will they know what you overcame? Will they know you rewrote the game?

"AS you all know, there indeed was a body found in the woods last night." Skye smirked as she turned her head around to stare at both Scott and Stiles. "And I am sure your eager little minds are coming up with various macabre scenarios as to what happened. But I am here to tell you that the police have a suspect in custody, which means you can give your undivided attention to the syllabus which is on your desk outlining this semester."

She groaned loudly, not caring that the whole class turned to stare at her weirdly. Ever since she woke up this morning out in the woods, her whole body has been tingling and sometimes her hands would feel as if they have pins and needles in them.

As the teacher went to say something to her, the classroom door opened and the vice principle walked in, a girl with long brunette hair, soft brown eyes and a nervous smile followed right after.

Skye looked her over, tilting her head as she did so. She was a goddess with a sharp jaw.

"Class, this is our new student, Allison Argent. Please do your best to make her feel welcome."

The older McCall smiled at Allison as she walked to the free seat behind her brother. She watched as Scott handed her a pen, a geeky smile on his face as he did so. She 'awed' as she saw the way they looked at each other.

"We'll begin with Kafka's Metamorphosis, on page 133."

Skye frowned and groaned again, a lot louder this time.

"BUT if you play — I'll have no one to talk to on the bench. Are you really gonna do that to your best friend?"

Skye hit Stiles upside the head, glaring at him. "You have me." His eyes widened and his cheeks heated up slightly. "You'll always have me," she told him and turned to her brother. "You both have me."

"I can't sit out again," Scott told them, sighing. "My whole life is sitting on the sidelines. This season, I make first line." Skye patted get brother on the arm and sent him a tight lipped smile.

"McCall!" They jerked around to see Coach Finstock approaching them.

"Yeah?" Scott and Skye both questioned, confused.

"Not female McCall." He pointed at Skye before making a face. "Wait... which one is actually the female?" The female McCall looked to Scott, a chuckle wanting to escape her as she saw his offended face. "You!" Coach shouted, pointing at Scott. "You're on goal."

"But Coach, he's never played," Skye tried to save her brother the embarrassment. And plus, she didn't want to drag his ass all the way to the hospital if he were to have a asthma attack. He was a lot heavier than he looked, mostly because he always took the last cookie.

"I know — scoring some shots will give the boys a confidence boost," Coach explained to Skye, smirking. "It's a first day back thing. Get 'em energized, fired up!"

"What about me?" Scott meekly asked, brown eyes wide.

"Try not to take any in the face. Let's go!" He threw a lacrosse stick and a helmet into Scott's arms before wandering off. "Come on!"

Skye watched in horror as Scott stood in front of the net, looking like a child who just got scolded but didn't do anything. She closed her eyes tightly as s lacrosse ball was thrown into his face.

"Hey, way to catch with your face, McCall!"

Skye glared at Jackass sorry Jackson before picking up a lacrosse ball that was near her and threw it at him. Thanks to him not seeing it coming, it hit him harshly on the leg. She laughed loudly and high-fived Stiles.

She then looked over at Lydia who sat on the bleachers with Allison and smirked. The brown-head gave her a sarcastic wave before turning her attention to Scott who caught a lacrosse ball. Her mouth hung open in shock as Scott kept catching them, one after another.

"Whoohoo! Go Scotty!" She yelled out in happiness and surprise.

"I don't - I don't know what it was," Scott stuttered out as Skye ran forward and jumped over a puddle of water. She landed on her feet successfully and looked back at Stiles who threw up his hands and grumbled. "It was like I had all the time in the world to catch the ball. And that's not the only weird thing. I — I can — hear stuff I shouldn't be able to hear. Smell things."

"Smell things?" Stiles and Skye questioned in unison, scrunching up their eyebrows. "Like what?" Stiles asked, looking at Scott questionably.

"Like the mint - mojito gum in your pocket." Scott pointed at Stiles before turning to Skye. "And the strawberry shampoo you washed your hair with this morning." Skye hummed, impressed by his sense of smell.

"I don't even have any mint - mojito—" Stiles paused as he pulled out a piece of gum. "So all this started with a bite." He held out the piece of gum to the female McCall and she took it with a smile.

"What if it's like an infection, like, my body's flooding with adrenaline before I go into shock or something?" Scott asked them with wide eyes, his eyes wandering around the woods.

"You know what? I actually think I've heard of this - It's a specific kind of infection," Stiles spoke which made Skye freeze for a second before she saw the mischief in his gorgeous whisky colored eyes.

"Are you serious?"

"Yeah. Yeah, I think it's called lycanthropy." Se face palmed as she heard those words fall out of Stiles' mouth.

"What's that? Is that bad?" She face palmed again as Scott was stupid enough to fall into Stiles' trap. How can this boy be related to Melissa? She just doesn't see it.

"Oh, yeah, it's the worst. But only once a month," Skye decided to play along just because this was probably going to be the most interesting conversation of her life.

"Once a month?" Scott mumbled before turning to her. "Is that what you get once a month?" Her eyes widened and she sputtered.

"Mm - hmm." Stiles smiled widely, winking at her, and she narrowed her eyes at him. "On the night of the full moon." He howled which made both Scott and Skye to push him. She laughed as he tripped over a branch and fell. "Hey, you're the one who heard a wolf howling," he told Scott as he got up off the ground.

"Hey, there could be something seriously wrong with me," Scott told them, frightened. Skye looked to her brother before rubbing his back in comfort.

"I know! You're a werewolf! Rrr!" Stiles fake growled, and Skye glared at him upon seeing Scott's worried look. "Okay, obviously I'm kidding. But if you see me in shop class trying to melt all the silver I can find, it's 'cause Friday's a full moon."

"We don't have a shop class, Stiles," Skye deadpanned. She stopped rubbing Scott's back and went over to Stiles, and starting wiping off leaves that were on his back.

"No, I — I could have sworn this was it. I saw the body, the deer came running. I dropped my inhaler," Scott told them, pointing to the spot around them.

"Maybe the killer moved the body," Stiles spoke as the trio bent down and started searching through the leaves.

"You know, this would be awesome if we had a rake and made a pile of leaves," Skye told them which earned her looks. She held up her hands in mock surrender as they went back to their previous conversation.

"If he did, I hope he left my inhaler. Those things are like 80 bucks," Scott pointed out and she grumbled, her hand slipping into a small puddle. She stood up and wiped her hand on Stiles' back. He slapped her hand away which made her chuckle.

"What are you doing here?" They jumped and turned around to face a really attractive guy that was around twenty-two and who was wearing a leather jacket that was a little too big. "Huh? This is private property." Both boys pushed Skye behind them protectively.

"Uh, sorry, man, we didn't know," Stiles stuttered out, trying to look strong.

"Yeah, we were just looking for something, but — Uh, forget it." The mysterious hottie dug his hand into his jacket pocket and threw it to Scott who easily caught it. "Uhm." Skye peaked over his shoulder to see his Inhaler laying in his hand. When they looked back up, the mysterious hottie was gone. "All right, come on, I gotta get to work." Scott started walking to where they had left Stiles' jeep.

"Dude, that was Derek Hale." Stiles slapped both of their arms. "You remember, right? He's only like a few years older than us."

"Remember what?" Scott questioned as Skye realized what Stiles was going on about.

"His family. They all burned to death in a fire, like, ten years ago," Stiles spoke as if it was an easy subject to talk about.

"Six," Skye corrected Stiles, looking back at where Derek had stood with a sad frown on her lips.

"I wonder what he's doing back."

"SCOTT! Scott, wait up." Stiles ran up to Scott and Skye, flailing his arms around and breathing heavily.

"You okay?" She chuckled, patting him on the back for support.

"Stiles, I'm playing the first elimination, man - Can it wait?" Scott questioned in a hurry, grabbing all of his lacrosse gear.

"Just hold on, okay?" Stiles breathed out. "I overheard my dad on the phone. The fiber analysis came back from the lab in L.A. They found animal hairs on the body from the woods!"

Skye whipped her head around so fast that she got whiplash.

"Stiles, I gotta go," Scott told Stiles, and gave Skye a kiss on the forehead before running off towards the field.

"Wait, no! Scott! You're not gonna believe what the animal was!" Stiles looked towards Skye as she looked at him with wide eyes. "It was a wolf."

"Let's go!" Skye looked to Stiles, gave him a look before grabbing his wrist and pulling him towards the bleachers. "Gather round! Bring it in, come on! Come on!" She saw Scott smiling and waving at someone so she turned around to see who he was waving at; Allison. She grinned proudly and as Allison looked over at her, the female McCall gave her a thumbs up before turning back to the field. "Got a question, McCall?"

"What?"

"You raised your hand. You have a question?"

"Oh - No. I was just, uh — Nothing. Sorry." Skye muffled her giggles by putting her hand over her mouth.

"Okay." Coach went on as if he forgot about the whole exchange, which he probably did. "You know how this goes. If you don't make the cut, you're most likely sitting on the bench for the rest of the season. You make the cut - You play. Your parents are proud. Your girlfriend loves ya! Huh? Everything else is, uh - Cream cheese." Skye furrowed her eyebrows at his choice of words. "Now, get out there and show me whatcha got! Come on!" Everyone got in their spots and instantly got into the game.

Skye grimaced as Jackass rammed into Scott and smirked down at him. "Get up, Scott!" She shouted and he got back up quickly.

This time, he seemed to be putting his whole mind and body into it. He caught the ball, swerved around people so easily and delicately that Skye was pretty sure that if she were him, she would've twisted both of her ankles.

And as three guys blocked his path, Skye thought he was a goner but he surprised her and everyone else as he jumped and did a flip over them, getting the ball in the goalie. She stood up in shock, her mouth hung open.

"McCall! Get over here!" She watched, still in shock, as Scott approached the Coach. "What in God's name was that? This is a lacrosse field. What, are you trying out for the gymnastics team?"

"No, coach."

"What the hell was that?"

"I don't know. I — just trying to make the shot."

"Yeah, well, you made the shot. And guess what?" Skye watched in anticipation, gripping Stiles' arm as she leaned forward, waiting, waiting for what? She didn't know. "You're startin', buddy. You made first line. Come on!"

"Whoohoo!" Skye shouted, cheering on her brother.

"GET in," Stiles ushered Scott into his room.

As her brother laid eyes on Skye, he rose his eyebrows in shock. Her hair was pulled up in a messy bun, she had on Stiles' jogging pants, and one of his flannel's. Overall, she looked like a girl version of him. Which isn't any different from any other day, to be honest.

"You gotta see this thing. We've been up all night reading — websites, books. All this information."

"How much Adderall have you had today?" Scott questioned their best friend as he sat down on Stiles' bed beside his sister.

"A lot," Skye answered for their hyper active best friend.

"Doesn't matter. Okay, just listen." Stiles gave Skye a look, but she innocently shrugged back.

"Oh, is this about the body? Did they find out who did it?"

"No, they're still questioning people, even Derek Hale," Stiles told him, an annoyed look growing on his face.

"Oh, the guy in the woods that we saw the other day."

"Yeah! Yes. But that's not it, okay?" Stiles finally got fed up and flailed his arms around, almost falling out of his roller chair.

"What, then?"

"Remember the joke from the other day?" Slye questioned, but continued before he could answer, "Not a joke anymore. The wolf - the bite in the woods. We started doing all this reading." She paused, looking at him seriously. "Do you even know why a wolf howls?"

"Should I?"

"It's a signal, okay?" Stiles took over for Skye. ""When a wolf's alone, it howls to signal its location to the rest of the pack. So if you heard a wolf howling, that means others could have been nearby. Maybe even a whole pack of 'em."

"A whole pack of wolves?"

"No. Werewolves," Skye told him, standing up off the bed.

"Are you seriously wasting my time with this? You know I'm picking up Allison in an hour," Scott reminded them, standing up from the bed, looking like he was about to leave.

"I saw you on the field today, Scott. Okay, what you did wasn't just amazing, all right? It was impossible." Skye stood by Stiles' side, her arms crossed.

"Yeah, so I made a good shot."

"No, you made an incredible shot, I mean - The way you moved, your speed, your reflexes. Y'know, People can't just suddenly do that overnight. And there's the vision and the senses, and don't even think I don't notice that you don't need your inhaler anymore," Skye explained to him, actually worried for her brother. "You might not be my real brother, but I care for you and right now, this whole thing, the way you moved out there on that field, I'm just now realizing it could be something dangerous."

"Okay! Skye, Stiles, I can't think about this now. We'll talk tomorrow."

"Tomorrow?! What? No!" Stiles shouted, his whiskey colored eyes wide, "The full moon's tonight. Don't you get it?"

"What are you trying to do?" Skye stood back in shock as the accusing tone in Scott's voice. "I just made first line. I got a date with a girl who I can't believe wants to go out with me, and everything in my life is somehow perfect. Why are you trying to ruin it?" He looked at his sister with hurt in his brown eyes. "You say you care for me, but this, this shows you don't. If you did, you wouldn't be trying to ruin my good mood."

"We're trying to help," Skye whispered, taking a step closer to her brother. "You're cursed, Scott. You know, and it's not just the moon will cause you to physically change. It also just so happens to be when your bloodlust will be at its peak."

"Bloodlust?"

"Yeah, your urge to kill." Stiles nodded at him.

"I'm already starting to feel an urge to kill, Stiles," Scott spoke through gritted teeth, clenching his fists together. Skye took a step in front of Stiles and gave Scott a soft look, hoping to calm him down.

"You gotta hear this. "The change can be caused by anger or anything that raises your pulse." All right? I haven't seen anyone raise your pulse like Allison does. You gotta cancel this date," Stiles pointed out and that's when Skye knew what she had to do.

"I'm gonna call her right now." She reached over into Scotts backpack and grabbed his phone.

"What are you doing?"

"I'm canceling the date," she told him simply, walking around him, about to press in numbers when she was grabbed and pushed up against the wall.

"No, give it to me!"

Skye closed her eyes tightly, whimpering, Scott's phone falling from her grasp. Tears sprung to her eyes as she thought about her foster dad. He had done this to her many times before. And for Scott to do something like this to her, it made her heart ache and her whole body tingle. There was a slight shake of the room and that's when she realized that the fist that Scott had held up to hit her with, it never touched me. She opened one eye to see Stiles holding onto Scott's arm angrily.

"I'm sorry. I — I gotta go get ready for that party. I'm sorry."

Once Scott was out of the room, she slid to the floor, sobbing.

"Skye?" She shook her head as she heard the worry in Stiles' voice. The next thing she knew, she was wrapped up in an embrace and something warm touched her forehead. She leaned her head into the crook of Stiles' neck, her arms wrapping around his waist. "Shh. Shhh. It's going to be okay, Skye. Everything's alright."

SKYE looked out her bedroom window, a creepy tingling feeling run up her spine as she felt like someone was watching her. Instantly, she closed her curtains and jumped onto her bed, dry tear stains on her cheeks as she was too lazy to wash her face.

She covered her whole body with the comforter and closed her eyes tightly, wishing that this was all just a bad dream and that everything was going to be okay just like Stiles had said.

Oh, how wrong she was....
