Things I am grateful for today:
1. The delicious pasta and meatballs I had for dinner tonight.
2. That Mom agreed to help me self off my American Girl dolls and clothes.
3. That I was able to get out of work fifteen minutes early.

What positive changes have I made or experienced in the past year?
I like to think I've become more independent in the past year. I've taken the train twice to visit Tom and Gabi in New York and I spent five weeks away home in Quebec.
While I was in Quebec, I had to keep track of my money and food and figure out how to get around by myself. I felt more like an adult when I was visiting New York with Tom and Gabi than I did during the times I've visited with my mom. She can be overprotective whereas Tom and Gabi take me more out of my comfort zone and encourage me to be independent.
