| A few weeks later...

A couple of weeks had gone by since the prologue and the very first episode had officially been released, and needless to say, the nerves inside the studio that day had been sky high— and admittedly they just might've remained that way for a week or so after as well.

Much to your grateful surprise, the response had been incredibly positive so far, and much like your other webcomic which started your career, this new series also ended up taking off and gaining a big reading base in a very short time, quickly making its way onto the top ranking webcomic board this month

The intriguing storyline of the magical world, which also included hints towards an enemies to lovers trope between two male university students, combined with the fact that this webcomic was marked for a more mature audience as you had planned on challenging yourself with some more uncensored intimate scenes later on, really caught the interest of the public, and it was safe to say by now that everyone was anticipating the chapters to come

Everyone except the writer himself, as yet another scrapped episode plan ended up in the bin, shortly followed by a soft groan as you ran your fingers through your hair, eyes now staring at the once again blank page in front of you in utter defeat

Meanwhile, your friends briefly glanced up from the work they were doing on their monitors, eyeing their best friend with sympathy as they knew what that groan meant

Yoongi: Another scrapped episode Gguks?

You tore your gaze away from the monitor as you took off your blue light glasses, rubbing your eyes as a soft pout was present on your lips, nodding weakly as a response to his question whilst you fidgeted with the pen in your hands

Jungkook: I just think it could be better, I could-... I should do better, but at this point, I don't even know if I can hyung...

Hoseok: Hey don't be too hard on yourself now, what you make is more than amazing, and I bet all of those scrapped ideas were potential masterpieces of their own, give yourself the benefit of the doubt Gguk

A sigh left your lips as you flashed him a soft smile before shrugging lightly, knowing there might've been a glint of truth in his words, yet you couldn't help but doubt yourself because after all, what if you end up disappointing those who so enthusiastically support you?

Just then, the sound of the office door opening was heard as the newest member of your team walked in with a cheerful smile on his lips, having just returned from his late lunch break, earning a relieved sigh from Jimin as he looked over at him whilst speaking up

Jimin: Oh perfect timing Taehyung-sshi, could you please go whack some sense into our dear writer here?

This earned a warm and deep chuckle out of the mentioned male as he hung up his coat before calmly heading over to your side, probably already having been able to somewhat guess just what the problem might be

Taehyung: And why's that needed? Is a certain someone being too harsh on himself again?

You whined softly as he reached down and gently ruffled your hair, making you roll your eyes lightly as you muttered out a "Hey I'm still your boss, don't treat me like a kid"

Though that only earned yet another chuckle out of him as he simply just rolled his chair over to your side before taking a seat, glancing at the blank page you currently had up and then glanced back over at you with an all too knowing look on his face

Taehyung: Here again I see? Thankfully I came back before you emptied the bin, mind if I have a look at its content?

Jungkook: Do whatever you want I guess, you're not gonna find anything that's of actual use in there anyway...

The male calmly grabbed onto your chair and scooted you over to the side, mumbling out a ''We'll see about that'' before beginning to get to work as he skimmed through all the drafts you had made while he was gone, humming as he snickered softly, only earning yet another somewhat embarrassed whine out of you as you crossed your arms defensively

Jungkook: Don't laugh! I already told you they're not worth anything, why waste your time looking through those?

Taehyung: Jungkook-sshi do you not realize you have the perfect base for 3 new episodes right here?

He calmly began to mark out which sections he meant onto a new blank page, bringing forth the separate episode ideas out of what you had thought to be entirely failed drafts

This made you widen your eyes slightly from slight disbelief, as all he did was some minor rearrangements with what you already had written down, yet he managed to magically find the potential for three new chapters instead of the singular one which you had been so strictly focused on

You blinked dumbfoundedly as you looked up at the male by your side, lips slightly parted in awe as you huffed softly whilst scanning through the plans he had sorted out for you so easily

Jungkook: Just how did you manage to-... Rather, how did I previously manage to get any work done without you?

He shook his head and chuckled whilst flicking your chin upwards playfully, shutting the little distance between your parted lips as he leaned back in his seat feeling content by what he's just done

Taehyung: You manage perfectly well without me Jungkook-sshi, after all this is still your doing, you just needed a small reassuring nudge out of your own self critical bubble

A very soft giggle automatically bubbled out of your chest as he patted your head encouragingly, making you cross your arms as you cocked your head lightly to the side whilst looking up at him

Jungkook: Thank you Taehyung-sshi, but hey now, what did I tell you earlier. I'm still your boss, not a kid ya know?

Taehyung: Copy that boss, so what shall I do for you next? Prepare the meeting room for your afternoon nap, or perhaps you'd like your favorite caffeine drink in a sippy cup?~

You widened your eyes and let out a warm more audible giggle this time at his playful and clearly teasing propositions, nudging his arm as you uttered out a "Hey, come on now you-!" which only made him laugh more warmly

The playful moment was soon interrupted by your hyungs who fondly had been watching their boss and his assistant joke around, finally speaking up as they laughed at you two of you

Yoongi: Jungkook-ah with all due respect, Tae seems more like a boss here than you right now dummy

A playful and dramatic gasp left your lips as you looked over at him, pretendign to act offended as you bit back a giggle, all whilst your friends already couldn't contain their giggles hearing the somewhat accurate callout coming from Yoongi

Jungkook: How dare you— It really seems not even a day can go by in this office where I am not disrespected!

Jimin: We've told you this before Ggukie, thats what you get for working with your best friends!

Taehyung eventually got up from his seat and scooted your own chair closer to your drawing tablet and monitor before giving your shoulders an encouraging pat, a soft chuckle leaving his lips as he looked down at you whilst speaking

Taehyung: Alright now, our dear writer should get back to work now, so while you get started might I interest you in a cup of coffee to boost your energy?

You hummed softly as the tempting offer he made was far too good to pass on

Jungkook: Well if you would be so kind then I would be grateful

He nodded and ruffled your hair once last time, earning a soft groan from you as you had just managed to fix them mess he had made earlier, nonetheless you watched as he happily began to walk off to go make the coffee for you

Not without oh so generously offering to pick up your hyungs coffee orders while he was at it of course, a typical warm hearted move from the older which just indeniably made him all the more admirable

There's no doubt he fit in here perfectly, as he really felt like that missing puzzle piece your team had needed all this time.
