The city was in misery by the order of King Gabriel. It was very chaotic to see him insane for power. Everyone was in shackles.

"Our king has gone mad, Princess" Cat Noir said.

"Yeah. He's never like this. Why would he want the trident so badly?" Ladybug asked.

"Perhaps so he can be the sole wielder of it," Cat Noir said.

"Very likely," Ladybug said.

"Or something else," Cat Noir said.

The two heroes silently sneak past the soldiers. Cat Noir needs to have the courage to dethrone his father before he destroys the beloved kingdom out of madness.

"We need to act quick, Bugaboo, before he completely loses it," Cat Noir said.

"We need to get inside the palace," Ladybug said.

Cat Noir held his trident tightly, breathing calmly to put on a brave face.

"Okay I'll distract the guards, you'll go to your old man," Ladybug said.

"And don't die, milady," Cat Noir said.

"I'm counting on you" Ladybug kissed his cheek.

"Good luck, Bugaboo" Cat Noir said while Ladybug went to distract the guards.

His cat ears picked up a faint noise coming from the dungeons. He swims there and sees Felix chained to the floor.

"Felix?" Cat Noir used cataclysm on dungeon doors.

"Adrien?" Felix saw him, "Uncle has completely lost it after finding out about the trident"

"I know and I'm gonna put an end to his madness" Cat Noir breaks the shackles to free his cousin.

"Thanks. Let's stop him now before he destroys the kingdom" Felix said.

"Yes. Before he causes more misery" Cat Noir said and swam out with him.

"The reason he wants that trident is to bring your mom back. But I know that's now how it works" Felix explained.

"She's not gonna like it for what Dad has done," Cat Noir said.

"Exactly my point. She'll suffer more to be alive with a madman" Felix said.

They soon saw Ladybug taking down some of the guards one by one, "Good girl, Bugaboo" Cat Noir said.

"Thanks, Kitty. And is that Prince Felix?" Ladybug noticed Felix.

"Yes. Can you please kick my uncle's ass for me? He has gone way too far by putting me in the dungeon" Felix rolled his eyes in annoyance.

"Alright, get to safety, Felix. Milady and I will deal with him" Cat Noir said.

"And do not show compassion. He doesn't deserve to be forgiven" Felix said before swimming away.

"Got it" Cat Noir nods.

"Come Kitty" Ladybug swam with him.

"My father is so gonna regret being selfish to the entire kingdom" Cat Noir growled.

"He's unworthy of the crown," Ladybug said.

"It's time he hands the crown to me," Cat Noir said.

Once they arrived at the tower, the throne room was empty, "He's not here" Ladybug said.

"He's still here" Cat Noir can smell his scent through the water.

"Welcome heroes. I've been waiting for you" Gabriel said as he showed himself.

"This ends now, Gabriel. Your madness is destroying everything!" Cat Noir held the trident.

"How can you wield the trident, Cat Noir?!" Gabriel was puzzled by how Cat Noir could wield it.

"Hmm....let's see. Who is the descendant right now of royal blood?" Cat Noir scowled.

"Adrien?!" Gabriel realized.

"Yes. Ever since Mom died, you abandoned your title as father! The only thing you seek is glory for yourself by winning off the backs of my people I care about the most!" Cat Noir scowled.

"And now you're keeping our people imprisoned!" Ladybug added.

"That was part of getting the trident here! Now hand it over!" Gabriel demanded.

"No, you'll destroy the balance of life! Mom would be scared and angry if something happened like that!" Cat Noir hissed.

"Cat Noir's right!" Ladybug said.

"All I ever want is to revive my wife!" Gabriel had enough of this.

"She'll wake up in a world you've ruled with an iron fist! She's gonna hate you for it!" Cat Noir shouted.

"I am your father and I order you to give me the trident!" Gabriel yelled.

"Come and get it!" Cat Noir dared him.

Gabriel swam towards him and tries to grab the trident from him. Cat Noir swims out the window, luring him out so people can see the rightful heir. Everyone in shackles cheered at the heir holding the trident.

"GO CAT NOIR!" They cheered.

"Cat Noir!" Ladybug swam after them.

"GIVE IT TO ME NOW!!!" Gabriel yelled.

"NEVER!" Cat Noir grips it hard and it glowed.

The trident sparked and he fires at his father. But he dodged it and the blast hit the rocks.

"Cat Noir! Cat Noir! Cat Noir!" The people cheered for him to dethrone King Gabriel once and for all.

"You're not worthy of wielding it, father!" Cat Noir said.

"You are a disgrace to betray me!" Gabriel yelled.

"I'm nothing like you! Your obsession and madness made you what you are!" Cat Noir fought him, "What kind of father pressures me to be king by controlling me like a puppet?!"

"You have to follow the way of Agrestes!" Gabriel replied.

"I don't care about old rules! I make my own, not yours! Traditions change over time and you are living in the past!" Cat Noir whacked him with his tail.

"Agh!" Gabriel was sent against the building, "GUARDS!! Arrest him!!"

The guards did nothing as they freed the people, having enough of Gabriel's demands and abuse. They now see that the feline is worthy of royalty and that he holds the trident.

"I SAID ARREST HIM!!!!" Gabriel roared but they did not obey him this time.

They all sided with the feline, "Guards, arrest that traitor!" Cat Noir ordered them.

"Hey, What are you doing?! Get your hands off me! You can't arrest me!" Gabriel protested as he was taken away.

"Guards, remove his crown. King Gabriel, for your abuse of power, you are sentenced to life in prison. Boys, make sure you put shackles on him but also feed him food" Cat Noir said.

"You'll regret this, Noir! You hear me!" Gabriel yelled as Cat Noir took the crown.

"Forgive us. He has threatened our families if we don't do as he says" The captain said.

"I do forgive you. Take him away" Cat Noir said.
