wow. this is actually done. after months of working on this, it's complete. honestly, i got this book idea at my friend megan's funeral. except toaster didn't exist and laurel was never going to begin to forgive herself. but that weekend, i watched a show about therapy dogs and bam! toaster was born. and as i began to plan and write and really know laurel, i knew that she would forgive herself and that there was more to her under all the trauma from kendall's death. i've sometimes played around with the idea of a prequel of her in high school, so you can see her mentality then, but i'm also sure that her story is complete now.
