Time was ticking at a pace far too fast for your own liking, and with every day that passed the more pressure only seemed to double as it weighed down your shoulders, unable to escape the dreadful possibility of letting everyone down in the end

But it's not like you weren't trying, in fact, you often found yourself spending multiple unhealthy all-nighters once again, just trying your best to get those scenes right, however, they all just ended up meeting the same fate in the end, as they one by one got thrown into the bin of failure

Whatever you tried it just didn't look or feel right; as the illustrations ended up feeling awkward, tense, and unnatural seemingly no matter how many times you attempted to redraw them, meaning you really had made no progress whatsoever

If all went according to plan— which you seriously doubt it will. Then those very scenes should be published within 3 episodes from now on, and that may sound like there's plenty of time to some people, but the reality is that it truly was anything but that, naturally only making your worries grow greater

Jungkook: Hah... Should I really just give up?

The sudden sound of the doorbell snapped you out of your train of thoughts, and you glanced over at the time before swiftly turning off your computer and drawing tablet, scurrying out of your little at-home office as you realized you had completely managed to lose track of time, and the doorbell just now had served as a very late reminder that Taehyung was supposed to come over today, as the both of you had made plans earlier to cook dinner together again

On your way to the door however, your eyes happened to catch a glimpse of a very certain untouched box on full display, which you instantly scurried to hide in a mildly panicked state, letting out a ''Be there in a second!'' as a response to the doorbell being rung a few times more

And after swiftly throwing a blanket over the box in a hurried defeat, you finally rushed over to the door and opened it revealing Taehyung who was standing there with grocery bags in hand, and a sheepish smile formed on your lips as you welcomed him inside whilst he grumbled out a jokingly offended remark

Taehyung: Took you long enough Jungkook-sshi, I thought my arms were going to fall off here you know!

A breathy laugh left your lips as you helped him carry the grocery bags into the kitchen, the older trailing behind you shortly after as he had to take off his coat and change into the guest slippers first

Jungkook: Sorry for the delay, I got— caught up in something...

He shook his head reassuringly as he began laying out all the ingredients the two of you would be needing tonight, meanwhile, you grabbed whatever kitchen utensils, bowls, pans and so on which would be used in preparation for the dish

Taehyung: Okay so listen, I'm not one to boast but I promise you, after tonight this will be your new favorite dish!

You playfully rolled your eyes and nudged his shoulder as the two of you stood side by side, making sure to wash your hands prior to getting started

Jungkook: I admit you're a good cook Sunbae, but aren't you a bit bold stating such things so soon?

A warm chuckle left his lips as he shrugged, speaking in a calm and confident manner, uttering out a "Wait til you give it a taste and see, you'll love it" as he began preparing one part of the dish, meanwhile you started washing and peeling whatever vegetables you would be needing later on

The two of you engaged in a lot of different conversations topics as you worked together, sharing many moments of warm laughter over some shared interests or funny stories, though the topic trailed off to something else as his eyes seemed to catch something off in the distance, and so he hummed softly before letting his gaze travel back over to you

Taehyung: Say I already asked this before but, are you still having difficulties Jungkook-sshi?

You laughed softly as you looked over at him, cocking your head slightly to the side as you uttered out a soft yet confused "Hm?"

And as your gaze followed over to whatever the older just nodded towards, your breath hitched slightly once you finally spotted the very box you had been trying to hide earlier, now unmasked and on display in all its glory, as the blanket you had thrown onto it betrayed you and slid off

Taehyung: I'm asking if you're still having trouble with writing and drawing the erotic scenes silly

A soft huff left your lips as you now turned to look down at the vegetables you were cutting up, trying to mask your shyness as you defensively stated out a factual remark

Jungkook: So what if I am, isn't it only natural to not know how to go about something you haven't experienced?

He then raised an eyebrow at you as he grinned playfully, finding this very moment a great chance to tease you yet again as he leaned against the fridge

Taehyung: Well you have that box over there containing things to help you, no?

Which inevitably turned you into a flustered mess as you piped out an embarrassed "Shut up, I'm not using those!", only earning another warm chuckle out of him

Taehyung: Then why did you buy them?

Jungkook: I just—

You cursed softly under your breath before letting out a breathy giggle, shrugging as you looked over at the box, finding the situation more comical rather than embarrassing at this point as discussing this with the older was more comfortable than with anyone else

Jungkook: I actually have no idea, sure was a waste of money though because turns out adult toys are anything but cheap!

The older covered his mouth to stifle an amused giggle trying to leave his lips, however, as you locked eyes you found yourselves simultaneously bursting into a fit of giggles, only being able to tone it down eventually as your cheeks began to hurt from smiling too much at this point

Taehyung: Jeon Jungkook you— wah you really have a way to surprise people huh?

Another bubbly giggle left your lips as you shrugged, feeling much better about the situation now as the both of you got to joke about it, somehow seeming to ease the tension about it all, and you turned towards Taehyung whilst speaking honestly

Jungkook: I just don't know how I'm supposed to believe I can succeed with those erotic scenes, when I seemly can't even get the thrilling scene that's supposed to lead up to that moment right... I was honestly thinking about just giving up at this point

His eyebrows raised slightly in surprise as he attentively crossed his arms, putting the cooking on hold as he looked at you, shaking his head in disapproval

Taehyung: Woah there, don't give up just yet Jungkook-ah, I know damn well what you're capable of and I'm certain you will end up with something amazing once you get the hang of it

A soft yet reassuring smile painted his lips as he looked down at you, humming softly before speaking up

Taehyung: Look, when it comes to the scenes leading up to it they're actually far more simple than you'd think, you've already got a great start from what I've seen so if you watch enough dramas then I think you might have pretty good inspiration to build from

You sighed softly as you flashed him a soft smile

Jungkook: Of course it'd be good inspiration, but I don't have enough time to do that right now

Another hum left his lips as he thought about it for a bit, before uttering out a calm ''alright well then let me give you an easy example from a series I watched recently, it's simple yet exciting and possibly a great building block for you'', to which you nodded in agreement as you figured why not give it a shot, it should be pretty easy right?

So he suddenly took a calm yet determined step towards you, eyes somehow looking far more seductive almost as his hands placed themselves on the curve of your waist and— Woah were his hands always this big?

As he calmly held the intense eye contact, he slowly guided you backward until your back hit the counter, now caging you in as he smirked before briefly reaching over to fix some strands of hair for you, only to shortly after lean down to your ear as he whispered out a deep and husky ''Do you want to go see butterflies with me?''

This instantly made your cheeks flush a deep crimson as your stomach seemed to make excited flips, and you found your mind wandering off to how such an innocent sentence also could send a wholly different signal and feeling when delivered like this, strangely becoming not so innocent any longer and it made you utterly stunned

He let out a deep and breathy chuckle which gently tickled the sensitive skin on your neck, clearly being able to sense how stunned you were as he pulled away and innocently uttered out a ''Something like that?'' before returning to calmly cooking as if he didn't just completely turn you into a flustered mess right then and there

- W-was that supposed to be easy?

Once dinner finally was done, the two of you had plated it before sitting down at the dinner table together, pouring up some wine which according to Taehyung should complement the dish nicely before the two of you joyfully clinked your glasses together, uttering out a soft ''cheers'' prior to taking a small sip out of it

Taehyung: Alright well moment of truth, have a taste and see if it's to your liking Jungkook-sshi

You hummed softly as you nodded before tasting the dish the both of you had just made together, eyes instantly filling with excited sparkes as the dish was indeed incredibly delicious, and so once you finished eating the bite you just had, a breathy giggle left your lips as you looked over at him

Jungkook: I hate to admit it, but this indeed might just be my new favorite dish, you were right yet again Sunbae

He let out a breath of relief before a warm laugh finally bubbled out of him, now also beginning to dig into the food as he smiled in accomplishment

Taehyung: See, I told you so!

You rolled your eyes but giggled softly nonetheless, continuing to eat the delicious food whilst the both of you once again found yourselves getting lost in a seemingly never ending conversation about anything and everything

And as it somehow yet again managed to stumble back onto the topic of work and your current struggles, the older calmly sipped his wine as he leaned back in his chair

Taehyung: Well my offer still stands you know?

This bold offer made you nearly choke on your drink as you widened your eyes in surprise, uttering out a soft ''Wait, you weren't joking about that?'', to which he only shrugged calmly as he looked over at you

Taehyung: Well not necessarily, I wouldn't be opposed to helping you out if you so wish.

He then flashed you a boxy grin as his bubbly and playful attitude evidently came back, teasingly uttering out a ''Respectfully, of course'' before winking at you, only making the subtle blush on your cheeks darken slightly
