Chill, it's only chaos

LINCOLN and Daisy had just gotten the news that Coulson's Zephyr had just gotten taken control of, and now they're missing. It's up to Lincoln and her to get their Inhuman team together to save the team.

Daisy held onto the wall, looking at the agents who were flying the Zyphr. "If there's some sort of secret afterburner you haven't kicked in yet, now would be the time."

"They're going as fast as they can," Lincoln told her, looking her in the eyes. "We'll get there."

She sighed, feeling angry with herself. "If I hadn't went to Beacon Hills, we would've already rescued them by now."

"Hey." Lincoln grabbed her face and made her look at him. "If we didn't go, you're friends, your family would be dead. It had to be done."

She looked down. "Coulson's team vanished halfway around the world, and we still have two pickups to make." She turned to the pilots, "Fly faster," she demanded.

LINCOLN, Joey, Elena, and Daisy stood around and looked at the computer screen that showed the building that they will be going into. "Satellite scans show massive hidden doors... a hangar buried under the oil fields about 300 feet."

"What is..." Daisy turned to Elena who was confused, "Hydra?"

"Kidnapping Inhumans, global terrorism... all-around bad dudes," she basically summed it up, pursing her lips and nodding.

Joey nodded. "How'd they take the plane?"

Daisy shrugged. "Don't know."

"What's the base's layout?"

"Don't know."

"How many soldiers?"

Both Lincoln and Daisy said, "We don't—"

Both Elena and Joey interrupted them, "You don't know."

Daisy sighed, running a hand through her hair. "We don't have much, but these are friends who've put their lives on the lines for each of us, right? But we do have a way in... service wells that can get us within 50 feet of the base."

"And what about the other 50 feet?"

Daisy looked to Joey. "I'll take care of that."

"Okay. Uh, when do we land?"

She looked to Joey, Elena, and then to Lincoln who sent her a smirk.

They all quickly fastened parachutes, turning to each other. Lincoln hit a button, and the ramp opened up. Daisy turned to her team, confident that they could do this. "For one reason or another, each of us has been given a gift. Let's put 'em to good use." She smirked before jumping out of the Zephyr.

DAISY blasted a hole through the wall, and they walked through as if they owned the place.

"Well." Lincoln inhaled. "I guess we can call this area clear."

"Split up," she ordered. "Lincoln and I go solo. You guys take the elevator. Find our team, and report back.

Daisy walked off and went into the service room, looking out the window to see the Zephyr. "I got eyes on the Zephyr," she stated through the ear piece. "Entrance is on the north side, sub-level 5. Crash on that location." She then started typing away at the computer.

Lincoln's voice came through and she was surprised to hear what came out of his mouth, "I've got Malick."

Daisy frantically started looking around for a switch but it all came to a streeching halt as she turned around to see Ward standing there. Before she knew it, his hands were outstretched and a sand like substance hit her in the face. She groaned, her body tensing up before all the pain she has ever felt, disappeared. The void was gone.

She nodded at him and went to typing away at the computer before standing up and hitting a switch, lowering a chain by the Zephyr. "Guys... I'm coming to you." She smirked before running.

As Daisy saw the telekinesis Inhuman hit Joey with a fire extinguisher, she jumped onto the chain, and slid down it. Se held out her hand, blasting the guy in the chest, sending him spiraling backwards.

She started running towards them. "I said I'd come to you." She gripped Joey's arm as they ran onto the Zephyr. "You okay?"

"Yeah. Go, go, go."

She ran up the stairs with Elena, ignoring the grunt she heard from below her. They then made her way to where they heard Hydra agents trying to get into a room. Elena easily took out all of them by herself as Daisy stood there with a smirk on her face.

She knocked on the door. "Hello?" Mack opened the door, and Daisy quickly went in, holding a bag.

"What took you so long?" Coulson asked her, amused.

"Sorry," she apologized, tilting her head at him as she laid the bag on the table. "Had to get the band back together." She then looked around the room, her eyes landing on May's hurt form. "Got anyone who can fly this thing?"

May grunted, trying to stand up as Jemma tried to hold her down. "May! You can't even walk!"

"But I can still fly."

DAISY turned to Elena, hearing her rant about what had happened. "Elevator door open. He comes out. Bullets. Boom, boom, boom! And soldiers... "Aaah!" She laughed, looking down. "This man!" She shook Joey's shoulder.

Joey chuckled, standing up, "Hey, I stopped the bullets, but you dropped 'em down."

"No, you guys all did so good," Daisy commented, sending them all a proud smile. "We were asked for a miracle, and we came through. You're a hell of a team." She looked down to see a rip in Elena's pants, a little blood gushing out of it. "You okay?"

"Oh." She looked down at it, surprised. "I didn't feel it." She looked up at her, "You run fast, things happen, huh?"

"Yeah. You sure you're all right?"

"Yeah."

DIASY walked into the room to find Lincoln staring at the Creed metal ball. "What are you doing?" She asked him, crossing her arms, leaning up against the wall.

He abruptly turned to her, "Just checking it out." He started rolling it around in his hands. "You really think it belonged to that Alveus guy? It's so old."

"I don't know." She sighed and walked towards him. "But we better check it in along with the Terrigen." She gave him a look.

He shook his head, "You're still upset I took that crystal to James' shack."

"Yes, I am." She nodded. "You should have told me."

He locked the ball into a safe. "I thought, if you didn't know, you couldn't be blamed."

"And if something went wrong?"

"I know. I'm sorry." She pursed her lips as he put the Terrigen crystal away. "Can't be easy having your boyfriend on the team."

She stood taller. "Not when you take advantage of that relationship."

He sighed. "I thought you'd understand the move."

Daisy hesitated before sighing, uncrossing her arms. "It was a good play. Just tell me next time."

He tilted his head up at her, "You should check in on Joey. I think killing Lucio has him pretty shaken."

DAISY bursted into Coulson's office to only stop in surprise to see the team minus Lincoln, Joey, Elena, and her talking. "S — Sorry. I came when I saw the base was on lockdown. What's up?"

"It's a security precaution while Malick's in custody," Coulson told her as they all kept a close eye on her.

She breathed out in relief. "Right. Did we get any info on Zombie-Ward?"

Coulson kept a straight face on. "Not yet, but I'm confident we will."

"Good. If we get intel, let me know. I'd like my team to get another shot at him," she informed him before tilting her head. "Um, but, you should know Joey crossed off Lucio. I'm not sure he was ready for that already... to be back in the field after it."

"That's hard," Coulson told her, his voice calm. "I'll check in on him."

She nodded, narrowing her eyes at all of them. "Thanks."

"WHAT do you mean?" Daisy turned around from where she was talking to Lincoln to see Elena approaching them. "I'm not leave?"

"This is common," Daisy assured her. "It's just a security thing since Malick's here."

"Security?" She placed her hand on her hip. "I want to do something, or I go home."

"Have they cracked him yet?" Lincoln asked, cutting off Elena before she could go on a rant.

"He's cooperating, but we have to be patient." Daisy glanced between the both of them. "We'll get our chance."

Elena said something in Spanish before walking away.

Lincoln sighed and looked to Daisy. "Have you talked to Joey yet?"

"I've tried. I can't find him anywhere," she told him before sighing, laying her head on her hand. Lincoln stepped forward, gently grabbed her head, and planted a kiss on her head before walking away.

DAISY turned the power off to the base and made her way to Malick's room. She opened up the door and stood there, a malicing look on her face as she tilted her head at him.

"So it's you," He pointed out. "I was curious who Hive would send. I know what you're gonna do."

She walked closer to him. "We can't let you keep talking."

"And I won't be kept from my daughter," he restored.

Dais smirked. "If I'm honest, I might enjoy this." She pushed out her hand, a shock wave being emitted, and Malick went flying back. He landed on the ground on his stomach, blood gushing out of his mouth, nose, eyes, and ears. She walked forward and kept quaking him.

She held out two hands and put even more pressure onto him, hearing his bones crack under the pressure. He screamed out and she couldn't help but allow her smirk to widen at the sound. His face started to sink in, and his eyes were full of blood that you couldn't even see his natural eye colour anymore. The louder he screamed, the more pressure she put on him until he went limp, a sickening crunch being heard.

She pulled out a small blue grenade and laid it beside Malick's body, and then walked far away from the crime scene to make it look like she didn't do it.

She came up to Coulson and Lincoln after hearing the explosion, "What was that blast?"

"Go into the common area. I'll brief everyone there in a few moments."

"Are we in danger?" Lincoln pushed past Coulson and made his way to Daisy. "What the hell?"

"Go into the common area. That's an order," Coulson ordered them.

Daisy held out a calming hand. "You've kept us in the dark all day."

"There's a situation, Daisy. I need you to get your team to cooperate," Coulson told her, his eyes hard.

Elena came out of nowhere and went up to Mack. "Were we attacked?"

May and a few agents came up from behind Mack, giving Elena, Lincoln, and Daisy a look, guns in their hands. Mack gave Elena a look. "Everything will be all right. I just need you to stay right where you are." Agents came up behind Lincoln and Daisy, blocking them in.

"May... be cool."

Daisy held up a shaky hand to Coulson, breathing heavily.

"Where's Joey?" Coulson asked, more like demanded, her.

"I don't know. Coulson, you need to level with me right now," she told him, eyeing the agents.

"We need to get you checked out." Coulson stopped her from saying anything else. "Hive can sway Inhumans. Your team may have been exposed in the rescue."

"Wait," Lincoln spoke up. "Sway... like mind control?"

"One of you killed Malick." Daisy widened her eyes at Coulson, enternally smirking at the choas around her. "I'm trying to keep everyone safe, including you. Where's Joey?"

"My team wouldn't do that." Daisy shook her head.

"They wouldn't have a choice. It's like an infection."

"We saved your asses, and you come at us?" Lincoln asked, angrily.

"Lincoln." Daisy held a hand to his chest, calming him down, and then turned to Coulson, "Why didn't you tell us?"

"Daisy, stand down," Coulson ordered her. "First, we get everyone in quarantine, and then we can talk."

"Not everyone," Lincoln sneered, "Anybody in here could have killed Malick, but you singled us out right away!"

"Lincoln, stop it!" Daisy shouted.

Coulson nodded to May who tried to shoot Elena, but Elena sped, and grabbed the gun, aiming it at Mack instead. All the agents raised their guns at her.

Thinking fast, Daisy pushed Lincoln into the room beside them, both of them landing on the floor. Quickly, Joey and Elena followed suit, Joey closing the door, and melted the door knob.

"What's happening?" Joey, looking at them.

"Where the hell have you been?" Daisy asked Joey.

"If we don't get these doors blocked, nobody's questions get answered!" Lincoln shouted, and just like that, the doors were all locked thanks to Elena.

"Okay. Someone explain what's going on," Joey demanded, wide eyed

"Malick's dead. They suspect us."

"Well, why would they think that?" Joey held up his hands in disbelief.

"They think Hive infected one of us while we were in that base," Daisy stated, pacing, all the while her head swarmed with ideas.

"Messed with our heads."

"Where were you?" She asked Joey, knowing that if she put the blame on someone else, they wouldn't expect her.

"What?"

"Where were you, Joey?" She repeated.

"The base went dark. I was looking for you." He gestured to Daisy before looking to Lincoln. "Infected?"

Elena gestured to the glass windows. "That glass not gonna keep them out."

"Right," Lincoln breathed out deeply, "How do we fix this?"

"We stay calm, and we stick together."

"Why are they sure it's one of us?"

"Malick... whatever he said to Coulson has him spooked."

"But he could be wrong. I mean, they're taking his word for it?"

Elena looked to Lincoln and Daisy, speaking in spanish. Both of them were confused. "What?"

"Screw S.H.I.E.L.D," She spat, glaring at them.

"Jiaying was terrified of Hive returning. Now I can see why. You know Fitz-Simmons quarantined Lucio's body?"

"Why didn't they tell us sooner?"

Daisy held up her hand. "If that's true, this is exactly why Coulson didn't say anything. Anybody has—"

Joey cut her off, shouting. "And if that is true, I don't want you telling me what to think... any of you. We were all alone in that base. Any of you could be infected."

"Any one of us," Lincoln corrected him. "That includes you."

"I saw it, Yo-Yo," Lincoln told Elena, gesturing to her wound. "That's not a bullet wound, so how'd you get it?"

"I fight 10 people. Accident." She turned to Joey and spoke spanish, and he spoke back to with the same language.

"What are you saying!?" Daisy snapped, "Could you please speak English right now?"

"Hey, look. It's not important, okay?" Joey held up his hand. "I don't care which one of you did this. I just want to leave, one way or another."

"Are you saying you'll fight S.H.I.E.L.D. to get out of here?" Daisy stepped forward with narrowed eyes. "Because that means me, too."

"They're about to break in. I am not going back into isolation!" Joey shouted, shaking his head.

"Why not? Alone all day, no?"

"I just needed some time, okay!?"

"Joey, you were completely AWOL when Malick was killed," Daisy stated, pointing her finger at him. "That's not okay!"

"I don't care about Malick!" He shouted before pointing a finger at her. "You were the one gunning for him, and now he's dead. That's not on me."

"Gunning for intel, not to kill him!" Daisy shouted back at him. "He's the head of Hydra."

"But it's a fair point."

Daisy turned to Lincoln in disbelief. "Excuse me? I wanted to get to Malick to finish off Ward or... or Hive or whatever. Friends died. You know that."

"Where were you when the lights went out?"

Daisy crossed my arms. "I was in my room where I told you to meet me. Where were you, sparky, during the electrical failure?" She took a step back and sighed. "Sorry. We're supposed to be a team."

"How do we know whoever turned can't infect the rest?"

"There's no evidence of that."

"I just want out, with or without your help." Joey went to walk past Lincoln, but Lincoln pushed him back. "Hey, hey, hey!"

"Suddenly, you're willing to fight your way out!?" Lincoln shouted at him.

Elena stepped forward. "Me, too. I don't trust anyone."

"No one leaves!" Lincoln shouted, his eyes narrowed.

"We need to get out of here." Joey launched himself at Lincoln.

"Hey! He's right!" Daisy shouted, breaking them apart. "He's right. We should get somewhere safe... figure this out on our own terms."

"What?" Lincoln stared down at her, dumbfounded. "We can't leave and let an infected person escape!"

"It's better than someone in here or out there getting killed," Daisy told him, gesturing to the door before sighing. "Okay. Coulson has a hidden elevator. It used to be an old underground exit. Maybe I can break through to get out. It's the only way we all live today."

There was a rattling at the door, telling the group that they're almost through.

"Okay. Let's go."

"THIS way," Daisy told them as she led them down a hallway. "The original passage is hidden through here."

"I hope you're sure about this."

As they stepped into the room, the lights turned on, revealing a padded room with a module in it. "Hi." The door behind them closed.

"You sold us out!" Joey shouted at Daisy.

She gave them all a pleading look. "I'm sorry. If someone's infected, I had to make this call."

"I mean no harm," Coulson said. "We're all a part of the same team, but one of us is sick. I didn't say anything earlier because we didn't know who it was, but now we do." They looked around the room. "Let me guess... when you decided to leave, Lincoln didn't want to go. Not without his prize." Coulson held up the Creed ball. "This was taken from the Assets room and hidden in your locker."

"I didn't do that." Lincoln shook his head before turning to his girlfriend, "Daisy, you have to believe me."

She opened her mouth, about to say something when Coulson interrupted her, "You know how to get in there. You've stolen from that room before."

"Yeah. That was different."

"No. That was exactly the same. From the moment Hive popped up on our radar, you suddenly knew where to find this and had your hands on it until our distress call diverted you to Malick's base."

"Exactly. That was before any of this could have been exposed to Hive!" Lincoln shouted, angry.

"Was it?"

"Transia," Daisy realized, taking a step back. "The rooftop."

Coulson nodded. "Daisy fought Malick. I found the bodies. But you said you caught a glimpse of Ward, didn't you?"

"So, you're saying he wasn't turned last night?" Daisy stuttered out, glancing at Lincoln.

"No." Electricity crackled. "He's been turned this whole time."

"I wasn't anywhere close to Hive!" Lincoln shouted in rage which made Daisy take a step back.

"We can fix this, Lincoln. Let us help you."

"Leave me alone!" Elena went to run at Lincoln, but she bounced back. Electricity was flowing through Lincoln's whole body. Coulson went to pull out a gun but Lincoln blasted him. He then ran towards the tablet that would open the door to the room, Joey quickly grabbed it though.

"Lincoln!" Daisy shouted, blasting him with a shock wave.

DAISY walked into the module that was in Lincoln's room. He got up from the bed and approached her. "I had to see you," she admitted.

"Daisy... I didn't do anything. I — I promise. I did not betray the team!"

She nodded. "I believe you. I believe you. That's why I came... I came to get you out of here."

"What? Are you serious?" He asked, dumbfounded.

She nodded again. "We could just walk right out of here."

"Uh..." Lincoln scoffed lightly. "They wouldn't understand."

"I don't care. We can be together."

"We can't just throw S.H.I.E.L.D. away. They'll find a test and see that I'm innocent. How did you get out of your cell?"

Daisy clicked my tongue and smirked. "I'm the one who programmed the security features. Lincoln, S.H.I.E.L.D can't hold us."

"But we want them to, right?" She tilted her head at his words. "Daisy... what did you do?" She simply smirked. Lincoln took a step back, his eyes wide. "So... this is what Hive's sway looks like. Daisy, he's using you!" She rose an eyebrow at him. "You're... You're sick."

"No," she denied. "I'm happier than I've ever been. You get it. You've felt an emptiness your entire life, like me. We've tried to fill it, but it never works. There was always a void. I found the answer... and it's beautiful. It's — It's — It's a bond."

"Beautiful?" He looked at her in disbelief. "Daisy, people are dying!"

She scrunched her face up. "Malick?" She asked in disgust. "Malick doesn't matter. He could only hurt us. What we are trying to build—"

"Do I matter that little to you?!" He shouted at her, interrupting her, his voice cracking.

"No, I care about you!" Daisy shouted at him. "I—"

He shook his head. "The Daisy I know wouldn't betray S.H.I.E.L.D., wouldn't throw away what we have! Y — You framed me."

"I'm sorry. But Coulson had to find his rat so S.H.I.E.L.D. could stand down," she admitted, grinning. "And you have trouble keeping your temper."

"Really?" He asked, shaking his head.

"But I'm not throwing you away," She told him, furrowing her eyebrows at his words.

He started chuckling humorlessly, "You —You — You used that against me?!"

"I'm here for you now!" He chuckled at her words. "We care about you. We could have all of it... together."

"No." He shook his head at her in disgust. "I don't want any part of this."

"You'll understand someday." She tilted her head at him before walking away.

She packed a bag, taking a few Terrigen crystals, and the Creed ball before walking to where the Zephyr was.

She held her hand out, and blasted the lock system; there was no way they were going to get out of this one. She held out her hands to her sides, a shock wave hitting the floor, making the whole place shake.

She started walking towards the exit, all the while, quaking the whole place down, smirking as she did so.
