Chapter 13

Things are going to get intense in this chapter! See more notes at the end please!

-------------------------------------------

Whenever I would read a book, or to be more specifically– A romance book, there would somehow be a part where meeting the other person made their world lighten up and everything start to sparkle.

I wanted to experience that sparkle, however romance was not a thing I am interested in. I don't think ill ever be interested in it.

However, I would like to see the world sparkle, even just once, because everything was so dull.

Dull. Boring. Suffocating. Uncaring. And other words.

Hey, do you know why I am here? I could be enjoying life and laughing heartly right now, but Im here.

So, why am I here?

Why are there people here?

Where did the joy in life go?

Where was it in the first place?

I don't remember.

Why don't I remember?

Tell me the reason of life, why was I born?

Why are humans so cruel?

Why are humans so selfish?

Why do I have to suffer along with the other children?

Why did I meet such people?

Was I always this way?

Im sure somewhere along the road I went off tracked.

But, where is the right track?

Theres no one to guide me so just answer me.

How can I still smile here?

I know it wasn't fake, so how can I even smile when I'm suffering?

Does Yamamoto know the answer?

Why are people aggressive? Why am I even mad right now?

Does Gokudera know the answer?

How can I even be close to people?

Does Hibari know the answer?

Despite being me, why do I even try?

Does Chrome and Mukuro know the answer?

Why do people crave attention?  Is it because they are lonely? I could relate.

Does Lambo know the answer to that?

How can I still be loud after screaming so much?

Does Ryohei know the answer to that?

And finally, Why am I, me?

Does Giotto know the answer to that..?

I don't get it.

Will ever get my answers?

Don't even bother. Answering these questions are useless, are they not? Isn't that just the way life is? Confusing. Unfair.

No matter where you are, I'm sure you've asked questions to yourselves at some point.

This is so annoying. Annoying. Annoying. Annoying. Annoying? Annoying. So annoying. SO ANNOYING!

I want answers! But... If I were to get my answers.. Then what? What will I do?

What will happen then?

"Yo Tsuna-kun! How ya doing today?" Said a certain man in a lab coat with a sickening smile on his face.

"I... feel empty.. and heavy. Like just being alive is a great burden. I don't want to do anything at all, like I want to disappear." A boy replied staring blankly at the black and white checkered floor. His voice was very hoarse.

"Oh..?" He smirked, however the child didn't see this, he was lost in his own world," And hows Giotto-kun doing?"

Tic toc tic toc tic toc...

"Does it matter? Im sure he's feeling the same way is he not?" The boy said emotionlessly not moving at all.

Tic toc tic toc tic toc....

"Oya? Are you sure about that? What if he's not? Haven't you noticed? He has been smiling, laughing, and talking so freely; The complete opposite as you! Now do you really think that?" The man taunted, his insane grin grew and his eyes held pure evil intent in them.

". . . . ." The boy kept silent, thinking it over.

Tic toc tic toc tic toc....

The man decided to change the subject but kept on with his intentions," So, is there anything else that happening to you at the moment?" He smirked.

"Lately... Ive been having dreams. The same dream over and over again. In that dream, there was me and someone else... Her name was Lacie. We would be playing around till all of a sudden the sun would turn black and the atmosphere would go cold– the rest are always blurry. A broken beer bottle, yelling, shouting, crying, two adults– one male and one female– Me, cowering in the corner, and finally. . . . –" The boy paused, sobbing," –L-lacie's d-dead body..." The boy chocked out.

The man wrote every single thing down and smiled. He smiled like the story of the child haven't affected him at all. It certainly didn't. Amusement was what was held in his eyes," Now is that it.?" He asked, smiling that sickening smile.

Tic toc tic toc tic toc tic toc...

"I want to disappear..." The boy whispered," Can you grant me my wish..? The sound of the clocks are getting annoying, like they are counting down to something." He pleaded as he finally moved his head to meet the man eyes.

His eyes were dead, completely unfitting for a child. Exhaustion was obvious on his face and his cheeks were sticky from crying.

The man wrote down about the clocks that the boy have been hearing and replied," I can't do anything about that request. However, I can give you some advice." He evilly smiled,as his glasses reflected the light of the room, hiding his eyes.

The child was desperate to make these feelings go away," What is it..?" He whispered, his voice not holding out for long.

The man grinned,"Curse your fate."

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Tsuna's being weird lately!" Yamamoto said, look at the boy he was talking about across to him in their usual table. He was currently in a daze.

"Kufufufu~ It might be because of the experiments~ Its nothing new." Mukuro pointed out.

"But he's never been this way before!!" Yamamoto countered," Even after all the experiments he's been through, he's never been like this!!"

Giotto stared worryingly at his friend, who was in a dazed state, staring at absolutely nothing. His eyes were dead and blank. Bandages were all over him. There wasn't any food in front of him which was unusual.

Giotto knew something was going on, after all why is this only happening to Tsuna and not him too? They are under the same doctor so it didnt make any sense what-so-ever.

Chrome, who was beside him tried shaking him lightly, trying to get him back into reality. It actually worked.

"Huh." Tsuna said dumb founded," W-what were we talking about again?"

"Nothing. You were too out of it for us to talk you!" Gokudera hissed.

"Maa maa, Gokudera. Im sure Tsuna has his reasons." Yamamoto stated," So Tsuna, whats up with you lately?" He asked.

"Ah.. Well, I was thinking about things. Like, my talk with Dr. Kanou, my room thats finished from renovation, and many more." Tsuna replied casually, however there was no emotion in his voice.

None of them were convinced. They knew Tsuna long enough to know that wasn't the reason why, but decided not to push him and go with it.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Later that night, Tsuna sat down on his new bed.

His room was different than before, it almost looked like it got a downgrade, however there was a reason for that. Tuna didn't want anything too fancy.

He decided for his room to be all modern styled.

Tsuna sighed. And decided to grab a book and to pass the time.

He stood up and walked to the shelves and grabbed a random book and sat on a couch and stared at the title, "Meteor."

Tic toc tic toc tic toc...

He opened the first page and the first small paragraph that welcomed him was," I want to disappear. I just want to disappear and let my feelings vanish. Then maybe, just maybe, ill finally be free from the pain."

Tic toc tic toc tic toc...

Tsuna decided to keep on reading the story.

Tic toc tic toc tic toc...

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ciao guys~! Its been a while and I'm very sorry for the long wait.

This chapter was different, because I just want to get on to it already so that I can finally reach the end, but the end won't happen if you don't start it first ;)

The feelings that Tsuna is currently feeling was inspired by... Me.  Because didn't you guys think that "Why are they so happy and cheery? They are being experimented on!" So I decided to put on some angst. Im pretty sure it was a fail at angst, but who cares?  The feelings Tsuna is feeling are at least real. Trust me I know.

Anyways, thank you to those who waited patiently. YOU ALL DESERVE A COOKIE. *GIVES COOKIES* GOOD JOB ALSO FOR READING TILL HERE *GIVES ANOTHER COOKIE* YOU GUYS DESERVED IT ASDFGHJKL.

END OF CHAPTER.
