The attack was launched, as a large fireball was shot out from Alex's sword and straight towards the tightly bound Herrscher of Corruption.

There was nothing the Herrscher could do, as it took the attack.

It connected as an explosion occurred.

Smoke then filled the room before eventually clearing out, as Alex saw Jizo Mitama now just standing there motionless, before the purple glow it had in its eyes slowly faded away, as the Herrscher collapsed down, onto the ground finally defeated.

Alex breathed a sigh of relief, the golden glow from his eyes going away, signaling that he was done using Kallen's power.

Suddenly, Alex saw a ominous purple haze began evelop the room as he just remembered where exactly he was again.

"C-Crap right this is the Herrscher's domain! With it gone this place is gonna go away! I gotta get outta here!" He shouted.

The boy frantically looked around for an exit but there was none.

Thankfully he didn't have to worry for long as the pendant glowed again.

"Quick! Through there!" Said Kallen's voice within Alex's mind.

The boy looked behind him and saw a white colored rift, and knowing that he didn't have much time, immediately went through it without a second thought.

Once he was fully through, he was on a hill which had a single Sakura Tree under a night sky.

"Thank goodness. You should be safe here."

Alex heard Kallen's voice again, this time not in his mind, but rather just in front of him.

He looked ahead and sure enough, there she was with a smile on her face.

"It's finally over. This 500 year long, endless cycle of hatred and torment for Yae, is done. Thank you so much, Alex Mustang." Said Kallen.

"Y-Yeah no problem. Uh, where am I by the way?" He asked.

"Don't worry. With the Herrscher defeated, the current world is being reset back to how it originally was. Before that Herrscher ever corrupted Yae." Said Kallen.

"I see. So then, what's all this about?" Asked Alex.

"This is, what I'd like to call an intermission. It's the wait period whenever the new world is being formed." She said.

"Okay then. Hey wait, where's Yae? Mei?"

"Mei's currently resting at the bottom of the hill. Only us three are here since we aren't naturally a part of this simulated world. You and Mei come from the outside/real world. As for me, I'm a wandering soul. A spirit, however now that my goal is defeating the Herrscher has been accomplished, I'll finally be able to return to my physical form and be alongside my beloved Yae again." Said Kellen with a small blush.

'I guess being gay is a Kaslana thing." Thought Alex to himself after taking notice of how Kallen referred to Yae and recounting the many, many times Kiana would just casually state out her undying love for Mei.

"Hey so, when the world resets, are any of y'all gonna remember all of this?" Asked Alex.

"Yae remember every single event of every reset during the Herrscher's control, so the chances are very likely. I'm sure you know where exactly to find us once the world resets." She said.

Alex chuckled, knowing exactly what Kallen was referring to during the last part of her sentence.

"Yeah okay got it. I'll see y'all there." He said.

With that, Alex went down the hill and saw Mei sitting down amongst a field of flowers just looking up at the moonlit night sky.

"Hey." He said once he stood and then sat next to her.

"A-Alex. How'd it go?" Asked Mei.

"Well, aside from a few bruises and possibly cracked ribs, I'm more or less fine. I took care of the Herrscher, though with help from her." He responded as he pointed up at the hill, referring to the help he got from Kallen.

"I see. Thank god you're safe." She said as she hugged him as Alex, a little confused, hugged her back.

"Right I've been meaning to ask, how did you get here? More importantly how did I get here in the first place? All I could remember was waking up in a forest that led to Yae's village. Nothing before that." He said.

"Oh. Well, yesterday you had went out for a walk in the city. As you did, you saw a Honkai Beast suddenly emerge and about to attack a civilian. You went in and protected the civilian, however as a cost the beast easily knocked you out cold and nearly bludgeoned you to death. Thankfully, one of our patrol Valkyries had come at the right time and took down the beast. You were immediately rushed to St. Freya's hospital. To allow your body to recover quickly, Theresa had hooked up your consciousness to this data space, splitting it from your body allowing it to heal on its it's own." Said Mei.

"Wow. Seems a lot happened that led me here. Sorry for putting y'all through that." He said.

"It's okay. Anyways, today after school me and Bronya had visited you when suddenly your health condition went into a critical state. Bronya had me put on a Homu Communicate Link Device that allowed me to enter the exact data space you were in." Said Mei.

"I see. Well, thanks for coming in and helping when you did." Said Alex.

"You're welcome. Once the world is done resetting, I'll contact Bronya to open the portal so we can head back home." Said Mei.

Alex nodded as the two sat there watching the sky, before Kallen stood behind them as a bright light shone ahead of them.

"Heads up you two. The new world is done resetting." Said Kallen as she took the pendant from Alex and placed it around her neck. "Remember Alex, you know where to find us."

Kallen then dispersed into the air as the light shone brighter.

Alex and Mei stood up, ready to see this new world, before the light eventually engulfed the entire area.

Alex and Mei were walking down a path after having woken up in a forest.

The two went in the direction of Yae's village and immediately noticed that the vibe and overall mood of the place was much more cheery than before.

After Mei had contacted Bronya to open the portal, in which the girl stated that it'd take a few minutes.

With that, Alex had told Mei that there was somewhere he wanted to go, which lead them to the path they were walking down now.

Eventually, they arrived amongst a large field of Sakura Flowers and sure enough, just up ahead was a Sakura Tree, with Yae, Rin, and Kallen eating Onigiri and having a picnic underneath the tree amongst the field of flowers.

Alex smiled as their promise to have a picnic was finally accomplished.

As he watched on, a portal opened behind them.

"Hm? Alex look. The exit portal's here. We can leave now. You, wanna say goodbye to them?" Asked Mei.

Alex took a moment to think about it, before sighing and shaking his head no.

"Nah leave them be. Yae's wanted this moment for so long. It's best to leave it be and not interrupt them." He said.

Mei nodded as she turned to face the portal.

"Alright then. Don't take too long." Said Mei as she walked through the portal.

Alex took a few minutes to fully take in all that had happened, before having a sigh of relief.

He turned to face the portal.

As he was about to leave, he heard footsteps approach him from behind as the boy turned to see that it was Yae.

The two didn't say any words before Yae hugged him, Alex hugging her back.

It lasted for a bit before they separated.

Then out of nowhere, Yae placed her hand under Alex's chin to raise his head as the girl suddenly kissed him on the forehead.

Alex immediately blushed out of embarrassment and shock.

The kiss only lasted a couple of seconds before Yae pulled away with a smile on her face.

"Thank you Alex, for everything." She said.

Alex kept quiet for a bit, placing a hand on the spot where Yae kissed him as he was still shocked as Yae giggled at the sight.

He got over it eventually before smiling and then speaking.

"You're welcome, Yae Sakura." Said Alex.

Those were the last words they said to each other, as Alex went through the portal, heading back to the real world and finally waking up.

Author's Closing Statement: And thus marks the end of Sakura Samsara.

Gotta say though this was a rather short story and easily the shortest story I've ever written by far, I gotta say I'm really proud of how this turned out.

So now what's next?

That's tough for me to figure out, especially with my new second account where I'll try to keep active between this and my that one.

Also apologies for not keeping up with Valkyries Escapades but I promise now that I'm done with Sakura Samsara, I'll get right back onto doing those requests.
