A week went by and Felix gave Adrien a device to watch every security footage of the palace to watch what Gabriel is planning to do next until the end of the month before Felix's coronation.

"Okay, this thing can be done remotely if I'm correct," Adrien said.

"Your cousin is too mischievous like he can't leave anyone's personal life alone," Plagg said.

"And my Dad controls private lives," Adrien said.

"He may control your life but he can't control Cat Noir" Plagg corrected him.

"Exactly Plagg" Adrien said and watched the footage of his father talking to the council about his plan for the kingdom and taking control of Felix like a puppet to keep the traditions of royalty the same instead of Felix making his own rules, "Your grand plan is going to fail," Adrien said.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah. Just go outside before you cataclysm something" Plagg said.

"Oh, yes" Adrien nods and swam out.

The shipwreck may be his home but it won't be long until the sharks come to live in it.

"Plagg! Claws out!" He transformed into Cat Noir.

"The crown has to be me. I just know it" Cat Noir swims to the cavern.

He looks around making sure no one's there, "Perfect" He swims up where the crown is.

He found it in the cavern and hopes that he was the right heir for the kingdom, "Here goes nothing" He reached for the crown.

But once he touched the crown, it suddenly got surrounded by a bright light. Cat Noir covers his eyes from the light as the crown morphs into something else. Once the light died down the crown has become a silver-colored trident.

"Whoa" He gasped and reached for the trident and grasps it, feeling its power through him, "The power of the sea course through me," He said quietly.

At the palace, Nathalie brought some bad news about someone who found the trident in plain sight and has already chosen the true heir.

"Sire, the trident has been found," She said to Gabriel.

"WHAT?!" Gabriel roared.

"We don't know who it was," Nathalie said.

"All these years we tried to search for it and now someone has found it?!" Gabriel said with rage.

Felix heard everything and smirked that he guessed his cousin has found it, "I knew you would finally find it" He thought.

"Whoever it is, that trident belongs to me! Find who it is and kill him!" Gabriel demanded.

"Yes sire," Nathalie said in reluctance.

"No good" Felix swam away.

With Ladybug, she was out patrolling on her own. She was looking for Cat Noir in the shipwreck area but could not find him.

"Here kitty, kitty, kitty! Where are you?" She called for him.

She then swam into one shipwreck of a galleon, "Kitty? Are you here?" Ladybug called.

Cat Noir heard her calls and hides the trident, "I'm here, Bugaboo" He showed himself.

"There you are. What were you doing?" Ladybug asked.

"I got quite busy" Cat Noir made a small lie.

"Playing with kitty cats on the surface again? My, you make such a lovely mother to them" Ladybug teased him.

"Or Daddy to them" He corrected.

"Ha ha," Ladybug laughed sarcastically.

"Anyways, is there any trouble in the city? I could use some mice snack" Cat Noir twirled around her.

"Well, there have been reports of a trident found," Ladybug said.

"What?" Cat Noir exclaimed but pretends to not know.

"Yes, someone of royal blood I guess," Ladybug said.

"Maybe it's him," Cat Noir said nervously.

"Possibly, Kitty" Ladybug said.

"So there could be a chance he can confront his father if possible. How are the people doing?" Cat Noir asked.

"They are thrilled to know who it is," Ladybug said.

"I see. If it's our favorite prince, maybe he just needs some time to confront his father" Cat Noir said.

Felix was happy that it's gotta be his cousin and his uncle is becoming insane for power every time he forces him to obey.

"Any moment now he'll face his removal from the throne," Felix said confidently about his uncle.

"Your Highness, your uncle wishes to see you," Nathalie said.

"I'm coming" Felix swims to meet his uncle, "What is it, Uncle?" Felix asked.

"Tell me the truth! Did you find that trident?! ANSWER ME!!" Gabriel was starting to go insane.

"No sir! I never left the palace!" Felix replied.

"If you're lying, you'll be locked in the dungeon, boy!" Gabriel said.

"I'm not! I have barely left the palace!" Felix protested.

"Guards! LOCK HIM UP!" Gabriel ignored him and the guards grab Felix.

"HEY! Get your hands off me!" Felix struggled.

"Make sure he doesn't escape" Gabriel coldly said, "Guards, I want you all to search the city for the trident! That's an order!" Gabriel said.

"Yes sire" They went out of the palace while Felix struggled as he was taken away.

"This is madness! OUTRAGE!" Felix screamed.

Adrien saw everything from his device. His father has gone insane because of someone who is the rightful heir of the trident.

"By Neptune's trident!" Adrien exclaims.

"Is he out of his mind?" Plagg asked.

"Clearly he is," Adrien said.

"We got to do something, Adrien" Plagg said.

"Let's go see Ladybug. Plagg claws out!" He transformed.

He can't believe his father would do something out of madness. He had to find Ladybug and fast before the city is in misery.

Ladybug was at some building seeing the guards search through the city, "This is no good, soldiers are ransacking to find their heir and the trident" Ladybug said.

"Milady? You heard too?" Cat Noir asked.

"Yeah, the king has seen the glow from his palace," Ladybug said.

"God almighty!" Cat Noir saw every guard roaming everywhere.

"This is getting bad, Kitty," Ladybug said.

"I don't like this but come with me" Cat Noir knew this day would come and he has to reveal his secret to his lady.

Ladybug followed Cat Noir to the shipwreck where he lives at as Adrien, "What is it?" Ladybug asked.

"Claws in" He detransformed to reveal himself as the missing prince.

"Prince Adrien?!" Ladybug gasps.

"Yup, I've been the cat the entire time," Adrien said.

"All this time I had a real prince as my partner!" Ladybug was shocked.

"Uh, meow?" Adrien meowed shyly.

"It's quite a shock to see who you really are, Adrien," Ladybug said.

"Yeah, because I had to hide myself. I'm too young and weak to stand up against my father. He was gonna use me to ensure the traditions and the rules remain the same" Adrien explained.

"You are your own man. Adrien, Cat Noir or not, you're strong in spirit" Ladybug said.

"Thank you, milady," Adrien said.
