Chapter 17

His feet repeatedly stomping the ground, his lungs begging for more oxygen and his strength was slowly leaving him. But he didn't stop. He couldn't, not when worry was slowly eating him inside.

"Tsuna-kun!! Tsuna-kun we should take a break!" Enma said, gasping for air behind him.

Tsuna bit his lip and eventually slowed down,"Sorry..." He muttered, looking away, unable to look at his friend.

Enma narrowed his eyes,"Don't apologise. Its my fault for being weak. I know you are worried about your friends.." He clenched his hands,"Im just slowing you down."

The brunette grabbed the red head's shoulders,"Don't say such a thing!" He gave a reassuring smile,"Im glad you're here! We're best friends aren't we?" He questioned.

"But... We couldn't find them anywhere..." Enma began,"Not in the Cafeteria, not in their rooms, not in the bath, not in the–" He was cut off by a stinging pain on his left cheek. He froze.

"Don't lose hope!" Tsuna yelled at him and shook his shoulders for extra effect,"Theres still one place we haven't checked yet!" He gave a confident grin.

Compass-like eyes widen, catching on,"Y-you don't mean..." He stuttered.

"YES!" Tsuna's eyes brimmed with the sense of adventure,"The dark side of this cursed place, the experiment labs!" He exclaimed.

Enma covered the other boy's mouth and put a finger on his lips,"Shh! What if the other kids hear you!? They'll think you're crazy!"

Tsuna giggled underneath the hand,"Mhhmhmh-mhmmmh?" He questioned but it was all muffled up.

The red head sighed and removed his hand,"What did you say?"

"Aren't we all crazy?" Tsuna repeated,"Thats why we're here!"

"But is it even true?" Enma questioned,"Are we truly crazy? Ive already told you my story, they just randomly showed up! My parents didn't know anything!"

The brunette hummed in thought,"Well, I don't really know. If I did, then I would have said so, right?"

Enma sighed, knowing that what the other stated was true,"Fine, lets keep going, Im ready."

Tsuna grinned,"Alright! Lets do this!!" He exclaimed and sprinted off with Enma trailing behind him. Hope was building inside him instead of worry,'They're fine. I know they are.' He thought.

------------------------------------------

As they got closer and closer to the experimental labs area, children slowly decreased in number and before they knew it, they were the only two around. Their runs turned into walks.

"No matter how many times I go through this, it still creeps me out." Enma muttered as their surroundings changed from pristine white to despairing black.

Tsuna covered his nose with his left hand while his right held Enma's,"The smell too." He whispered,"Still smells like rotten flesh."

"Would it kill them to clean this place up?" The red head questioned.

"I don't think it matters to keep this place clean when it keeps on getting dirty." The brunette answered,"At least they clean the white side of this place."

Enma nodded his head in agreement,"Well, now that we're here, where do we search first? We've got to be careful, we don't want to be caught after all."

Tsuna's eyes glimmered in excitement,"Okay!" He then hummed in thought and pointed at some random direction,"Lets go there first!"

Enma sweat dropped,"And why?"

"Intuition!" Tsuna replied.

"That or you're just playing around. I bet its the latter." The red head said.

Tsuna rubbed the back of his head, sheepishly,"Hehe... You've got caught me."

The compass-like eyed boy shrugged,"Oh well, we've got to start somewhere. Lets go." He declared and took the other boy's hand and walked toward where Tsuna pointed.

"Yay!" The honey brown eyed boy squealed.

-------------------------------------------------

"Ugh!" Tsuna groaned,"We've looked everywhere! Even our own labs! But they are still no where to be seen!!" He shouted in frustration,"And now we're lost!" He huffed.

Enma grumbled something under his breath, probably a curse.

Tsuna took a deep breath to calm his nerves and observed his surroundings. Nothing good will happen if you don't calm down.

Emna, after sulking, just watched Tsuna and notice a flash of orange in his eyes a second. He rubbed his own eyes and repeatedly blinked. Yup, there was a tint of orange.

The brunette scanned the area, looking at the little signs that were spread around in a foreign language all around the dark hallway.

"Hmm... I just realised, but we aren't in Japan, are we?" Tsuna questioned.

Emma followed Tsuna's line of vision and saw the signs,"I guess not." He replied, narrowing his eyes.

Tsuna bit his lip, uneasiness growing inside him,"Lets go. I wanna find my friends." He declared and turned swiftly.

Enma jogged to catch up with him. Once he was right beside the other boy, he noticed the look of despair that decorated his face,"Whats wrong?" He questioned.

"I don't know. Ive got a bad feeling. Something big is going to happen.." Tsuna replied, his speed accelerating along with his emotions.

"Like what?" Enma asked, curious.

". . . ." Tsuna stayed silent till a single word escaped his mouth, piercing the air around them,"War."

------------------------------------------

They heard a sound. No, multiple sounds.... People's voices. About seven of them.

Tsuna's honey brown eyes widen and he jumped into a sprint towards the voices,"Guys!" He yelled, desperately. Unaware that he was dragging the red head along with him because of their enclosed hands.

Emna was surprised by the sudden movement of the boy beside him and didnt have enough time to react as he was pulled into the run,"U-uwah!" He yelled out pathetically.

The red head's eyes widen once he saw seven people standing in the hallway, talking like they were discussing something.

"Guys!" Tsuna yelled out again, this time catching their attention.

"SAWADA!" Ryohei spoke first as the others started exclaiming too.

"Tsuna!"

"Tch! Bastard! What the hell do you think you were thinking about worrying us then showing up out of no where!?"

"Kufufufufu~"

"Hn. Herbivore."

"Gahahahahah! Stupid Tsuna is back!"

"T-tsuna-kun..."

Tears of relief started brimming in Tsuna's eyes,"E-everyone..." He sniffled and pounced at all seven into a group hug,"IM SO SORRY!" He exclaimed, tears finally flowing down his cheeks.

All of them were in shock and were frozen still.

"W-w-w-wha.. WHAT THE HELL!?" Gokudera exclaimed,"IMPOSTER! UMA!" He shouted.

Tsuna broke up the hug, tears still fresh in his eyes and his face slightly red,"I-imposter...?" He stuttered and sniffed,"You.. think I'm an imposter, Gokudera-kun?" He started crying again,"A-after all the trouble I went through to apologise...." The brunette hiccuped,"W-why...?"

Chrome narrowed her eyes dangerously and kicked the silver haired teen on the back.

"OW! WHAT THE HELL WOMAN!?" Gokudera cussed.

"Apologise. Now." Chrome said threateningly as mist flames surrounded her, giving off extra effect. Her eyes promised pain.

Gokudera gulped and turned his attention back at the sobbing brunette,"S-sorry... I'm sorry I said that.." He said weakly,"I was just shocked at the sudden personality change."

Tsuna blinked, tears forgotten,"Personality.. change..?" He echoed and tilted his head to the side,"When?"

Mukuro laughed,"Kufufu~ Of course just now." He said,"You were quite a sarcastic, sassy, cold person. Remember? And now you're a tiny animal."

The brunette flushed one he realised that he was indeed acting out of character,"W-wha... W-why.. I.. Um... Sorry.. Im sorry. I didn't mean to act that way." [Yeah. Its the Author's fault.]

"Didn't mean to act that way?" Yamamoto questioned,"Weren't you acting that way for... " He hummed in thought and counted with his fingers,"10 years?"

Tsuna nervously played with his fingers,"I.. I have reasons..."

"A split personality?" Hibari questioned with a raised eyebrow in amusement.

Tsuna squeaked,"N-NO! Definitely not!"

Yamamoto shrugged,"Oh well, he has his reasons. For now, let's get back on topic." He declared.

Tsuna tilted his head to the side,"Topic? You guys talking about something?"

Chrome nodded her head,"Yes, we were wondering why we were brought here and ended up abandoned in this hallway." She told him and gestured to their surroundings,"Our guide just randomly left without us noticing."

Emna stared at the conversation, wondering when they'll notice him.

Tsuna hummed in thought,"That is pretty weird, usually they'd take us to one of the labs for... Something. Then immediately leave, like they were in a hurry..." Then a sudden thought crossed his mind. He let out a gasp.

Mukuro raised an eyebrow,"What is it?"

"When I first came here, my guide was a woman named, Mayu. Mayu-San was a very pretty and nice woman." Tsuna said and continued on,"When I was first taken to.. My doctor... She looked very sad... There was pain her eyes." Thinking about it made Tsuna feel sympathy,"I should have known..."

"So? What's so special about that guide?" Gokudera asked, harshly.

"Mayu-San... Mayu-San disappeared a few years later." Tsuna said, tears starting to come back in his eyes,"Just when I was getting to know her..." He sniffled,"Her actions changed. From fast paced, to a slower one as we talked walking down the hallways. She would always visit whenever she could. Then, after one day when she told me about this institution, she disappeared."

"What did she say?" Lambo asked, curious.

" 'You've got to escape. They'll make you go insane and then use you as a machine for battle as a mindless puppet. Either that or they'll suck out all of your will power, killing you in the process. Please live.' Is what she said." Tsuna said, looking down.

Hibari bit his lip, which was very out of character for him,"It's the same." He simply stated.

"Huh?" Tsuna muttered.

"It happened to all of us as well." Mukuro replied instead,"We got close to our guides and they disappeared. However, they never told us anything about this place." He let out a chuckle.

"You too Enma?" Tsuna questioned, finally making the red head's presence known.

Enma lazily nodded his head,"Yup." He simply stated and gazed somewhere else,"Thank you for noticing I exist."

Tsuna panicked,"Uwah!! I'm so sorry!" He apologized and hugged the sulking boy,"I just... I just got too excited and.. And I... Um..."

Enma laughed,"It's fine, it's fine. I was acting like a drama queen anyway." He said as he hugged the other back.

"And who exactly is this?" Gokudera asked, glaring at the Crimson haired boy,"Pinky." He insulted.

Enma glared back,"Got a problem with me, punk?" He scanned the silverette's outfit,"I'm guessing you're a delinquent that no one wants." He spat.

Gokudera's eyes widen,"The fuck you said!?" He snapped, rage obvious in his eyes,"Ill fucking kill you!" He approached the red head, about to attack.

Enma saw this, of course, and moved to a defensive position. His eyes narrowed in challenge.

In one swift movement, Gokudera's fist nearly made contact with Emna's forearm, which he put up in defence, but was blocked by a single hand. The hand's owner belonged to an enraged brunette.

Slowly, Gokudera faced the interrupter,"The hell--" He stopped once he saw the boy's orbs. His eyes widen in awe and slight fear. But mostly, curiosity.

Fiery neon orange seemingly glowed in the dark hallway like a light in the darkness. His eyebrows were furrowed obviously showing his distaste of the situation. His mouth formed an angered frown. And finally, the hand that caught the silver haired teen's were clenched in a fist, hard.

"Stop." His voice held much more authority and calmness in it,"A simple misunderstanding occurred here, nothing more nothing less. For that sake, no fists shall be raised in rage." He glared at both of them,"Understood?"

Enma gulped, thinking that the person in front of him reminded him of a leader,"O-okay..." He stuttered and relaxed his limbs once again,"Sorry." He murmured to Tsuna and Gokudera.

Gokudera turned the other direction, unable to look at those fierce orbs without guilt,"Sorry." He muttered.

Tsuna's frowned turned into a grin,"That's more like it!" He said cheerfully.

"Kufufufu~" Mukuro laughed,"Let us get back on topic here." He said and looked at Enma,"Who is he?"

Tsuna's sunset eyes twinkled in happiness,"He's my best friend, Enma!!" He exclaimed.

"Eh? I thought we were your best friends Tsuna..." Yamamoto murmured and faked a sad expression,"I guess we aren't.."

Tsuna, who totally fell for the trick, panicked,"U-Uwah!! I'm so sorry Yamamoto! I didn't mean it like that! You guys are my best friends too!" He paused and took a deep breath,"All of you are like family to me!!"

Chrome's eyes widen,"Fa...mily..?" She murmured.

Tsuna nodded,"Correct." He smiled gently,"You all are my family. The reason why I'm here at this very moment."

Hibari raised an eyebrow,"We're not your parents or anything. You didn't come out of us."

The brunette flushed,"I didn't mean it like that!!" He exclaimed,"I meant that you guys are the reason I didn't end my own life to stop the sounds and blood everywhere!"

"......"

The whole group was silent, staring at Tsuna in disbelief.

"I think you're going crazy, stupid Tsuna." Lambo spoke, breaking the ice,"Sounds? Blood? Pretty sure none of that happened..."

"It's true! It was everywhere! It would appear out of no where then vanish again!" He retorted,"Then I felt... Well, I didn't feel anything. I was numb. I blame the medicine."

Enma narrowed his eyes,"I don't think that it's the medicines fault. Partly, probably. But the whole cause? No."

"Then what was it?!" Tsuna yelled, sweat dripping down his cheeks.

"Hallucinations, numbing emotions, medicine, ending own life..." Ryohei muttered to himself.

Everyone stared at him as he kept checking a mental list.

"Was there any other symptoms?" Ryohei asked.

Tsuna blinked at how out of character the pristine haired boy was in front of him,"Uh.. I felt scared, sad, and other negative emotions. Also negative thoughts. And er... I felt like there was war going on inside me.. I ... Felt despair."

Ryohei narrowed his eyes,"Those are definitely symptoms of depression and insanity." He stated,"But... How are you... Back to normal?"

The brunette blinked his still orange orbs again,"Oh! That's because of this!" He brought out his hands in front of him and a tiny flame appeared on his palm,"I named him Natsu!"

"Named..? You can't name a flame!" Gokudera yelled,"How can you even produce a flame?!"

"Master did it." Tsuna immediately replied,"Master was the one who gave me and Gio this flame.." He smiled at the flame,"Despite it being created by that creepy man, isn't it cute?" He questioned and started playing with it.

Mukuro chuckled,"Kufufu~ I don't see why not. Let's all name our flames."

Hibari clicked his tongue in annoyance,"How childish. Leave me out of it."

Tsuna blinked, the flame disappearing,"Forget about naming your flames for now, where's Giotto?"

Lambo spoke,"I dunno. He wasn't with us the whole day! Wait-- since the last few days!"

The brunette's eyes widen,"Last few days?! Where was he the whole time?!"

"We don't know. He just randomly disappeared. He stopped showing up at The Cafeteria and we didn't see him at all." Yamamoto answered,"I'm really worried."

Enma tilted his side to the side,"Giotto? I feel like I've heard that name before..." He placed a hand under her chin in a thinking manner.

Tsuna clenched his hands,"Well, now we have to find him and abandon this stupid hallway." Tsuna declared,"We have no knowledge of his whereabouts or his health. I can't help but feel uneasy, we should search for him."

Chrome nodded,"I agree. It greatly worries me about his well being. We should go on a search." She backed him up.

Eventually, everyone agreed and dashed on a search.

'Giotto...' Enma thought to himself,'I've heard of that name before, but when and where?'

-----------------------------------

"Shouldn't we search in Tsuna's lab first? Giotto and Tsuna do share the same doctor." Yamamoto suggested.

Tsuna shook his head,"On the way, we looked everywhere for you guys, including my lab. There was no one there, not even Master."

"Where haven't you searched?" Mukuro questioned.

Tsuna hummed in thought but eventually gave up,"Hey Enma, where haven't we searched?"

Enma scrunched his nose in disapproval,"No clue. After all, we just went random directions, cause of your intuition." He growled,"Why did you even ask me? I was just following you!"

Tsuna nervously laughed,"Haha.. You're right." He started sulking,"Sorry."

Chrome sighed at the scene,"Whatever. We'll just search around from scratch."

"Eh?! That will take forever!!" Lambo complained.

"Not if we use our flames, dumbass." Gokudera hissed.

"Gupyyaaaaa!!!" Lambo screeched,"Don't scare me like that, octopus head! I forgot you existed!"

"Your fault for forgetting about my very existence." Gokudera glared.

"Who has an attribute suited for situations like this?" Enma questioned.

"Not me." Yamamoto said.

"Me neither." Chrome said.

"Kufufu. Same as me." Mukuro chuckled.

"No." Hibari hissed.

"SADLY NOT!!" Ryohei screamed.

"Lambo-san doesn't wanna do that even if he could!" Lambo huffed.

"All I can do is destroy." Gokudera spat,"Stupid ability."

"Well, I definitely can't." Enma said and turned his attention to Tsuna,"Can you do it, Tsuna-kun?" He questioned.

"I can try sensing Giotto's flame signature...." Tsuna said shyly in return,"I've never done it before so I can't be too sure..."

"Why didn't you try doing that when we were looking for your friends earlier?" Enma questioned, raising an eyebrow,"We could have saved so much time!"

"I wasn't sure it would work, it took time to do it, and I forgot!!" Tsuna exclaimed his excuses.

Enma huffed in response,"Just do it already."

Tsuna puffed his cheeks in annoyance but complied anyways. He closed his eyes and concentrated.

"You sure this will work?" Gokudera asked Enma,"I don't know anything about this weird orange flame, but I doubt it could do anything useful..."

Enma narrowed his eyes at the other teen,"That orange flame is called the Sky Flames." He explained,"And they can do quite a lot. Plus, I believe in Tsuna..."

Gokudera huffed,"Fine."

Mukuro chuckled in amusement,"Sky Flames you say? Interesting." He commented,"Mind explaining more about the so-called Sky Flames?"

The red head frowned,"You all should have seen the connection by now." He sighed but explained anyways,"Like all your flames, the Sky is connected to.. Well, the sky."

"Rain, Storm, Mist, Lightning, Cloud, Sun, and Sky. These elements belong to the sky, meaning the sky is technically the boss of the elements. However, without the sky, the elements are nothing, without the elements, the sky is nothing as well. It's a system of some sort that depends on each other." Enma said,"I'm sure you all are familiar to your own element as well as its attributes."

"Yup!" Yamamoto spoke up.

"Well, the Sky holds harmony." Enma stated,"Meaning it is possible for Tsuna to search for Giotto's flame signature."

"What exactly are the abilities of Harmony?" Chrome questioned,"That isn't quite specific."

"That is why Sky Flames are the rarest of all flames." Enma said,"It's nothing as simple as the others."

"Simple? How rude." Mukuro frowned.

"I guess I was quite disrespectful." Enma admitted,"Since all flames are very special."

"Ah!" They heard a gasp and turned towards the cause.

Tsuna had finally finished trying to find Giotto's flame signature.

"Did you find him, Tsuna?" Lambo asked.

Tsuna gulped,"I believe so." His neon orange eyes glowed brightly,"But surprisingly... He isn't here."

"Not in the experimental labs?" Hibari questioned.

"Yes, not in the experimental labs. Not even in this whole institution..." Tsuna muttered.

"You can't possibly mean---" Enma was cut off by a gigantic explosion.

The ground shook and everyone lost their balance, causing them to crash on top of the hard floor.

"W-what's going on?!" Gokudera yelled as he gripped a pillar tightly.

"I HAVE NO IDEA!!" Ryohei shouted.

Huge noises resonated everywhere. Probably more explosions, or buildings falling into the unforgiving ground.

"HIIIEEEE!!" Tsuna shrieked as he was  shaken everywhere, since he couldn't hold on to anything that could keep him in one place.

Suddenly, they heard screams and shrieks of children along with the stomping of feet like they were running away.

Hibari grunted and pushed himself to his feet,"No time, we've got to go." He nearly lost his balance once again but held on strong.

Mukuro dryly chuckled,"Agreed." He stated and pushed himself up,"We've got to get out of here." He said and made his way to Chrome carefully.

Tsuna covered his ringing ears. The noise was unbearable. How were they able to overcome it?

Much to the brunette's surprise, Enma stood up with the help of some random wall,"Tsuna-kun, let's go..." He muttered. Tsuna nearly wasn't able to hear him.

Tsuna tried to get up like his friend commanded by another quake erupted and he fell back down, but this time with a price.

The way he fell was quite awkward after trying to get up, so his leg, which was carrying most of his weight, buckled in forward and snapped in the process.

"Gah!" He yelled out,"M-my leg!!"

"Tsuna-kun!!" Enma shouted,"Are you okay?!" Cautiously walking to the injured boy, Enma helped the other up with the best of his ability. Luckily, Tsuna wasn't really heavy.

With one arm around Enma, Tsuna limped to the others who managed to get up with a lot of effort.

"Who knew keeping balance when the ground is shaking was hard." Gokudera muttered,"Better go easy on people next time with my dynamite." In his hands was a shivering Lambo.

"G-gyuupaaaaa!!!" He exclaimed, tears flowing down his face,"WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!!"

"I-it's okay Lambo." Tsuna tried calming the boy down,"It's just an Earthquake, we'll be fine." He lied through gritted teeth and pain.

Mukuro noticed how Tsuna and Enma were positioned,"Did you injure yourself?"

Enma replied in Tsuna's steed,"Yes, he did. It happened while he was trying to get up." He gravely answered,"We've got to get him some medical care!"

"If we find a safe spot, I can take a look at the injury!" Ryohei exclaimed.

"Thank you." Tsuna replied, smiling weakly.

Enma began to worry even more once he saw the exhausted look on his friend's face,"Tsuna-kun, you look horrible. That doesn't make any sense." He stated,"You were only injured in your leg, why does it look like it hurts more than it should?"

Tsuna gulped,"L-let's talk later... We've got to get out of here..."

A huge rumble erupted once more and everyone hang on to anything stable for their lives.

Hibari heard a crack. His eyes widen in realization,"MOVE!" He shouted and scrambled to a safer area.

Mukuro scurried out of the way once he heard the crack,"THE CEILING IS GIVING OUT!" With him was Chrome.

Gokudera gritted his teeth and with all his might, he maintained his balance and ran with Lambo in his arms.

Yamamoto, with his instincts, grabbed onto Ryohei and dashed out of the way.

Enma clicked his tongue. The red head pulled Tsuna away from him and was ready to push him to safety till the moment he did it, the brunette clenched his arm and brought him with the other.

With another big shake, the ceiling of the area they were previously occupying, the ceiling gave out and landing on the floor. Cracks immediately appeared on the concrete ground.

Due to the impact, dust scattered everywhere like crazy, causing their surroundings to become unclear.

Tsuna coughed,"W-what were you think Enma?!" He yelled and glared at the spot where he thinks Enma is,"You were going to get yourself killed! If I didn't drag you along with me you'd--"

"I get it, I get it." The red head sighed but soon coughed cause of the dust,"I'm sorry, okay? But let's focus on the matter at hand." He lifted himself higher to keep on supporting the brunette,"Anyways, the quakes have stopped for now, we should use this opportunity to get out of here."

Tsuna huffed,"Fine." He muttered out then shouted with all his might,"GUYS!! WHERE ARE YOU?! ARE YOU ALRIGHT?!"

"Over here!!" They heard a faint voice yell from beyond the debris. It was very faint that their ringing ears nearly missed it.

Enma rubbed his ears and looked at his hands. Blood,"Sheesh, that explosion was loud."

"Yeah. Let's go." Tsuna said.

Enma nodded and they slowly and carefully made their way to where they heard the voice.

After walking through different types of broken ceiling, they made it to where they heard the voice.

"Hello?" Tsuna started,"Anyone here?"

"Tsuna!" It was Yamamoto's voice,"Under here!" A cough soon started.

They both hurried to lift up a fallen pillar and other objects out of the way.

Finally, Yamamoto's head popped out,"Whew!" He sighed out,"Thanks! I owe you one!" He grinned, despite being covered in dust from head to toe.

"I'm just glad you didn't get caved in." Tsuna said, relieved.

"Have you seen the others?" Enma questioned.

"Nope! But I do have someone else!" The raven exclaimed and pulled someone out of the same cave he was in.

"Ryohei!" Tsuna exclaimed, shocked.

"THAT WAS EXTREME!!" He shouted, punching the air to emphasize the point.

They heard a rumble and immediately tensed up in case another quake started. However, it turned out to be the sound of debris being moved.

"There you guys are." Chrome stated with relief once she saw them.

Mukuro lifted up the last of the obstacle that was separated them, out of the way,"Kufufufu~ Good to see you all doing well and not dead."

"Yeah thanks..." Tsuna replied, not really knowing what else to say to what the pineapple head said,"Have you seen anyone else?"

Mukuro chuckled,"Yes we have." He gestured to the pathway they created to get there. A figure was soon seen coming closer.

"Ugh! That was shit!" Gokudera complained once they saw him. He hacked and coughed.

"No swearing!" Lambo commanded,"Giotto told me that swearing was bad!" He was being carried by Gokudera.

"HUH?!" Gokudera tempted,"Want me to drop you?!"

"Gupyaaa!!" Lambo shrieked,"NO! DONT! THERES STUFF ON THE FLOOR, IT MIGHT HURT MY FEET!!"

"Damn straight it will!" Gokudera taunted.

"Alright! Stop fighting!" Tsuna spoke,"We've got find Hibari-San!"

"That skylark can take care of himself." Mukuro stated, crossing his arms,"I say we continue on, we'll bump into him at some point."

"Eh? But--" Tsuna was cut off by a certain red head.

"I'll have to agree with him for this one." Enma stated, his compass-like eyes narrowing,"We still have to find Giotto and take care of your leg, Tsuna. Hibari is strong, he's fine. I'm more worried about if we looked for him and another explosion occurred. We'll all die like that."

Tsuna but his lip, deep regret building up inside him once he took in Enma's attitude. The red head was nothing like he was before. He was more... Cold and stricter than before. Well, Tsuna couldn't really blame him. Enma did watch his parents being brutally tortured then went all crazy with his flames.

'Huh? Flames? What was Enma's flame type again?' Tsuna thought.

"Alright. It's decided. We'll go." Gokudera declared.

Tsuna nodded, agreeing,"Yeah, I guess you're right.."

With determination gleaming in their eyes, they headed for the exit of the experimental labs, making sure to be wary of their stepping.

The brunette's eyes scanned their surroundings. Everything looked so different when they're all.. Destroyed.

Apparently, some walls and other part of the ceiling all collapsed at some point, and settled on the ground.

Speaking of the ground, the floor itself didn't look safe at all. It looked as if it would break at a single touch. But of course, that didn't happen since they were walking directly on top of it.

Dust was definitely everywhere. Even most of their members-- no, everyone had dust on themselves. It's practically impossible not to.

His leg was stinging with pain since his bone pretty much broke. Or at least, was pushed out of its socket, or maybe it's joints disassembled or something.

Tsuna shook his head. He shouldn't be thinking of such thoughts. Instead, he should be thinking about Giotto.

It was strange, very strange. Why was the blonde outside of the institution. It should have been impossible to escape. Plus, he wasn't that far from the hospital. Weird. If he remembered correctly, it was near the forest...

The forest.. Why did he feel such nostalgia towards it?

The institution itself was far away from society, ironically. It surrounded itself in the forest. A beautiful deciduous forest.

"I think we'll be safe here, for now." Ryohei spoke, destroying Tsuna's train of thought.

The brunette scanned the place they were going to stay at the mean time.

It was one of the empty labs, it wasn't very big, quite small actually. But it was practically perfect for the type of situation they were currently experiencing.

The walls and floor was made out of steel. The steel itself looked unkept and old, but still looked reliable, at least for now.

The room was messy. Like someone was in a big rush to find something and ended up making a wreck everywhere.

In the middle of everything was medical equipment. Which was weird, since all labs have some sort of tool to experiment of the children.

"What room is this exactly?" Tsuna questioned. There should be a sign outside to show what kind of room they were currently in was. Even if the language is foreign to them, every sign attached to a lab had a tiny drawing beside it.

"About that," Enma spoke up,"There wasn't any sign, must have been blown away in the explosion since outside this room looks really run down compared to the other parts of the experimental labs.."

Tsuna nodded and settled himself on one of the chairs, with the help of Enma of course,"Thank you." He thanked.

Enma smiled,"No problem."

"ALRIGHT!" Ryohei exclaimed,"LETS DO THIS!!" He exclaimed once more and dashed towards the medical equipment, checking them if they were still appropriate for use.

Tsuna sighed and closed his eyes, which were exhausted from the explosions.

Something at the back of his head told him that something big was gonna happen. A bad thing.

"EXTREME!" The pristine haired boxer shouted, catching everyone's attention,"THESE STUFF WILL DO GOOD DESPITE NOT BEING KEPT FOR A LONG TIME!!"

After saying that, Ryohei grabbed the necessary equipment needed to heal his leg.

He got closer to the brunette and crouched down to meet his injured leg,"This is going to hurt a bit, okay?" He asked in a soft voice.

Tsuna smiled,"Yup!"

Ryohei grinned back and produced a sun flame on his palm and gently massaged it on the leg while propping said limb in a right angle.

Tsuna hissed at the sudden pain. The bone, muscle and tissues slowly going back into place while white blood cells patched up.

"Sun flames can't fully heal immediately so I'll just set your leg back in place. The injury isn't that grave anymore, but it will not work as good as new yet. Give it time." Ryohei said and started bandaging his leg,"This should do for now."

Tsuna smiled softly, feeling the pain slip away,"Thank you."

Ryohei grinned,"I'm make sure to put more Sun flames on it every 4 hours to speed up the process!" He gave a thumbs up.

Tsuna laughed lightly,"Thanks, doctor." He said jokingly.

Ryohei protested,"That's not true! It's just that my doctor kept teaching all about medical stuff! He says it might help in the future and it did!!" He huffed,"EXTREME!"

"Well?" Mukuro questioned, raising an eyebrow,"Should we stay here for now and go out later, or should we leave immediately?"

"I say we stay! Sawada needs to rest!" Ryohei spoke up.

"I.. I want to take a break.." Chrome said.

"IM TIRED!" Lambo complained.

"Tch. I don't really care." Gokudera clicked his tongue in annoyance.

"Haha!" Yamamoto laughed,"I don't mind either!"

"...." Enma stated silent for some time, till he spoke,"Whatever Tsuna choses, that's what I'll go for."

Mukuro turned towards the brunette. Exhaustion obvious in his now brown eyes,"Well? What's your answer?"

Tsuna bit his lip and thought about it.

If they left immediately, they might find Giotto faster. If they stayed, they could recover most of their energy and could find Giotto easier...

"I... I want to go." Tsuna decided, clenching his hands,"I want to find Giotto before anything bad happens ..."

The instinct in the back of his mind told him to get out as soon as possible.

Mukuro was shocked, he really thought that the brunette would choose to stay. He smirked,"Kufufufu~" he laughed,"You never fail to amuse me, Sawada Tsunayoshi."

"I... I don't mind." Chrome said,"Let's go."

"If stupid Tsuna says so, I guess I'll go." Lambo said, acting important.

"Haha! I agree with Tsuna!" Yamamoto laughed care-freely.

Gokudera grunted in agreement.

Enma smiled,"I say we go."

Mukuro chuckled."I guess I agree as well."

The only one who objected the idea was Ryohei,"NO WAY!" He shouted,"SAWADA NEEDS REST!"

"I'm fine." Tsuna reassured,"Really, after what you did, I feel great!"

"It's still important to get rest!" Ryohei protested,"If a body is tired and overworks itself, the injury won't heal, it will only get worst!"

"I'll make sure to take it easy!" Tsuna said,"Please! I'm worried about Giotto!"

Ryohei sighed, unable to hold his will to fight against Tsuna,"Fine!" He exclaimed,"But you shouldn't overwork yourself, okay?! I'll even carry you!"

Tsuna laughed,"Thank you."

With that decided, they set off. Tsuna was being carried by Ryohei on his back while the others walked. Except for Lambo, who hang out on Gokudera's head.

Once again, they carefully made their way to the exit of the experimental labs. Being careful of the debris underneath their feet.

Tsuna sighed and closed his eyes, thinking back in his memories.

"Lacie?" Young Tsuna questioned his sister,"Hey, Lacie, what's this?"

The ruby eyed girl turned around to face her brother with a smile,"Oh this?" She pointed at the turtle in her brother's grasp,"That's a turtle."

--"Tsuna stay here, okay?" He heard Ryohei's voice say,"I'll be back, I just got to check on something." With that, he heard feet dashing off somewhere as he felt himself sitting on something.--

"Turtle...?" Tsuna repeated and got a nod in response from Lacie,"This turtle was under a tree!"

"Under a tree?" Lacie questioned,"That's weird."

"Can we keep it?" Tsuna asked, his innocent doe eyes brightening in excitement,"Please?"

Lacie chuckled,"Let's ask mum and dad, okay?"

Tsuna grinned,"Hai~!"

--Tsuna felt the world shaking.

His eyes snapped open, they were wide in fright,"I-is it happening again?!" He questioned.

"HANG ON TO SOMETHING!" Was his only response.

Everything moved fast, like someone clicked the acceleration button in a video.

The ceiling and walls fell, but the number of them falling was much greater than before. Which could only mean one thing, the explosion was much more destructive than the last.

Alarms were ringing in his head, shouting him to move. But he couldn't. His body couldn't move, he was frozen.

"TSUNA!" He heard a shout, a familiar shout.

"Ryohei!" He shouted back at the voice, his eyes wide in fear. His body as shaking as well as the ground.

Tsuna heard a large crack. His eyes widen even more. He looked up and saw a large chunk of the ceiling making its way down towards him.

His mouth was agape, letting out a silent scream. Tears started brimming in his eyes. Was this his end?

Suddenly, Tsuna felt his body harshly being shoved away from the large threat.

"Huh...?"

Tick tock tick tock tick tock....

This time, he really did let out a scream,"AAAAHHH!!" Tsuna gripped his head and cried.

The shaking stopped and like the shaking, time seemed to stop.

All that he could feel was pain. Not physical pain but...

In front of him laid a dear friend. A friend that sacrificed himself just for him.

Under the ruble was Ryohei. The one that pushed him out of the way was Ryohei. The voice belonged to Ryohei. The one who healed him was Ryohei. The one to die... Was Ryohei.

"H-hey... S-stop crying... B-be a man.." Ryohei said, just above whisper.

Tears kept pouring, no matter how much Tsuna wanted it to stop. He sobbed,"I-I'm so sorry..." He croaked out,"It was my fault for not moving out of the way..."

"N-no..." The pristine haired boy protested,"It... Was m-my fault... F-for leaving y-you in ...the f-first place.."

Under the debris, his body was squished under its heavy weight. Blood started dyeing the ground in Crimson red. The boxer coughed, more red blood decorated the place.

"H-hey..." He coughed out,"T-take ... Th-this..." Ryohei brought out his only free arm. His entire limb was shaking uncontrollably. Inside his hand, was a packet of pills.

"T-t-take these... E-every f-four h-hours..." Ryohei said in a hushed voice,"S-since I can't d-do it m-myself.. They'll ... H-h-help your l-leg."

"Don't.. Don't tell me that.. The reason you left was because..." Tsuna stopped and broke down in more tears. He whined,"Why... WHY?!" He shouted, grabbing the dying boy's hand,"WHY COULDN'T I MOVE?!"

"E-every.. One... Gets... S-scared..." Ryohei's eyes started becoming unfocused,"M-maybe..... That's... W-why.... B-but.... I... Don't.. H-hate you.. T-Tsuna.. .."

"WHY?!" The brunette kept screaming in denial,"HATE ME! I DESERVE TO BE HATED!" He hiccuped and his shouts turned into a whisper,"Please...."

However there was no response from the person in front of him.

Tsuna opened his eyes. And through blurry vision he saw Sasagawa Ryohei's corpse smiling softly like he was simply sleeping.

Knowing he had to accept the fact that the boxer was gone, Tsuna whispered,"Good night, Ryohei. May we meet again another time... My Sun."

With a click, time started moving again and the brunette heard a shout beyond the ruble.

"TSUNA!! WHERE ARE YOU?!"

He sniffled and clenched his fist,"IM HERE!!" He responded with all his might.

Now that his mind was clearer, Tsuna noticed his surroundings. He was trapped.

"We'll be there soon!" He heard a shout again.

He didn't respond, knowing that they will keep their word. The brunette turned his attention to the packet of pills in the corpse's hands.

"Thank you." He thanked and accepted the last gift he received from the pristine haired boy.

His warm hand made contact with the other and he felt the warmth slowly draining from it.

Then Tsuna heard the sound of ruble being moved. He turned towards the direction of the sound.

A large piece of the debris moved slowly and light shines through the cracks, granting its presence in the tiny cave.

"Tsuna! You're safe!" Yamamoto exclaimed in relief, however, once his eyes rested on the dead body of their friend, he froze.

"He... He saved me." Tsuna said, looking down,"I couldn't do anything..."

Yamamoto moved closer to the body and smiled softly,"Thank you." Tears swelled up in his eyes,"We'll miss you, buddy."

Soon, the others arrived and grieved for the lost friend.

Soon enough, they gathered themselves again and was determined to make sure their friend's sacrifice wasn't in vain. Now, Yamamoto was carrying Tsuna, filling up Ryohei's duty.

The brunette closed his eyes, a single tear fell from his right eye but he held strong. He made a silent prayer,'Any God or Goddess out there, please, I beg of you, make sure my friend is safe in heaven...'

----------------------------------------------

Well.. Hello. It's me. I updated really late, I'm sorry. I just kept procrastinating!! And--- I had a really busy week!

High school entrance examsssssssssss!!!

Anyways, I decided to go with the idea I had last chapter.
You might have guessed it or not, but I compared the votes and decided that --- OPPS, spoilers~

I'll tell you when this story ends.

Hope this chapter was enough to satisfy you all, it is quite a big chapter.

And yes, Ryohei died. No flukes. He died for reals. The only reason how he managed to talk with Tsuna till he died was cause of his sun flames. But of course, even with that, he couldn't avoid death.

Oh well, that's it from me.

End Of Chapter.
