Some legends are told, some turn to dust or to gold, but you will remember me
"WHAT exactly do you need?" Daisy asked into the phone, the device pressed to her ear.
"There's a pack of alpha's that—"
"Is that even a thing?" She interrupted him, chuckling as she heard the irritated breath he took. "Okay, sorry, continue."
"Is she coming or not?" She heard Stiles voice basically shout in the background which made her heart speed up. She hasn't talked to him since the night he blew up on her before she left.
"I don't know, dude," Scott told him, "Shut up so I can explain things to her!" She chuckled lightly, her lips going up in a smile as she has missed her brother these past few months. She hasn't seen or talked to them since, always declining their calls, not even reading their billion texts. She wasn't even gonna answer this call, but once she saw that Scott has texted her; CODE RED. She knew she had to.
"So, what's going on, Scotty boy?" Daisy asked, her eyes glancing over the pictures of Lash that was on the wall. They needed to figure out if what she had saw — Lash turning into a human — was real. "You do know that I have my own problems to solve, right?"
"No, we do not," came the voice of Lydia's snarky voice over the phone.
"Are you guys having a pack meeting?" Daisy questioned before clicking hr tongue. "And am I on speaker?"
"You are now!" The voice of Stiles, chirped. And even though he tried to sound enthusiastic, she could tell that he was bitter. It's not her fault that he wasn't the one she fell for. "What other problems so you, oh so desperately need to solve?"
Daisy looked over at Coulson, asking him for permission through her eyes. He nodded his head at her, lips pursed. He seemed hesitant, but he knew she needed to tell them something, anything for her to get the guilt off of her. "There is a bunch of stuff I want to tell you, but right now, I can only tell you a few things. One, which you already know, I have powers. My people are called Inhumans, and something happened." She took in a breath as she remembered what her mother did.
"What happened, Daisy?"
"My mother, she was the leader of the I place called Afterlife, it was a place made for people like me, a place she built. I was dropped off there by a man named Gordon after I was shot. Anyway, it turned out that my mother wasn't who she said she was. She was evil and tried to kill me, almost did if it weren't for my father who, by the way, isn't what people made him out to be. He was suppose to be a killer, a man with no remorse or mercy, but when I knew him, he was sweet, a little off, but sweet. He helped me figure out when I was born, how old I am, even helped me with some family stuff."
"What happened?"
"My father killed my mother to stop her from killing me. He ended up getting his memory's wiped, so he has no idea who he really is or that he has a daughter." Tears welled up in her eyes. "Umm... my mother tried to use the terrigen crystals — the thing that made me what I am — for bad. I ended up pushing the plane that had them in it, into the ocean. The terrigen crystals must've broken and entered the fish, the fish were then turned into fish oil pills, people took them, they changed. So, now, we're trying to hunt down these people who have changed before another inhuman does. By the way, this inhuman is killing the inhumans he finds."
"Wow," They breathed out, trying to process what she had just told them. "Wait, we?"
Daisy sighed, rubbing a hand down her face. "Yeah, we." She chuckled lightly, turning away from Coulson who was looking at her in concern. "So, I am with these people called SHIELD. I can't tell you much about them seeing as they'll most likely kill me, or, at least, try to." She smirked, "Anyway, they deal with all things alien or unnatural."
"So, you're a spy now or something?"
"Something like that," she teased, smiling.
"Is that why you haven't returned all of our calls and texts?"
"Yeah," Daisy partially lied seeing as it was kinda true but also not true. Another reason is because she simply wanted to forget her life in Beacon Hills because she didn't want them to get hurt because of her. But, this phone call was making her realize that she wouldn't be able to forget about them even if she wanted to. "Enough about me." She cleared her throat. "Let's get back onto the reason why you called me."
"Oh, yeah, well—"
SO, apparently Daisy's friends have gotten themselves in quite a pickle.
They've been dealing with an alpha pack full of alpha's. The leader was a man called Deucalion who seemed to be an asshat. Deucalion had set twins into the school to frame as high school students to watch Scott and the others. On top of this, Stiles thinks that human sacrifices have been happening.
Daisy can't blame him though, she has hacked into the hospitals patient files to see how many people have been killed the same way. Only two so far. Even though there has only been two, she can't help but think Stiles is somewhat right.
Something weird is definitely going on.
And that is what leads her to where she was right now; Derek's loft.
Scott bursted through the door, a wide eyed look on his face. "I know where they are."
Daisy nodded and leaned against a pillar, her arms crossed. "Same building as the Argents, we know."
Boyd decided to speak up upon noticing Scott's confused face, "Cora and I followed the twins."
Scott gave them all a look. "Then they want you to know."
"Totally." Daisy nodded at Scott in agreement. "They want to show you the upperhand they have." She pushed herself away from the pillar. "Which they wouldn't have if you just let me at 'em."
"No." Derek gave her a firm look which made her purse her lips in anger. "If they know what power you hold, they will somehow use you as an advantage."
"So... technically what you're doing right now," Daisy pointed out, angry. "You only don't want me to use my powers so that when we fight them, they won't know what hit 'em."
Scott looked between them. "What is this?"
"Isn't it obvious?" Peter questioned, a smirk on his face. "The schemers are scheming, coming up with a coup de main, better known as a pre-emptive strike."
"You're going after them?"
Derek nodded. "Tomorrow. And you're gonna help us." He crossed his arms. "They're one floor above them in the penthouse, right above Allison."
Scott turned to Daisy in disbelief, "So, kill them first, that's the plan?"
"If we let them live, they will continue to come back, kill people, or go somewhere else, and kill people. Either way, people will continue to fucking die." Daisy stood her ground. "I'm an agent of SHIELD, I am suppose to stop this sort of thing."
Scott shook his head. "Why is the default plan always murder? Just once, can someone try to come up with something that doesn't involve killing everyone?"
Peter gave Scott an annoyed look. "You never get tired of being so blandly moral, do you?" He then pointed at Scott. "Not that I disagree with him."
"I do." Cora — Derek's long lost sister — retorted. "Why do we need this kid?" She turned her head and glared at Daisy, "Or her? I haven't seen her here since you guys got me out of the bank."
"Y'all need me because I'm more powerful than you all put together." Daisy gave her a smug look, "I can show you if you like." She clenched her hands; the whole building shook violently, making Cora almost fall to the ground in surprise. Daisy laughed and stopped the shaking. "If you try to underestimate me again, darlin', it won't just be shaking the loft, it will be me tearing your insides up." She gave her a false smile.
Scott turned to Derek. "You can't beat a pack of alphas."
Cora spoke up again, "That's why we're going after Deucalion, just him."
Boyd gestured around the room with his hand. "Cut off the head of the snake and the body dies."
"Only this isn't a snake, it's a hydra. You know what happened when Hercules cut off one of the heads of the hydra?"
Daisy looked up at Peter, my eyes widening at the familiar name. "Two more grow's back in it's place." She nodded, huffing. "I've heard that expression way too many times to forget it."
"YOU didn't come alone," the voice of Deucalion spoke up, his voice ringing in her ears.
"Yeah," Scott replied dumbly, "This is Isaac."
"I'm not talking about Isaac."
At that, Derek, Boyd, Cora, and Daisy walked out of the shadows; Daisy was wearing her SHIELD clothing.
Scott turned to them in disbelief. "You knew I would do this? Derek, Daisy, don't. You can't do this so no one gets hurt. If someone else dies—"
Derek turned to Scott. "Him." He then glared at Deucalion, "Just him."
Deucalion smiled in amusement. "Just me? Now, how's a blind man find his way into a place like this all on his own?"
At that, the twins Daisy was told about jumped off a ledge that was above us, flipping through the air before landing on their feet. They then morphed into one huge vultron wolf thingy.
Daisy tilted her head and popped her fingers as two more figures showed up, the woman sliding down a pillar, no shoes on. She rolled her brown eyes — show off. Daisy smirked before running towards the girl. She ducked just as she tried to claw at her face. Daisy brought up her fist, punching her in the jaw before jumping up, and sending a round house kick to her side.
Daisy ran backwards just in time as she looked up and flashed her eyes at her. Daisy smirked at her angry figure as launched herself at the younger girl, but thanks to her extra training, Daisy jumped out of the way, literally inches away from being clawed by her feet.
"Damn, wolfie, you need some training, you suck," Daisy commented which only made her angrier. She jumped at Daisy, but unlike the other times, Daisy didn't jump out of the way in time. They both fell to the floor, her on top of Daisy. She brought up her clawed hand and was about to push her fingers into her brown eyes when Daisy threw out her hand; she went flying backwards into a pillar, a loud crack emitting from her neck and back.
She fell to the ground, not moving.
"Such power."
Daisy turned to Deucalion who had come up behind her. "Thanks." She smiled before throwing out her hand, he easily caught it. She threw out her other hand, and sent him backwards. "Don't touch me, you crazy dog," she sneered, turning around to find the only other male wolf having Scott down on the ground, his feet on his neck.
A growl revited out of her throat as she threw out her hand, throwing him back. He tried to gain balance as he came to an edge.
Daisy's eyes widened, but she knew what she had to do. She clenched her hands into fists and made the ground shake at the same time as Derek ran forward, swiping at the mans' chest. The man grabbed Derek's shirt, and they both fell off the edge.
"No!"
Daisy stopped shaking the ground, and they all ran forward, looking down from the ledge to find both Derek and the man, on an escalator, not moving.
Daisy let out a surprised breath before falling onto her knees. This was her fault.
Derek was dead because of her.
