Days- or more accurately weeks had gone by since the announcement about hiring a creative assistant had been put up, yet to no avail, as barely anyone had applied for the job

More specifically, no one with any sort of qualification, proper interest, or good intent for that matter, applied for the position so far.

Those who did apply consisted of a rather-... odd variety of what turned out to be fans, treating the interview more like a meet&greet, asking an uncalled-for amount of questions completely unrelated to the job as they were clearly hoping to score some secret spoilers for your future plans, and to add the cherry on top of it all they, of course, didn't leave until they received an autograph

Then there were also those who came to the interview, completely lacking even basic skill and knowledge within the field, nor actual care for that matter, essentially just looking for some ''easy'' money which was far from what this job actually was.

Of course, you could've considered hiring someone even if they lacked skill within the field, just as long as they had the interest to learn. However, seeing how no one so far even had any interest, there was just no point in creating more work for yourself by becoming a teacher towards someone unwilling to learn.

A tired sigh left your lips as you leaned back in your seat and downed the last bits of the now cold coffee in your cup, critically eyeing the basic story and character draft whilst humming to yourself

Even though you had no help as of yet, you certainly hadn't let the creative block of doom entirely stop you, as you still managed to somewhat push through and complete the very basic story & characters draft which you could share with your hyungs

Which was precisely what you currently found yourself doing as you busied yourself forming an email to send out to your team, though when there was a gentle knock on the office door, you uttered out a concentrated "Come in", hearing the door slowly creak open as you pressed send on your email

Finally tearing your gaze away from your computer as you eyed the curious male stood at the doorway, dressed in a neat suit as he bowed respectfully whilst flashing you a light smile, presumably yet another lost intern for the marketing firm one floor up from yours

Jungkook: Hello, if you're looking for the SF marketing firm then you need to head to the floor above this one!

Though the male raised his eyebrows slightly as he looked around in confusion once more, a deep yet hesitant chuckle leaving his lips as he shook his head

Taehyung: Oh no, I'm actually here for the job interview regarding the creative assistant position... Is this not the office for Golden Closet Studios?

Your eyes widened as you yelped out an "Oh!" whilst instantly standing up from your seat, bowing lightly as you mentally cursed yourself out for accidentally letting such an important matter sip your mind

Jungkook: Right, that interview! Welcome, I'm Jeon Jungkook, founder and main writer here at GC Studios.

Taehyung: Kim Taehyung, pleasure to meet you Mr.Jeon, and thank you for agreeing to schedule this interview on such a short notice!

A sheepish smile painted your lips as you shook hands before gesturing towards the chair in front of your desk, uttering out a quick "Please have a seat" whilst you headed over to the little coffee station inside the office

Needless to say, this really served as a reminder of the need to fix your bad habit, consisting of replying to important emails when you're severely sleep-deprived and relying on an unhealthy amount of caffeine in your system

Once he walked over and got seated, you calmly glanced over at him as you refilled your own cup of coffee whilst speaking up

Jungkook: Could I get you anything before we get started? Coffee, tea, water?

Taehyung: Oh, a cup of coffee would be nice, thank you Mr.Jeon!

A hum left your lips as you nodded in acknowledgment, preparing an additional cup of coffee before bringing them back over back to your desk, placing the other cup in front of the male as you sat back down, scurrying to bring up the CV he had sent you via email earlier as you spoke

Jungkook: So Taehyung-sshi, what brought you to apply for this position?

Your eyes trailed over to his CV to briefly refresh your memory on his education and work experience details as he began to speak, expecting this interview to go somewhat similarly to all the others ones before, though you were surprised to find out the man in front of you was a graduate from one of the top combined arts schools in the whole country

Even more particularly, he was an alumnus of yours.

Taehyung: Well I have always loved various forms of art, and you could definitely say it's been a dream of mine to work within this industry. I ended up earning a lot of valuable experience during my internship at ForeverMore Publishers, which I think could be of value if you decided to hire me for this position. Oh right, I also took creative arts 1-3 as an extra course in Uni, so I would not have any issues working on both the writing and illustrative tasks for this job!

To say you were shocked would be a severe understatement, the man in front of you was practically overqualified for this position rather than underqualified, just why would he apply for a job here when he could easily get a job at a much bigger company within this field?

Nonetheless, you proceeded with a couple more of the basic interview questions you had for him before moving on to one final test, making him proceed to try and complete what a basic webcomic draft scene looks like, essentially serving as a test to see his ability on the illustrative side of things

And once he signaled he was done, you took a look at the completed scene and widened your eyes in amusement, one would've easily mistaken the man for someone who had been on the team for a good while now, as he managed to do a perfect job finishing it up

A soft hum left your lips as you nodded in approval, proceeding to brief him of the job description and salary once more before leaning back in your seat as you looked up at him

Jungkook: Alright well, do you have any questions regarding anything I just listed?

He shook his head slowly as he looked at you attentively, blinking in anticipation whilst he spoke

Taehyung: No sir, everything sounds good to me

You couldn't help but smile as you then proceeded to stand up from your seat, reaching your hand out towards him as you looked into his eyes, feeling certain of your decision

Jungkook: If that's all, then I would like to welcome you to the Golden Closet Studios team, Kim Taehyung-sshi... If you're still up for it?

To which the male instantly returned your warm smile as he shot up from his seat, eyes lighting up whilst he happily reached out and shook your hand

Taehyung: I'd be more than happy to do so, thank you Mr.Jeon. I look forward to working with you from now on!

A soft giggle left your lips as you nodded in agreement, uttering out a bright ''Likewise'' before clearing your throat as you gently reached over and patted his shoulder encouragingly

Jungkook: Also please feel free to call me Jungkook, our office is very laid back so Mr.Jeon feels a tad bit too formal

He bit back a smile as he nodded understandingly, proceeding to correct himself as he looked down at you

Taehyung: I see, then allow me to correct myself... I look forward to working together, Jungkook-sshi.
