Next day came. I never wanted to face you again not because I was flustered but because I was embarrassed this time.

But guess what, I had to attend school and I knew you were going to be there too, but there was nothing I could do.

I entered the class and sat down on one of the chairs placed at the farthest corner of the classroom. I wasn't a backbencher but I definitely was a loner.

You didn't come. I waited for your arrival but you never came. I never wanted to face you but that's when I realized that, I wanted to.

Class ended. I packed my bags and was about to leave when someone patted my shoulder from the back. I flinched.

I wasn't used to anyone talking to me but just because of you, someone did.

"Someone is calling you outside." that boy just said that and left.

At first I wanted to ignore and leave but then something in me wanted to face what was calling me outside.

I reached the mentioned place and saw you standing in the corner.

I was about to leave once again but you shouted from behind,

"Hey"
"Wait, can we please talk? I swear I don't bite."

Your words halted my steps and my face flushed red once again. I was sure that I was going to faint, but I didn't.

You approached me and held my wrist in a gentle hold.

"If you don't mind, can we get to know each other." you said that in the softest voice possible.

My soul left my body. I wasn't used to someone standing this close to me and you even held my wrist.

I didn't reply and the situation became awkward. You left my wrist and was about to leave when,

"Yeah I would love that."
I swear I wasn't the one who replied. It wasn't me.

You smiled and I smiled back.

I wasn't in my control that day. It wasn't me that day. I don't know from where I got that much courage but, I was glad I did.
