The sounds of trees rustling against the wind and birds chirping were faintly heard as a groan was heard.

On the ground in the middle of a forest, a boy slowly woke up, brushing himself off and standing up.

The boy was non other than Alex Mustang, a mercenary for hire that currently was stuck at St. Freya due to the agreed payment not being fulfilled yet.

Once Alex was fully conscious, he surveyed his surroundings and immediately began to question where he was or what the hell was even happening.

'Christ my head hurts. Where, the hell even am I? Last thing I was remember was walking the city, and then in the next second I was suddenly out like a light.' He thought to himself.

His train of thought was then halted as he hears the screams of person as out from the corner of his eye, he saw a man appear from out of the bushes but then immediately stumble onto the ground, dropping the wooden spear that was in his head.

Right as Alex was just about to question the man about what was wrong, a loud roar was heard as emerging from the forest was an extremely large bear, however this wasn't just any normal bear

The bear had menacing, glowing red eyes, vein like markings all over its body, and had ominous purple, wavy like arms extending out from its back.

'T-The hell kind of bear is that!? Is it even a bear!? With the aura it's giving off this is definitely a Honkai Beast. Whatever it is, it's definitely gotta go down.' Thought Alex as he brought a hand to his back to draw out his sword.

Only problem was that his sword suddenly wasn't there with him as the handle wasn't felt.

Alex immediately panicked, before immediately working with what was there and grabbed the wooden spear.

"This may be not what I'm used to but so be it. Let's go Pooh Bear!" Said the boy.

In an instant, the bear had one of its purple, wavy arms aim straight for Alex.

The boy used the wooden spear to block the incoming attack, and not surprisingly it easily snapped the wooden spear in half.

"God damm-!" Alex was then interrupted as the bear's wavy arms immediately wrapped around the boy's body, preventing him to struggling.

Try all he might, Alex was in a vice grip as the bear had another group of arms immediately wrap around Alex's neck and begin to choke the life out of him.

Alex quickly began to lose consciousness, as his vision slowly began to fade away.

Right before he was completely knocked out, Alex heard the faint sound of a sword slash and the bear roaring in pain as the tight constraints on his neck and body went away, as the boy fell unconscious as he fell to the ground.

Yet again, Alex slowly opened his eyes, vision coming back to him as once it did, he saw the face of a girl extremely close to his with her eyes closed.

Alex immediately recognized that they were about to touch lips so the boy immediately sprang up and backed away out of embarrassment as a blush spread across his face.

"W-Woah woah woah what the hell are you doing lady!?" He shouted.

The girl stood up revealing her appearance to Alex

"Well, at least you're awake now. You passed out and couldn't drink this herbal soup on your own volition so mouth to mouth was the only option." Blutnly said the pink haired girl, essentially admitting that she did kiss him which caused Alex to blush even more.

"Don't just go admitting to it! The hell is wrong with you!?" He asked again out loud.

"Either way, the herbal soup may be bitter but it'll definitely help you recover. Now then, would you like to take a bath? I'll help you out." Said the girl again with little self aware as to what she just said.

"H-Huh!? N-No I'm fine I don't help I'm not a kid!"

At this point, Alex was so embarrassed at his current predicament that he turned away to hide the extremely red blush on his face.

Once he had calmed down, he turned back around to see Yae with a hand to her face as she had a pained expression.

Before Alex could question what was wrong, a sudden female voice was heard behind the sliding doors.

"Milady Sakura, the meeting's about to begin." Said the female voice.

"Understood." Said the girl as she stood up.

"My apologies young sir but I have other matters to attend to. I'll leave the towel and the tub here for you. You may rest in the shrine once you're done bathing and I've prepared some food for you as well." She said as she turned to walk away, but not before turning back around and introducing herself.

"Oh right. My name's Yae Sakura. Who might you be?" She asked.

"Huh? O-Oh. Um, Alex. Alex Mustang." Said the boy.

"I see. Very well then Mister Alex. Please make yourself at home."

With that, Yae walked off leaving the boy on his own for the time being.

[Timeskip: A few minutes later]

Alex was currently walking along through the village as he held two decently sized Onigiri as he was currently eating one of them.

"Huh. This stuff is actually pretty good." He said to himself as he continued to tour the village.

'Seems like I woke up in some old styled Japanese Village. How or why did I even end up here though? Going from Soukai City to this random village just make no sense. God I hate missing puzzle pieces.' Thought the boy to himself before thinking back onto the encounter with the bear Honkai Beast.

'That beast though. It was the first time I was utterly wiped clean against a Honkai Beast. I'm pretty sure that even if I did have my sword, it'd still would've been able to take me down.' He thought before finally thinking about Yae.

'Then there's that fox eared girl.........' Alex trailed off in his thoughts as he remembered how soft her lips felt and overall how attractive she looked.

He blushed again before shrugging off those thoughts immediately.

"Hear me, boy with the dark hair."

Alex turned to where he heard that voice as he looked and saw a small tomb with Japanese Kanji on it, in front of a tree as Sakura Pedals encircled around it, as the boy saw a ghostly figure of another pink haired girl

"Please, help me. Please, release my sister from the painful memories that she's cursed with." Said the ghost girl.

"W-What? Hold on, who even are you?" Asked Alex as when he tried to approach her, the Sakura Pedals swirled even harder, getting between Alex and the girl causing the boy to back up a bit.

"Dear sir, only you, the one who's not of this world, can deliver her from eternal pain." Said the ghost girl.

Obviously this only made Alex even more confused however before he could question her again, the Sakura Pedals swirled around once again as the ghost girl vanished right in front of him.

Alex was just left there, extremely perplexed as he only had one thing on his mind.

"WHAT THE HELL IS EVEN GOING ON AROUND HERE!?"
