3. Go Green

"Arnav..." Arnav hurriedly wiped his lips and looked up at his teacher who had snapped him out from his chocolate land.

"You're getting naughtier day by day. Stand on the line."

He walked slowly and joined with other students. He roamed his eyes here and there and in no time his brows twisted as his small brain registered the absence of Khushi.

He nudged the girl standing before him "Where's khuchi?"

"I don't know." The girl answered and went to her previous position.

He made a face at her for her indifference. How can anyone tell him they don't know where his khuchi is?

He glanced back and asked the same question to a boy, this time. He also replied the exact same answer which annoyed him to the core.

"Arnav stop murmuring. Can't you shut your mouth for sometime?" His teacher again scolded him for creating commotion around him.

"Now climb up on the van, one by one." His teacher voice boomed on the area. Arnav ears didn't paid attention to this. He's busy glancing around the area trying to spot Khushi but failed miserably as the line started to move and he has no choice but to follow the rules.

Apart from the coordinator, a working staff helped all the students to climb up on the van. As soon as Arnav turn has arrived, his eyes caught the sight of her. She's already sitting inside the van, waving her hands at him through the window. He waved his hand back in glee showing his teeth. With all the enthusiasm in this world, he made a run towards her as soon as the staff safely let him in. There're two seats on each row and column.

"Whelr were you? I c(s)earched you." He asked sitting beside her.

She laughed "I am here Annav. Wly did you search outside?"

He send some serious glares at her as if understanding her mock. Immersed in his chocolate land earlier, he didn't realised their teacher separating them into two groups in which Khushi went into first group and climbed up on the van.

"Move. I walt window seat." He stood up declaring out of blue.

Khushi gripped the grill and bobbed her head in negative "No. I love window seat. You sit here."

"I too love window ceat. Move khuchi..." He whined gripping her small arm.

She shrugged his hands and shook her head left to right "No... No... I love this seat."

"No, only I love window ceat." Arnav argued back.

"I too love this seat." Khushi argued back and it continues for few times until the coordinator decided to put full stop to their fights.

"Stop it both of you. Arnav you need window seat right? Come here, sit beside Ayesha. She's willing to exchange her seat with you."

"No, I es(x)change my seat."

"No, I dol(n)'t need window ceat."

Khushi and Arnav said in unison leaving their teacher in surprise. These are the two who are ready to kill each other at any given moment due to their contrast thoughts and wishes, yet they're the same kids who doesn't allow anyone to come between them nor leave each other alone to face any difficulties.

Khushi jumped down from her seat by placing her small palms on cushioned seat for support whereas Arnav already jumped up on the same way and safely settled himself beside her.

"Annav sit here." Khushi said seeing him sitting on corner seat.

"No no. You love window ceat na. You sit there." Arnav denied her offer and patted the place beside him.

Khushi stood facing him by settling her palm on his thigh & pouted with her small lips "But, you love this window seat na."

"Now I do(l)n't love window ceat." He declared, expecting her to stop this argument before he could change his mind and grab his favourite window seat.

Khushi looked at him & the seat before coming into conclusion "Oh,... Now I sit here. While returning you can sit here. Ok."

"Ok." Arnav smiled in satisfaction.

The moment they reached the desired destination, birds sanctuary, Arnav held Khushi hands in his. Lest, he could miss her again. The whole students are split into three groups. Fortunately, they both end up in same group.

Walking hand in hand, they both had hard time to tear their gazes from the greeny area. They kept walking with open mouth awwing everything which allured them on the way.

"See this is green parrot." They stopped in front of a big cage.

"It's beak is so red like chilli." Khushi exclaimed staring at the bird in aww.

Unlike Khushi, Arnav raised his doubt than gaping at the new environment "Why they're kept inc(s)ide this cage? Crows are flying freely na."

"Because parrot is beautiful bird na... Bad people will kill them, so they're kept here safely." One of the staff covered up the situation in her own way.

"Oh, so we're beautipul, that's why you're caging us with you at school." The staff stood flabbergasted with his reply.

"Will they also go their home like we go to ours?" He asked again not giving the staff to recover from earlier shock.

Beating her Khushi answered him surprisingly "No. Don't you know, birds live in trees. But we don't have trees in our home na." She finished with a sad pout. Why everyone is keen on destroying the trees?

"Yes. If you want these birds to go their home then you need to plant trees first."

"Oh, where can I plant them?" Arnav asked eagerly already planning to ask his dad to buy a tree.

"Plant trees at your backyard. If you plant a tree, you'll get good oxygen, fresh atmosphere & you'll get enough water."

"Really? Will my house also greeny like this if I plant trees?" This time Khushi asked entering into their conversation.

"Yes, greeny greeny garden and greeny greeny parrots will visit cute Khushi's home." Their class teacher cooed.

"Mine too... Greeny Geeny garden." Arnav jumped clapping his hands.

"Greeny greeny garden... Greeny greeny parrots." Khushi found this line cute and kept singing it throughout their journey.

"Greeny greeny Annav garden... Greeny Geeny khuchi garden." They both sung in unison making all the children to chorus their own made up rhyme.
