After the official announcement had been published, containing the attached files of evidence to prove your innocence, the public opinion and previous harsh criticism towards you thankfully began to subdue and instead directed themselves onto the agency and creator actually at fault, now demanding some form of justice and accountability from them

Naturally, it didn't take all too long for the agency to crumble underneath the pressure of their actions consequences, and a statement declaring that 'Xhians' contract with Starlight Studios had been terminated shortly followed, their webcomics were also taken down from the site as they claimed to condemn any form of plagiarism and stated that they took matters like this one ''very seriously''

Now who knows whether that was actually true or not, given how they only spoke up and looked into this when the odds turned against them, and one could even ponder whether they secretly played some part in the theft

Though that's something you doubt you'd never truly get an answer to.

Either way, you were happy to see how things finally were calming down and going back to normal, and while it turned out the stolen material had been gathered through a security breach, the investigation was put on hold as it seemed to only reach a dead end

However, you weren't bothered by the investigation coming to a halt, considering the situation now had been taken care of, and instead wanted to just focus on returning to your normal upload schedule

Of course, there was still this lingering anxiety that came with every new episode you published after this incident, as the fear of something similar to it bubbling up again wasn't all too easy to get rid of, but thankfully your friends didn't hesitate to stick right by your side and encourage you to keep your head held high, which helped you a lot more than they might ever truly know

A takeaway coffee cup was suddenly placed down in front of you, shortly followed by a gentle tap on your desk which snapped you out of your own train of thought, glancing over at what you knew was your favorite coffee drink before letting your eyes travel up to the male next to you as he flashed you a gentle smile

Taehyung: Jungkook-sshi, we should probably get going now

You looked over at the time and widened your eyes slightly in surprise before standing up, picking up the takeaway cup whilst letting out a soft ''Thank you for this'' as you waved it gently in your hand, to which he nodded as he muttered out a reassuring ''No problem''

As the filming for the tv-series adaption of 'Mono' recently had come to its end, a small conference-type event was held, to which you naturally had been invited to attend as a VIP guest since you were the original writer of it.

And so after making sure that everything was in order and that you had everything you needed, you turned towards Taehyung with a soft grin platered on your lips as you gestured towards the studio's exit

Jungkook: Alright, let's go then Taehyung-sshi

Upon arriving at the event you could instantly see how a big crowd of reporters and fans filled the area, and you couldn't help but let out a nervous sigh as you brought the champagne glass up to your lips, taking a big sip out of it, somewhat hoping that the alcohol would manage to soothe your nerves even in the tiniest bit

Taehyung seemed to have noticed your tensed state and carefully moved in closer to your side, gently nudging your arm as his tone was lowered slightly whilst he spoke reassuringly

Taehyung: Don't be nervous, you've got this Gguk

A breathy giggle left your lips as you finished the last bits of your drink before putting it down onto the table, just in time to hear the mc welcome you up on stage to join the rest of the important guests soon after

Yet another sheepish smile painting your lips as you turned towards Taehyung and looked up into his eyes, voice coming out as a whisper in the hopes of no passerbys potentially hearing just how nervous you were

Jungkook: Well here goes nothing, wish me luck

He gently reached over and fixed the collar of your shirt, then nodded as he chuckled softly and  muttered out a ''Good luck Jungkook-sshi'' before giving you an encouraging nudge towards the stage

Cameras left and right immediately began to flash as you slowly made your way onto the stage, respectfully greeting the mc, director, and two male actors playing the lead roles in the series before you all sat down together on the couches, officially marking the start of the little interview segment at this event

And you almost ended up surprising yourself, as the strong and calm façade you put on ended up feeling far more natural– almost comfortable even as your nerves seemed to just disappear shortly after you got seated, making you able to respond and engage in the conversations smoothly, even displaying a certain charm which not only the crowd of reporters and fans- but also your fellow hosts seemed to enjoy a lot

Mc: Jungkook-sshi our dear webtoon artist, could you please tell us more about how you came up with the concept of this fantasy-like take on the soulmate world? I mean the way you protrayed it is just magical!

A warm giggle left your lips as you gently bowed your head respectfully before raising the mic up to your lips, humming softly whilst a gentle smile still lingered on your lips at your own hopeless romantic ideas

Jungkook: Its no secret by now that I may have somewhat of a hopeless romantic heart, and I've always loved the idea of a soulmate bond, so when I began making this series I wanted to find a way to show how it feels like when you've yet to find your destined other. Up until you find each other, one could imagine it feels like theres this unexplainable missing puzzle piece in your life, so I ended up portraying that through color vision— or rather, the lack of color vision up until that point.

They all let out cheers and coos in adoration to your answer, making you bite back a shy and mildly embaressed grin as yet another giggle left your lips, though you felt immensely grateful to see just how many loved the idea of it just as much as you do

Mc: You never fail to amaze us Mr.Jeon, but that makes us all wonder... Is this an idea stemming from personal experience, a partner perhaps?~

You widened your eyes in surprise and slowly shook your head awkwardly, a faint blush now creeping onto your cheeks as you certainly didn't except her to dive into your personal life, let alone your love life at that

Jungkook: Oh, no-... Maybe it's a tad bit obvious from the way I write and illustarte love, but I've never actually dated anyone myself...

This immediately earned surprised gasps out of everyone, and you could practically hear the articles currently being formed about the newly gathered information about you, heck they must have a field day writing about a popular webtoon artist whos never been in love, writing about love

Mc: My oh my! You hear that gentlemen-

She then halted her words, clearly realizing yet another detail which you had never brushed up on nor disclosed publicly before, though thankfully she hesitantly yet still professionally managed to continue on without necessarily intruding any further into a topic she couldn't be certain you felt comfortable talking about yet

Mc: or ladies-... Or well people in general! Someone has yet to steal your dear artists heart just yet!

Right, sexuality... Another thing you funnily enough hadn't had much time nor effort to discover about yourself. But let's not bring that up now, or you were bound to get bombarded with even more complicated questions you doubt you could answer

Thankfully it didn't take long until the topic finally trailed back to what everyone actually was here for, discussing the tv-serie adaption which just had been completed.

And as you slowly approached the last segment for today which was collectively answering any questions the reporters might have, you felt happy knowing everything had rolled on very gracefully— aside from the tiny dating hiccup, but it could've been far worse, right?

- Yeah you got that part right, because the worse was yet to come.
