The band stands on stage watching the madness go down. Something tripped the electrical so even though the stadium light are working the spot lights and microphone amplifiers are not. At the serveritu they'd have to post phone the concert. Everyone is stressing as gates open in an hour. They don't want to cancel this show.

"So, the biggest issue is finding a way to untrip the switch." The head stage tech says to the band. They nod. "We'd need someone to climb all the way up into the rafters and untrip the switch." He says, the band nods again knowing none of the techs here could get all the way there.

"Justin!" A young women comes running downstage.

"Jess? Who's this?" He says referring to the young girl behind her.

"Maeve" Jess and Patrick says in unison.

"She said she'll climb up and untrip the switch, she's shorter then 5'4" she says, Maeve nodes behind her.

"Jess you know I can't allow her..." Justin says, Maeve steps forward.

"Actually you can, I'm not legally a volunteer so you're not legally responsible if something were to happen and I won't sue" She bargains.

"I'm sure your parents would" He says, she takes an unsteady step as sirens and burnt sheet metal fill her head.

"Trust me when they say they won't" she says, Justin sighs again.

"Okay" He says, Patrick grabs her arm.

"Don't hurt yourself, please" He says, she nods.

"Hey, not to say we all aren't worried but what's up with you?" Pete says, Patrick sighs.

"She's the merch girl, and a hella nice and good one at that" he says, he watches her climb up the ladder and onto the rafter bars. He fidgets as she switches wire around. Suddenly all the lights turn on at once and the amplifiers make a loud vibration and screaming noise.

    The vibration shakes her and she wobbled but regains her balance, breathing heavy. "Maeve are you okay?" Patrick yells, she gives him a thumbs up. He lets out a breath he didn't know he was holding.

   She comes successfully down from the ladder everyone claps. "I have to back before people start flooding" She says running out quickly.

     "We have to thank her later, somehow" Andy says, then all nod.

    "I have an idea" Pete says, they huddle together...

    Once again Jess comes running to Maeve's merch booth in a hurry. "They need you onstage" she says, Maeve turns from the person she was helping eyes wide.

    "What? But I'm" She says, Jess slips behind the counter.

     "I'm taking over they need you onstage now, go" She says shoving her towards the backstage entrance.

    "Oh there she is!" Patrick says spotting Maeve in the wings. "Come out here Maeve" He says, she takes unsteady steps out onto the stage and the crowd roars. "This girl is the reason why the show was postponed tonight and we all..." He stops as the other band members come patting her on the shoulder. "Think she deserves a Thank so give her a round of applause!" Patrick says.

    She smiles and waves shyly. "Tonight, this song goes out to you, will you stay onstage with me for this one?" He asks, she nods. "Sing along if you know it okay Maeve" he says, she nods.

    "I don't know where you're going but do you got room for one more troubled soul..." and suddenly she feels like crying with happiness. As she gets more comfortable her and Patrick start dancing together and he lets her sing the last line into the mic.

    "Everyone give it up for Maeve! And if you see her at the merch booth say hello!" Patrick says, Maeve runs off stage and takes a breath. "I think my dream just and true..." she says smile on her face taking over for Jess...
