A content sigh left your lips as you comfortably allowed your head to against Taehyungs chest, having yet to make any efforts in moving away from your current position seated on his lap; instead enjoying the feeling of his warm hands soothingly rubbing circles on your back whilst you listened to the comforting sound of his steady heartbeat— both of you occasionally giggling softly amongst yourselves while letting the fact that you're finally dating really settle in

Though the moment was soon interrupted when both of your phones began to go off with a multitude of message notifications, nearly earning a displeased whine out of you whilst you poutily grabbed ahold of your phone to see what the fuzz was about— soon learning that the two of you had been added into a group chat which was all too familiar, the very first message stating:

Immediately upon having finished reading the message, Taehyung couldn't help but let a breathy chuckle emit past his lips before he mumbled out to himself

Taehyung: They sure seem to love these gatherings huh? Stubbornly never gave up sending us the invite either...

You curiously let your gaze travel back up to the olders eyes while humming softly; recalling that one time the two of you briefly had brushed upon the topic of these gatherings quite a while back

Jungkook: Come to think of it... I remember you said you attended once, but did you ever mention a reason why you stopped going to these gatherings?

A soft hum left his lips while one of his hands reached up to ever so tenderly caress your cheek— the sudden question making a faint blush appear on the olders cheeks as his lips formed a shy grin

Taehyung: Oh that? You're right, I was never able to actually go into the details about that back then...

Jungkook: So... Was there a particular reason as to why you stopped going— like did something happen or?

He appeared to be fighting the urge to chuckle at the worried expression that pulled on your features before reassuringly shaking his head as a ''no''

Taehyung: You're gonna think my reasoning here is so cheesy but—... Basically, you were the only reason I even attempted to attend one of these, though since you obviously weren't there I gave up the hope that you'd ever attend any other event and therefore saw no reason to go again

For a moment you couldn't help but dumbfoundedly blink at his endearing confession, before a string of amused giggles left your lips whilst you cupped the olders cheeks lovingly— fighting the urge to kiss the subtle pout forming on his lips as you spoke up in a playful and subtly teasing manner

Jungkook: Oh so you gave up on finding me again that quickly hm? What if I just happened to be sick that one time and couldn't attend because of that?

His eyes widened in a sense of mild panic as his protective grip on your waist tightened slightly, clearly feeling a bit defensive when he swiftly spoke up in denial of your playful accusation

Taehyung: N-No I didn't easily give up the hope of finding you—! I just gave up the hope of specifically seeing you at these types of events after asking Kim Woobin about you... He said that you never attend any type of class gatherings, so I just—

In order to halt his panicked rambles, you leaned in and placed an innocent kiss on his lips before flashing him a sweet and reassuring smile, evidently leaving the older momentarily frozen from slight surprise

Jungkook: I was only joking hyungie, I know you didn't give up easily. Also what he said was true, I never attended any of them— though I have the urge to change that...

An intrigued hum left his lips before he leaned in for another not-as-innocent kiss, pulling you closer to himself which instantly earned a slightly hitched breath out of you as you squirmed subtly in his lap, feeling how your heartbeat began to quicken at the close proximity

Taehyung: Oh is that so petal?

Jungkook: M-mhm... I want to go this time, t-together?

The older let a breathy chuckle emit past his lips as he snuggled himself into the crook of your neck; placing a couple of innocent kisses onto your sensitive skin whilst letting his hands trail under your shirt and settle onto the bare skin of your waist, whispering out an approving ''If it's with you, then I'd love to go Jungkook-ah''— immediately making a timid smile spread on your lips as you yet again let your head rest against his chest

Though after a while longer of cuddling in your current position, Taehyung glanced at the time on his phone before uttering out a gentle ''It's getting late, let me drive us home petal'' as he attempted to carefully move you off of his lap, however, this immediately earned a soft squeak out of you as you buried yourself further into his chest whilst shaking your head— attempting to hide the evident blush painting your cheeks as you piped out a flustered ''H-hold on a minute...''; making the older frown slightly in confusion

Taehyung: What's wrong petal?

Jungkook: N-nothing... let's just stay like this for a little bit

It wasn't long before a knowing smirk began to tug at Taehyungs lips as he looked down at you; purposely moving slightly in his seat which automatically made you flinch as your breath unwillingly hitched— serving as an obvious tell-tale and confirmation of your sudden 'problem' which embarrassingly had appeared as a result of the olders actions a few minutes ago

Taehyung: Oh Jungkook-ah, are you—

Jungkook: —n-no shut up, this is just... I'm just—

A breathy chuckle left Taehyungs lips as he used his index finger to gently raise your chin, uttering out a low and questioning ''A bit pent up?'' to which you slowly nodded in a shameful defeat— feeling ashamed that such seemingly minor acts of intimacy from the older had managed to get you all riled up like this

Taehyung's smirk grew slightly as he slowly leaned forward and rested his head against your shoulder, whispering out a low ''Fuck, you're so adorable...''; only making the flustered blush on your cheeks grow a shade darker while a subtle pout appeared on your lips, voice coming out as a soft whine when you spoke to him

Jungkook: It's not adorable, it's embarrassing...

This earned a scolding look from the older whom raised his head yet again to look into your eyes whilst shaking his head, one of his hands casually resting on your thigh which he gently massaged whilst the other hand trailed under your shirt to let his cold fingertips grace your back— the sensations earning a soft whimper out of you as you yet again buried your face into his chest

Taehyung: Nothing about this is embarrassing petal... Not to mention— I'm your lover Jungkook-ah, I'm here for you.

He then proceeded to lean in closer to your ear before whispering out a purposely teasing ''I could even help you out right here if you so wanted to'', instantly earning a flusteredly piped out ''Not happening, y-you're insane hyung'' which made him chuckle warmly as he caressed your hair lovingly

Taehyung: Well I'd do insane things for you dear, though I would never do something you're not comfortable with. Nonetheless, my point is— I'm here for you Jungkook-ah, so please don't ever feel embarrassed about something like this

You slowly raised your head to look into his eyes which held so much sincerity, and so you hesitantly tugged at the fabric of his shirt before finally whispering out a faint request

Jungkook: ... So if I told you that I didn't want to go home tonight hyung— w-would you let me stay with you?

Taehyung: In a heartbeat.
