Chapter ~ 13
It was Friday, the most awaited day. Sana's parents bid adieu to Sana early morning as they took a taxi to railway. Sana went to office, finished all her work and left exactly on time to reach home.
She cooked dinner for Sidharth and herself. She took a nice shower to refresh after sweating infront of the stove. She checked her mobile and there was a message from him. He wrote to her that he has missed his flight. She became sad and lied in the bed disheartened.
She kept thinking about him when suddenly the power went off. It was
dark and she got scared. She remembered that the floor was haunted which she had forgotten out off excitement since he was coming. She had no courage to go out of the house to escape from the fear.
She turned on the mobile flash light but her own shadow gave her shiver. She heard some sound from hall and then subtle sound approaching the room. She shivered and picked up a broom lying near and swinged it with full force in the direction of the sound.
"Aaaawwwww"
She dropped the broom and turn on the mobile flash light when she heard his voice.
Sana: Siddu? I.. am sorry!!
She tried holding his arms but he jerked. He sat on the bed rubbing his left arm. She ran into the kitchen and lit the candle and got a pain relief balm. He had his sleeves pulled up still rubbing the area where she hit him.
Sana: Let me apply this!
She touched his hand but he pulls it away. She stares at him and frowns. She forceful pulls his arms and he gives up the idea of retaliation. She rubs the balm on his arm.
Sana: I am sorry! I was scared of the dark and since you messaged you missed the flight, I didn't expect you here.
He didn't speak a word but stared at her.
Sana: Talk to me Siddu! Please, why are you killing me with your silence. I am sorry, I got angry because you didn't inform me of your Bangalore trip. After all I am a human being too and I have emotions too. What if Mumma and baba hadn't come? You would have left me alone for 5 days?
He held her elbow and pulled her closer to him, she looked into his eyes and he kissed her. She stood up on her knees still kissing and pushed him on the bed. The distance and the silence had created a storm of emotions which had just broken. They behaved like a wild beast attacking each other intimately. It was more like they were punishing each other for causing the pain of distancing. They made love very roughly and full of passion.
As it ended the lights were back and they both turned their back, shy and embarrassed of their behaviour. He pulled over the duvet on themself without watching her body. There was absolute silence. They could hear each others heart beat loudly and clearly. Slowly when the beats were in control, she turned around and he raised his head.
Sidharth: I Love you Sana..
Sana: I Love you too Siddu..
They hugged each other and he kissed her forehead. She kissed his chest.
Sana: It's hurting Siddu
She said as she hid her face into his chest. He caressed her bare back under the duvet softly.
Sidharth: I am sorry. It's hurting me as well. Let's sleep like this for sometime.
Sana: Hmm.. I've made dinner for both of us!
Sidharth went back and pulled up her chin with his hand.
Sidharth: Really? I thought I will have to come home and cook for us.
She hit him on his chest smilingly and hid her face back in his chest.
Sidharth: Why am I hungry all of the sudden after hearing that you cooked?
Sana: Ho? {Is it?} (She looked at him in excitement) Chal magh, jaavun khau {Let's go then and have food}
He nodded yes.
Sana: Turn on the other side, I want to go to the bathroom to clean myself.
Sidharth: Hmmm.. That's the disadvantage of doing it in dim candle light.
Sana: Don't you understand that I am feeling shy to come out of the duvet?
Sidharth: If you say, I can switch off the lights again.
Sana: Idiot!
Sidharth: Silly!
Sana: Enough re! Turn to the other side now.
Sidharth: Ok wait!
He turned and she picked up another duvet and rolled around herself, picked her clothes. She limped to the bathroom. Once she was gone. He got up lazily and put on his clothes and he looked at the bed. He panicked as he saw the red stains on it. He rushed to bathroom and banged the door.
Sana: What? Wait?
Sidharth: Sana open the door!
Sana: I said wait for a moment.
Sidharth: Sweetheart please. (Pleaded)
She had already bathed. Hearing his heavy voice, she rolled herself in a towel without wiping her wet body and opened the door. He stepped in and hugged her tightly.
Sidharth: Sorry Sana, I am so so sorry my jaan!
Sana: For what Siddu?
Sidharth: For hurting you? I saw the blood stains on the bed.
Sana looked at him. His eyes were full of tear. She held his cheeks in both her hands.
Sana: Siddu! We both are in pain. We both lost our virginity. Pleasure comes with pain. And.. I lose litres of red fluid every month from my body and it's painful with no pleasure at all. Don't blame yourself because I participated in this act equally with you. (She whispers in his ears standing on her toes) ..and I loved it..
Sidharth looked at her as she winked and he hugged her again placing a soft kiss on her ears.
Sana: Now please allow me to wipe myself and dress up.
Sidharth: Okay!
Sana: Hmm?? What okay? Go out!
Sidharth: (smiled) I love you. (Walked out)
Sana: I love you too.

.
She went to the kitchen and heated the food and simultaneously changed the bedsheets. Once he finished his bathing, they both sat to eat dinner.
Sidharth: Woaah!! Sana, this looks delicious.. hope it's safe to eat! Would you mind eating the first bite and let me observe you for few minutes before I gorge?
He teased her earning a smack.
Sana: Shut up and eat! I have already tasted it multiple times while cooking.
Sidharth: Ohh!! That means it's edible and you aren't going to eat right? Since you already ate!
Sana: When did I say I ate? I said I tasted it.
Sidharth: Tasting multiple times is eating sweetheart.. (showed his tongue)
Sana: (frowned) Fine! You only eat.
She stood up to walk away but he pulls her close and makes her sit on his lap and feeds her the food.
Sidharth: Stop acting like a typical wife now!
Sana: Why? How else should I act like, if I am your wife? (Feeds him)
Sidharth: Just the way you did earlier. You know I loved you since ages.
Sana: (Feeds him) I did too but I never realized Siddu. The day you left to Bangalore, I realized it that I loved you even before I knew what was love. I didn't love Shivam at all. It was just an infatuation. Infact when you came to Mumbai, I cried and missed you a lot. I didn't miss him at all.
Sidharth: (feeds her) ..and I knew I loved you always. When you told me you like Shivu dada, I was broken. I decided to cut off all the bonds with you but I could never forget you. There wasn't a single day of my life when I didn't miss you!
Sana: (feeds him) Why didn't you tell me then Siddu? Our lives could have been less painful.
Sidharth: (feeds her) No Sana, trust me, we would have lost our friendship as well. Even if you loved me, you didn't knew about it. You mistook your emotions towards dada. You would have broke off with me totally. The 6 years gap would have completely wiped off our bond. Just as the diamonds are derived once treated with great pressure, our bond became stronger.
Sana: (Feeds him) I was so silly na Siddu, I would have lost a gem like you. The more I paid attention to you, the more I realized my love for you. You won't leave me ever na Siddu?
Sidharth: Never Sana. I might stop breathing but not loving you. I have realized that a hard way, staying away from you. You know everything happens for good but I repent loosing Dada.
Sana: I feel bad too Siddu, but it wasn't in our hands! By the way, how was the food?
Sidharth: Huh? Did we eat?
The plate was empty and they didn't realise that they finished food lost in their conversation.
Sidharth: Serve me some more to taste. (He laughs)
She serves him a little quantity of food.
Sidharth: Wow! Sana, it is good but mine was the best. (He winks)
Sana: Yeah! I should have poured some half packet of chilli powder and eliminated the salt totally. (Sarcastically)
Sidharth: So you learnt cooking from Aatya these 5 days?
Sana: Yes! I wanted to cook tasty food for you but you can never praise.
Sidharth: Vallah, vallah.. Subhanallah, Masallah.. kya khana banayi begum.. qayamat dha di, katal kar di tumna.. khaane ke saath saath maiy mera ungliyan bhi chaba jatu su.. {Hyderabadi slang - Superb, what a delicacy wifey. Totally killing it. I would eat my fingers along with the food)
Sana: (Laughs) Where did you learn that?
Sidharth: My roommate was from Hyderabad. I learnt it from him but not sure if it's perfect though.. (winked)
Sana: I loved what you said though.. (giggles)
It was a tiring yet a best day of their life. They both slept peacefully hugging each other.
