I bring Raina in command with Prim, Peeta and I to track down her family. Plutarch and the so called "reputable" President Alma Coin are not to be found there, so Boggs helps me with my problem. I still can't put a face to the name Coin. I have yet to meet her.
Boggs looks through files and papers before he takes out one sheet of paper and reads it closely.

"It says here that the only member of the Belle family that checked in to District 13 is a newborn."

"A newborn? As in a baby?" says Peeta.

"Yes, Mr. Mellark. A baby."

"What do you mean a newborn? There are no babies in my family." accuses Raina.

"Also reads that the child is not named, and now almost a two weeks old. She's in the nursery. You should go meet her and see what that's about." Boggs tells her.

"No way. I don't have any baby siblings." she dismisses.

"Raina, is there a possibility that your mother could have been pregnant?" I ask her.

"Not a chance. My father died almost...ten months ago."

Her eyes widen after the words leave her mouth.

"Why wouldn't my mom tell me she was pregnant!" She recalls, dragging Peeta and I to the nursery. Prim quickly follows.

"Does this mean my family is gone?" she mumbles to herself. I can't answer it.

Her thoughts are interrupted by Peeta talking to the nurse. She leads us through a hallway and we end up in a small room with few baby cries that radiate off the walls. A few infants lay in cribs, with nurses who seem to be round the clock watching them.

A nurse recognizes Prim and hands her a stack of papers about her nurse training.

We are brought to a tiny wooden crib at the back of the room, and the nurse picks the crying newborn up, handing it over to the first person she sees, Peeta. He's shocked by the gesture, but is way more than happy to hold the child. He cradles her for a few moments, swaying back and forth. She opens her eyes, to see Peeta's piercing blue ones and his warm smile. She instantly replaces her cries with a big toothless smile.

"You must be Raina." The nurse shakes her hand.

"I'm Atala. I believe your family has left you something other than a beautiful healthy baby girl."

Atala opens a drawer and pulls out a brown notebook, handing it over to Raina.

She looks down at it flipping through pages.

"My family left me a bunch of notes." She says, closing it back up.

She stares at the cover.

"How am I supposed to care for a baby all by myself? I'm just a kid."

Right away I feel Peeta's gaze on me. I look at him slightly and nod. I'm going to regret this.

"We'll help you." Peeta says, cooing at the fragile life in his arms.

I thought she'd be overly thankful, but she just shakes her head.

"I can't let you guys do that. I can't ruin your lives." she sighs.

"It's our choice to help you. We don't feel obligated." I tell her.

Ive never been interested in babies, but now that I'm watching Peeta hold one, it makes me want to take it from him and hug it myself.
I don't know what I'm saying. I despise children, they're too innocent for this world. Sent to a death trap once they are eligible. Thanks to Snow.

"Snow has to pay for what he's done." I whisper, grabbing the attention of others.

The nurse hands us everything we need to care for her, including a parenting book. We fill out loads of paperwork, declaring us as guardians of the unnamed child. I can't do this, I'm still a child myself.

You have to Katniss, this isn't about what you want. Don't be so selfish all the time.

"We have to give her some sort of name." Peeta says, telling the nurse not to leave her unnamed.

"Wait until I read what my family wrote me. Maybe they named her in there."

As we sit in Raina's compartment, we leave her a little privacy on the other side of the room to read the journal, while Prim and Peeta take turns holding the baby.

I glance at them and raise my eyebrows.

"What on earth are you two doing?"

"We're trying to see who can make the baby smile first." Prim answers, pulling a funny face.
She puffs her cheeks, which causes the baby to grin.

Peeta sighs in defeat as Prim keeps herself busy. Those two could really pass off as siblings, my mind travels elsewhere, away from the problem at hand. Peeta and Prim, my family. Their sparkling blue eyes. Soft, silky blonde locks. Beautiful, innocent personalities.
They bring hope to me. They really balance
me out. My self-destructive fire leads me to make rash decisions. Peeta's dandelion symbolizes rebirth and passion. Our weaknesses are each other's strengths.

I zone myself out as they chat and look over at Raina. The concentrated face she pulls as she reads the journal worries me. I think how she's more like me than I originally thought. She knows about the fire she radiates, and she uses it to her advantage.

"They didn't name her." she sighs.

She then closes the book, more than several minutes after she opened it.

"I suggest you name her Rosemary. Rosie, for short." Prim says.

Raina turns her head and looks at my sister, confused of her presence. I get a strong feeling she just noticed her. The sour face she pulls is soon replaced back to her normal one when she sees the resemblance of her and Peeta.

She shoots a small smile toward her, and Raina returns it. She leans over her chair and glances at them.

"I didn't know you had a sister, Peeta." she gets up and joins us, sitting on the edge of the bed beside Prim.

"I don't," he lightly chuckles, "that's Katniss's younger sister."

Her eyes wander over to Prim again.

"I would have never known. You must be Prim!" She holds out her hand for her to shake. She places the baby in my arms and refuses her handshake, offering a hug instead.

"I think now is really the time for you to make a friend. It's so nice to finally meet you." Prim babbles.

I'm freaked, spooked even, of the child I am holding. What I find scary is she stopped crying  once she looked up at me, just like she did with Peeta. How is that? Peeta is so lovable by everyone, so there's no question there. But me? Babies must be so naive if they find an interest in me. Her brown eyes bulge out of her head, and she crinkles her nose up, and her mouth is pushed into a huge smile. It makes me grin. Her spouts of brown hair seems to be softer than her own behind.

Peeta appears over my shoulder and adjusts the blanket she's wrapped in.

"I like Rosie." he says.

We all agree, and look over to Raina for her opinion.

She spends a while studying the young child's face before she finally agrees.

A light knock at the door is heard, and Raina, still holding the baby, passes it over Prim, and she goes to see who it is.

There stands Roman, pushing a teenaged girl in a wheelchair. Talisa. Her allies.

She's pulled into a long embrace, before they enter the compartment and offer hugs all around.

Turns out, Talisa is being rolled around in the wheelchair until she's due for her baby, which is soon. Together, we plan all the rest of the day, on how they're going to pull off a scheme to get Kolton from the Capitol. Who I didn't notice the presence of, was the girl career from district four. The one they saved. The girl Finnick said he wasn't fond of. I shake the thought and introduce myself, welcoming her into our discussion.

Curfew rolls around, and they all head back to their assigned places. Raina is going to suggest that we move our compartment to mirror hers, so that we are close enough to help. For tonight, Raina said she was going to be fine with her. I'm glad, because I'm sure she doesn't want to be alone. The only family she has as of now is Rosie. We say goodnight, helping her change her diaper before we leave.

On our way back to our own compartment, we hear a faint call of my name at the end of the hall.

hey guys! So how do you like the name Rosie? Also, what do you want the career from District 4's name to be? Let me know!
I have a commercial audition/interview tomorrow which I'm nervous about, so give me some encouragement hahah. Well, it's 2am, so goodnight and wish me luck :]
