One could practically hear a pin drop inside the room right now as you all were gathered around the meeting rooms table once again; Taehyung and you silently sitting side by side while Yoongi and Jimin were eyeing the both of you from across the table in a mixture of utter bafflement and slight disbelief, evidently still attempting to comprehend just what it was that they accidentally had witnessed upon stepping into the office a few moments ago— the takeaway food which they had brought back with them now long forgotten and most definitely gone cold.

Hoseok on the other hand whom already had figured out this little secret of yours a while back, tried his best to contain his amused chuckles whilst calmly leaning back in his seat at the end of the table; a knowing grin tugging at his lips while he quietly watched the rest of you

After a while, Yoongi was the first one to break the semi-awkward silence as he seemed to think for a moment before hesitantly uttering out a ''This is not the first time that has happened, is it?''— to which both you and Taehyung wordlessly nodded slowly in confirmation before he proceeded to follow up his previous guess with a puzzled and questioning ''... and have you two done more than kissing?''— eventually earning another wordless and sheepish nod from the Taehyung and you, which then led to yet another unreadable silence momentarily filling the room while the two of them seemed to be busy letting it all sink in

A quiet giggle nearly escaped past your lips while you slowly leaned in closer to Taehyung, whispering out a soft ''Why does it feel like we're being interrogated right now, hyung''; to which the older eyed your friends cautiously before whispering back a low yet somewhat amused ''...I think we are?'', immediately making Jimin hit the tables surface out of frustration as he simultaneously opened his mouth to say something— only to quietly wince at the unexpectedly painful impact before pulling himself together and grumbling out a stern response

Jimin: That's because you are! Now tell us, how long has this been going on?

Both you and Taehyung blinked dumbfoundedly before sharing uncertain glances with each other, both yet again having to resist the urge to chuckle slightly as the older slowly leaned in again before whispering out an uncertain ''Are we supposed to tell them when it actually started, or when we began this thing?''; only making Jimins look of sheer disbelief and mild betrayal grow greater

Jimin: Oh my god— Jeon Jungkook, Kim Taehyung!— Is this friendship a joke to you two?!

You couldn't help but sheepishly giggle whilst slightly covering your mouth area; hoping it would help hide the flustered blush which was dusting over your cheeks right now whilst trying to defend yourself in front of your best friends

Jungkook: Okay but I was gonna mention it eventually—

Jimin: —mhm right, and when is this "eventually"? When you're celebrating your 5th wedding anniversary?!

Both Taehyung and you ended up bursting into another shared fit of soft giggles upon hearing Jimins over-exaggerated words; automatically leaning against each other slightly while trying to silence yourselves as Jimin mumbled out a sulky ''You guys are unbelievable... How could you not tell your best friends that you started dating each other?'' while crossing his arms— so you shrugged calmly before speaking up in a factual manner

Jungkook: Well to be fair we're not dating yet so—

This immediately made Jimin shoot Taehyung a threatening glare while swiftly grabbing ahold of the closest item to himself— which just so happened to be a pencil case that he threateningly began to wave towards Taehyungs direction while scoldingly raising his voice at him; instantly making the olders chuckles nervously die down

Jimin: Yah Kim Taehyung! How dare you sleep with our precious Ggukie but not date him— you little shit come here!

A surprised gasp left your lips as Jimin suddenly scurried out of his seat and began chasing a mildly panicked Taehyung around the meeting room, earning amused chuckles out of Yoongi and Hoseok whom merely watched while Taehyung tried to explain himself to the playfully furious other

Taehyung: No wait Jimin-sshi— hold on a sec I can explain—

Despite knowing Jimin never actually would hit or throw something at him, you still got up and protectively shielded Taehyung from any further attack attempts meanwhile Yoongi proceeded to calm Jimin while also convincing him to sit back down; though once they were sat back down, Yoongi still made sure to flash Taehyung a scolding glare of disapproval as he grumbled out a stern warning towards him

Yoongi: You better take care of our Ggukie Taehyung-sshi, if you dare hurt him then I—

However, before he was able to complete his attempt in threatening Taehyung, the older suddenly stepped up from behind your previously shielding stance; his voice coming off as calm yet also determined and reassuring when he spoke up

Taehyung: That won't happen. Listen, I know you're all— well all except Hoseok, confused and worried about this situation, but I can assure you both I would never intentionally hurt someone whom I deeply care for.

Your doe eyes widened slightly in admiration while glancing up at the older, seeing how determined he looked while talking to the rest— his choice of words making your heart flutter joyfully, and they evidently also seemed to have had an impact on the rest whom now quietly listened while he continued on

Taehyung: As Jungkook-ah said, it's true that we're not dating yet— however, I genuinely do have sincere feelings for him, feelings which I've honestly had ever since our Uni days with the only difference that they've grown stronger.

Yoongi: If that's true, then why are you not dating yet?

A puzzled frown painted over Yoongi's expression while Jimin reached across the table to gently hit your arm, uttering out a scolding ''Exactly Gguk, why aren't you? Taehyung is a great man in every way— isn't he literally your ideal type and above?''— earning a soft giggle out of you as you tilted your head at him, finding his change of attitude towards the older very amusing

Hoseok: Wait hold on, Jimin-ah weren't you just against Taehyung—

Jimin: Hush, we all know I was never actually against them— someone has to be protective of our precious Ggukie though! Now Jeon Jungkook, speak.

You rolled your eyes at him before humming softly, once again admiringly glancing up at the older whom already was looking right back down at you just as fondly— his hand reaching over to rub your back encouragingly while you spoke

Jungkook: Well first off, this thing between us started back when I was struggling with those scenes, and well... Taehyung helped me with some uh...—

Taehyung: —research purposes, wasn't it petal?

A faint crimson spread across your cheeks at Taehyungs teasing comment, so you gently nudged his side whilst whispering out a flustered ''Yes, but shut up hyung...'' before continuing with your explanation

Jungkook: A-anyway... It was only fairly recently that we actually discovered each other's feelings for each other, so we haven't gotten to that stage yet

Taehyung nodded in confirmation, though his hand which previously had been caressing your back now smoothly slid around your waist as he pulled you in closer to himself— the sight making your friends bite back their bright smiles as they silently listened to him followed up your explanation with a clarifying statement

Taehyung: We'll be going on our first official date in the near future, and who knows, when the right time comes maybe I'll be lucky enough to upgrade to a boyfriend title

The older then gently flicked your chin upwards as he let out a gentle ''If you'll allow me, that is'', making your nose cutely scrunch up at the gesture while you hummed softly— acting like you had to think about it before whispering back a playful ''We'll see''; though you both silently longed for that day, hoping it would arrive soon.

By now it seemed like your friends had had enough of the gooey mood which begun to develop yet again between you both, so they all wordlessly glanced at each other with shared looks of playful disgust before one by one beginning to exit the meeting room— not without throwing out the playfully teasing remarks such as ''Please spare our eyes from another office makeout session thanks'' and ''And on that note, back to work lovebirds!'' towards you two

Taehyung: ...Another office makeout session does sound nice though, doesn't it?

Before the older could make any moves to pull you in closer, you skillfully slithered out of his comforting embrace and shook your head; poking his chest playfully while you reminded him of your best friends clever words

Jungkook: Nu-uh mister, you heard what Hoseok said, let's get back to work dummy...

Though as you began walking past the older, you swiftly leaned up to place a quick peck onto his cheek— immediately making the playful pout that briefly had appeared on Taehyungs lips immediately disappear and instead get replaced by a warm smile as he nodded and obediently followed you out as well
