to pull it out, she looked up to see the pack watching Lash fight Hive. Lash gripped onto Hives' chest and the blue light appeared around him. Then, Hive fell to the floor, a burned spot on his chest.
Daisy weakly stood up. "Stay away from him!" She shouted and tried to blast Lash with a shock wave, but she fell to the floor, groaning.
Lash appeared above her and placed his hand on her chest. The blue light appeared around his hand and her chest before she was lightly picked up off the ground, something being pushed out of her chest.
Daisy then fell back against the floor, groaning even more as everything came rushing back to her all at once.
She felt herself being picked up, and she opened her eyes to come face to face with Lash who said, "Now you're free." He carried her outside and into the Zephyr before laying her on the floor.
A fire lit chain came through Lashs' chest, and Lash fell. Daisy weakly sat up, seeing James. She threw out her hand, blasting him with a shock wave which sent him flying back before she looked to Lash. He held out his hand to her and she grabbed it before he fell limp.
A loud sob escaped Daisy before she forced herself up, closed the ramp, and sat down at the pilot's seat. She grabbed the headset and put it on, swallowing thickly before saying, "Ragtag base, come in. This is Agent Daisy Johnson. I'm coming home. Repeat... I'm coming home."
DAISY was escorted into the base where SHE saw the team standing there, waiting for her. She kept her hands in front of her, entwined, barely looking any of them in the face as she was lightly pushed forward.
"Welcome back, Agent Johnson." She looked up at Coulson but couldn't bring herself to smile.
"It's good to see you." She then turned to Lincoln who looked at her in concern.
Daisy took in a deep breath before saying something for the first time since she stepped on the base five minutes ago, "Lash died trying to save me."
"Did he manage to kill Hive?"
Daisy turned to General Talbot before shaking her head.
"Get her to the med bay!"
She was then escorted to med bay before going to the module room where she was going to be held.
