Synopsis

ALU ORTIZ, a fierce and determined woman with a troubled past, has spent years working hard to turn her life around. Despite her best efforts, her son, Moss, has grown up under the care of her mother. And then, Alu meets Jax Teller, and the two form a complicated bond, one that begins as a fleeting escape from their pain, but soon turns into something much deeper. As Alu helps Jax heal from the heartbreak caused by his failed relationship with Tara Knowles, which in turn, helps both of them confront their pasts and the emotional baggage they've been carrying. 

And as old wounds reopen, Alu must navigate her conflicting roles as mother, lover, sister and friend—fighting for the family she's always wanted. But can she truly rebuild her relationship with her son and make things right, or will it be too late?
