I'm sorry I'm sorry. I just wasn't proud of my writing. But, I am back and I'm going to try and make this better than the first version. Completely unrushed and something I can proudly display on my profile.
Now let's get to it shall we?

"I swear to god Kai if you even look at me, I will kill you."

Kai rolled his eyes. You really hoped one day they would pop out, because it was really annoying when he did that.

"You're the one who couldn't keep her mouth shut. Now we're stuck together. Don't squeeze me so hard." He hissed at you.

You had the tempting desire to smack him in the spiky head. He was the one flying the dragon faster than necessary. It was his fault you were hugging his waist too tight. Yet, like always, he can never take the blame. Like this morning.

While Sensei Wu was giving you your mission, Kai decided to start pinching and poking your sides. And there was nothing brotherly about it, like when you and Cole do it it to each other. He practically jammed his finger in between your ribs and pinched you so hard skin came up.

He had pinched you particularly hard, which was when you squealed in pain, and turned around to stomp on Kai's foot.

Then some how you both ended up on the floor pulling each other's hair and rolling around. With, of course, the Ninja and Wu as audience.

It took ten minutes to get you two off each other.

A new record. Last time it was fifteen.

"Quit flying like a mad man!" You said in irritation. "You'll hit something!"

Kai let go of the reins, which made you squeeze him tighter in fear, and flailed his arms around.

"Hit what? We're in the fucking sky! What is there to hit!?"

"Birds." You mutter weakly, relaxing your hold on him a fraction as he took a hold of the reins again.

Even though you couldn't see his face this time, you were more than sure Kai rolled his eyes again.

"Birds. Baka" He repeated under his breath. Which didn't help since you were literally right behind him.

You had a feeling he knew and didn't care.

You decided to not care if you accidentally sunk your nails into his sides.

If he felt your nails, he didn't show it. He instead turned to you with a serious expression.

"You know what to do when we land, right?"

You nod, wondering if he thought you were dumb. Of course you remember.

All of what you caught during Sensei's debriefing before Kai and you were at each other's throats had you anxious to get there.

"I'm supposed to get the kid out. I know." You said solemnly.

Apparently a group of serpentine with a mysterious leader ( Who, according to Nya, was not serpentine) had kidnapped a kid who came from a wealthy family, and was demanding ransom.

The group of criminals wanted their money by eight AM, or else they would throw the kid off of Borg industries.

Jay had told you how high the building was, being a Borg fanboy and all. If the kid fell, he would die. There was no saving him.

Kai was supposed to cause a distraction so you could sneak the child out of harms way. Meanwhile, Zane, Cole, Nya, Lloyd, and Jay were going to come in at all sides and do a surprise attack.

Despite your growing anxiety of the events to come, you couldn't help but be a little excited. It was your first mission. This is what you've been training for the last year and a half.

Yet, as Kai brought up so many times before, you had no spinjitzu, let alone elemental powers.

So why would Sensei Wu send you on your first mission unprepared power wise? They may be serpentine, but you've learned to never underestimate the enemy. Even if they have no powers.

You found this out sparring with Kai, who like the other ninja, were restricted to use their powers when practicing with you.

The thought literally was forced into the back of your mind when Kai suddenly made a steep sky dive.

"ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL US?!" You screeched, really digging your nails into his sides.

"Pft! Me? Hell no! You......maybe Just a little."

And then with a sudden jerk, the dragons rapid decent stopped and you were now gliding between the buildings of the city.

"We're almost there." Kai said over his shoulder "Get ready."

You hoped so. You guys were late, and if that boy died it would be on your tardiness.

You nod, even though he couldn't see you. You could hear people from down below cheering at the sight of the red ninjas dragon, probably not knowing why he was flying threw the city, but not caring.

Some stealth mode. Why not fly in the cover of the clouds?

But if Kai wasn't flying so low in the city, you wouldn't have seen the thirteen year old boy standing on top of a building.

And it wasn't Borg industries.

"Kai, look!" You yelled over the wind, pointing at the building. It wasn't as tall as Borg industries, but it would kill if someone fell.

"What the hell?" Kai said, just as confused as you. "You don't think that's...."

"I think it is."

"Why would the kid be on a different building? Wasn't he supposed to be at-"

"Unless." You cut in "it's foul play. There might be no kid at Borg industries. And if there is, it's a decoy."

"That would explain why the others haven't contacted us" Kai said, now understanding. "But that doesn't explain why he's here. If they think the parents are paying ransom, what do they have to gain by setting up a decoy at Borg industries?"

Good question. No answer.

"We need to contact the others." Kai said.

"There's no time." You said, checking your watch. It was seven fifty. "Unless everyone is suddenly the master of speed, they can't be here in ten minutes. We were never going to make it anyway there anyways."

"So, what, we go solo? If this is the real deal, how do you expect to fight of a crowd of serpentine, some shady guy, and save a little boy?"

"Its not just going to be me, hot head. You and me are both fighting together. As revolting as that is, we have a life to save with no back up."

Kai looked at you, then the boy standing on top of the building, then sighed. "Whatever. Let's go."

With that, be flicked the reins and you were zooming towards your first mission.
