Skye: "Chase? Stop, this isn't funny we-"

RC: *smirks* "I already told you. Skye is it? Oh so your that idiotic pup that Chase tried to protect." *scoffs* "How pathetic."

He says rolling his eyes. Clearly in a hateful mood.

RC: "Well...he failed."

RC then takes out his deadly sharpened claws, looking at them in a daze but then looks at Skye, smiling devilishly.

Skye: *gulps* "If your not Chase, then w-who are you?" She asked trembling.

RC: "Ha! He hasn't even told you? That son of a b*tch. This is less fun then I thought it would be. Well I guess I could tell you, oh he would hate that wouldn't he?"

The possessor then snickers to himself sickly. Given Skye a weird, scary vibe off of him. She was terrified yet captivated.

Skye: "W-What...exactly?"

RC: *grins* "Why sweet little cockapoo, there's a lot to explain but I'll keep it short. I do have a job to do after all~."

As he explains the majority of details he circles Skye keeping eye contact at all times. Like predator locked on prey. This made Skye skeptical and very watchful as she also kept close eye lock with the psychopath.

RC: "First off, MINE NAME'S RC!!! So you can quit calling me that mutt of a name, Chase. God I swear the last time the other girl didn't understand I nearly cut her throat out with my first slash. Ah good times~."

Skye: *gulp* "B-but aren't you guys the same perso-."

In two seconds flat Skye was pinned on the ground with RC's claws extended on the side of her cheek. The other side of her face was toward the cold and wet grass, she was heavily breathing by then, who knew what he was capable of.

RC: *chuckles darkly* "NO! And don't you ever and I mean EVER! Refer me to him! I AM NOTHING LIKE HIM! I am far superior!!! For one..."

RC, to make sure he was heard loud and clear with his low, demanding, and harsh dark voice, he ended up getting inches away from Skye's terrified face. He leaned in and whispered in a too friendly tone making Skye shiver.

RC: "I'm not afraid to kill. Just your luck, huh?"

As Skye just lays there, his claws start digging into her skin, pass her fur, his rough, dark, and cold-blooded killer voice echoing through her entire body. Talk about anger issues. She then started squirming and trying to escape his grip on her. But it was pointless.

Skye's POV: *heavily breathing* "He's absolutely nothing like Chase. RC is insane! Chase would never hurt me. *gulps* But RC he would...he won't even hesitate if he wanted to k-kill me!" *gasps* "He's going to kill me!!!"

Skye: "RC...please-."

RC: *growls* "Don't even try to plead with me! You can't make me feel anything! Now hold still b*tch, you won't die, well that is if your immortal."

Then out of now where, RC got tackled, hard. RC wasn't prepared for the attack and got caught off guard. He was now pinned down, the reaction was groaning while trying to figure out who had made that even possible! He looked up snarling and even more outraged than ever.

It was none other than the forest dweller herself.

Everest: *glares* "What's gotten into you Chase?!"

That's when RC snapped even more and lashed out a painful claw-full scratch, basically cutting Everest's face to the side. She fell back, holding her side which was now bleeding, badly. RC got up glaring and observing his newest victim. 

RC: "Clarity has! And who the f*ck are you? A wannabe hero?"

Everest: "What?! No, I'm Everest, you should know that. Gosh why are you like..."

As RC raises an eyebrow in confusion, Everest finally hit realization. His eye's hue were all wrong.

Everest: "Rage Change." She said with her pupils enlarged, not believing her own words for a second.

RC: "Well finally! I'm getting through to someone. But your still going go pay for the h*ll of pain you caused me!"

Skye: *tilts head* "Rage change?"

Everest: "Chase told me all about you and your...well...style." She said dodging Skye's questionable look.

RC: "He did? I'm surprised you would be the second after...Ci-AHH!"

RC's paws automatically flew to his head which throbbed back, closing both eyes he moved his paws to cover his ears clearly feeling intense pain. He stops for a moment and catches his breath and targets Everest now for causing it.

RC: *growls fiercely* "Your both dead!!!"

During the whole pause, Everest had gone to help Skye get up but struggled herself trying to avoid her own wound. Only one thing came to the minds of both of them at the same time.

Skye & Everest: "Run!"

They did. And with the adrenaline coursing through their veins, they were easily putting quite a huge gap between themselves and RC. Even if throughout the forest there was some debris left out, they kept running with all their might and will to live.

Puddles where placed here and there but they could care less of their fur getting a little soaked. They barely cared about anything at this point, nothing was more important than getting out of the forest alive!

Skye: *pants* "Maybe we lost him." She said resting against a tree.

Everest: "Yeah...maybe."

But as she glanced back to check, not even 10 feet away was RC running full speed. He was furious. He's blazing red, devil eyes were the only thing that made him so easy to spot. But the girls didn't want to find out just how blood red the eyes were willing to get.

They ran just a couple more feet when suddenly Skye yelp after twisting her front, right paw on a fallen branch.

Everest: "Skye come on, get up! He's right on our tails!"

Skye: "I-I can't! If I walk on my paw it'll just get worse!"

Everest went to Skye's aid but as she did she froze. She could hear RC steps approaching them at any moment now.

Everest: *gasps* "Quick Skye, we have to hide, behind a tree now!"

She helped Skye to her feet as she nodded in response to her plan of action. They got to a semi close tree and crouched down, staying low means staying hidden.

Skye: "Do you hear RC-."

Everest: "Shhh!" *whispers* "He's here."

Skye a little annoyed of Everest silencing her chose to debate, but as she looked around the tree there he was. The one and only. Great.

RC: *growls* "Your both f*cking pathetic! Hiding?!" *chuckles* "I wouldn't do that if I was you."

Scared to death, Everest and Skye both held their breaths trying their hardest not to move, in fear of making a sound. It was all quiet except for RC panting and in between breaths cussing and threats was all he would say.

It's a good thing that their whole surroundings were corner to corner covered in trees, so the girl's location blended in perfectly. All they had to do was wait and not get caught. If they did, they could kiss their lives goodbye.

RC: "Come out come out wherever you are!" He said in a maniac voice.

Everest: *whispers* "He's crazy!"

Skye: "Obviously." She said then looking at Everest in an annoyed fit.

Without either one knowing, RC was going around trees listening for the voice from Skye that he heard prior to when he started searching, very quietly.

Everest: *sarcastic* "Oh well I'm sorry, I just wanted to point that out."

Skye: "It's already pointed out!" She said in a high and angered pitch whisper.

Everest: "I know Chase told me. Now hush or he'll find us."

And little did Everest know that what she had finish stating was true. RC was growling about seven trees away from them, at any moment he would pounce.

Skye: "What do you mean he told you?"

RC's ears perked up and started walking in their direction. Six trees closer.

Everest: *sighs* "The day you guys broke up, he told me. Remember how I told you back at the lookout that I...overheard you and Marshall's deal?"

Skye: "Yeah...but rage change, what did that have to do with it?"

Everest: "He said he can't forgive because of it. That if what Marshall said was true, which it was, and Chase found out and you tried to get back together with him well RC would happen. He couldn't trust you."

Skye: "But he wouldn't hurt anyone. Right?"

Everest: "Well...the thing is he did and has before."

Skye: "Who?"

Everest: "Um...Marshall." She croaked.

Skye's eyes widened for two reasons: one was because she couldn't even imagine Chase literally murdering his former friend! And second, Chase and Everest had a one on one time with each other sharing secrets like who he almost killed. Chase was dating her! Not Everest! So why did he not tell her?

Five trees away.

Skye: "But why you? Why did he tell you?!"

Offended, Everest gave Skye one of her famous glares and just kept her mouth shut, not trying to start anything. Eventually, Skye protested with the thoughts of continuing the conversation, so she let out what the real problem was.

Skye: "I should have listened. Now we're both going to die because of me!"

3 trees closer.

Everest: "Be quiet. Do you want to him to kill us sooner?" She spoke still a little hurt.

Skye shakes her head no and kept quiet. Good thing too because RC was getting far to close for comfort.

Three trees away and counting.

RC: *growls* "F*ck. Lost 'em." He said now resorting to his sense of smell.

Everest put her ears straight up, straining to hear all RC's sudden movements. Nothing, for all she knew.

Everest: *whispers* "Let's keep moving. With distance comes help, so that's our best bet."

Skye: *whispers* "Moving to where?"

Everest swallows a lump in her throat, it has been bugging her nonstop for a while now, until finally she decided to cope with it. She cleared her throat, ready to release her plan to the open.

Everest: "A-Away. Where going to run away. For good, on a n-new island." She said a little to quiet, still staring elsewhere.

Skye: "What?! Are you crazy?!"

She couldn't help it, she had to express her emotion to this outrageous and bizarre idea.

The start of a countdown. A deadly one had begun. RC grinned mischievously at the poor slip up.

Everest covered Skye's big mouth with one of her paws, startled with panic.

Everest: "Shut it!" She said also trying her hardest to tame her own thoughts. "It'll be fine. First: we get out of this forest."

She brushed past and continued, Skye on the other hand just froze with her jaw hanging in a worried and aghast sort of way.

A new island?

Skye: *gulp* "That is if we get out."

She then limped her way over to Everest. Who had a determined, stern expression on. It clashed with the scar she had.

Skye's POV: "We shouldn't be running away, that never helps. It'll catch up to us. Has she done this before. Running away?"

Turns out she wasn't the only one who had experience with running away. Ever since 15 he's been running away and still is. That was all going to change today.

Just leave me alone...it's better for the both of us...

Ringing inside Skye's head, along with 'I should've listened', kept being overplayed so much she couldn't even count how many annoy times it was said.

Skye set aside the irritating memory and focused on her newly made complication. She took charged and got in the way of Everest's tracks and spoke with such high confidence that she didn't know she even had.

Skye: "We CAN'T and WON'T go run off to a new island." She said firmly.

Everest shocked for only some short seconds, got so ticked off that as she took a step closer to Skye, she looked as if she was about to slap all Skye's confidence away, but she didn't that wasn't like her anymore.

Everest: "Then what do you think we should do? Hmm?! We could use a genius right now."

Skye: "I don't know. But what I do know is that running isn't going to fix our problems. My whole family knew that...my dad would always say 'Face your problems and make what you want happen'."

Everest: "Wow. My dad would only say 'Books before boys because boys bring babies'. Not really the best advice at the time, also you can see what my choice was." She finished with a meaningful smile.

A moment of pause then fell over them.

Everest: "So we go b-back?"

Skye: "Oh heck no. I may sound brave about it, but I'm not stupid."

Then out of nowhere a dark voice was heard, chuckling. As one, both girls stood back to back, their expressions filled with terror.

RC: "Well that's hurtful. You not happy to see me?" He said revealing himself from the shadows of the trees.

Everest: "Can it you lunatic!"

RC didn't even blink at the remark, he was simply use to it.

RC: *rolls eyes* "Like your any better. But I think we all know I didn't come here to just talk."

Skye: "Yeah we already heard enough of that." She jumped in.

RC looked at her, from head to toe. With an unimpressed frown, questioning why they weren't fully scared. He got his answer.

Everest: "Hey RC, when your done checking out my friend here, well I was-."

RC: "Ha! I don't love anything." He snapped.

He then started approaching ever so slightly. But suddenly he stopped, dead in his tracks. RC observed both of the girls and let out a noise shaking his head in disbelief.

RC: "But Chase does. Wow he still likes her?!" He said talking to no one in particular.

Skye: "Chase still loves someone?"

RC: "Apparently, he still loves one of his exes...one who he recently had contact with."

Skye's whole face perked up and showed all signs of awareness.

Skye's POV: "I was the last one to talk to him...does he love me?"

She flushed at the thought. Buf as she was about to speak Everest bet her to it as if thinking the same thing.

Everest: "Can you be more specific?"

RC furrowed his eyebrows in a puzzled state but he figured out what Everest meant to get through him.

RC: "You both think that-huh hmm."

He stopped himself short, not only because he thought was hilarious but he briefly thought of an idea to alone him privilege in attacking.

RC: "Just to let you know guys, you both would've been dead already if it wasn't for his pact."

Skye: "What are you talking about?!" She said clearly flustered.

RC: "Why don't you ask him yourself."

All of a sudden RC collapsed to the ground, like finally being able to sleep after 24/7 hours of work the other day. As one the girl's both looked at each other and then at the body of the fiend.

Everest: "Is he dead?! Did we kill him?!"

Skye: "No! Look, he's still breathing."

Just to be sure Everest picked up one of many fallen tree branches that littered the forest and starting poking RC with the other end of the stick while holding the other end with the tip of her mouth.

Everest: "I twink twat he is wust unconwis." She said barely audible.

Skye: "I think that he's just unconscious."

Everest spit out the stick gave an eye roll. But later got closer to examine.

Everest: "Aw he looks so peaceful when he's asleep."

Skye: "Um...like I mean your not wrong." She giggled.

Finally RC started groaning and stiring to awaken. But the thing was that it didn't sound like RC.

The German Shepherd blinked his eyes open and that's when they knew. It wasn't RC.

Skye & Everest: "Chase!"

Without any hesitantion, both of them gave Chase a massive hug, relieved.

Chase: "Guys? I'm not sure if you know but I need oxygen to live!"

Skye and Everest both instantly loosened their passionate group hug and allowed oxygenated blood to flow through Chase once again.

Skye & Everest: "Sorry." They said in unison also followed with light blushes.

As Chase got up he felt his head and just noticed his position.

Chase: "We're you both um watching me?"

A/N: I'm sooooooo sorry for the super late update! I was basically a little stressed out with finals and I did want at least a break from writing but I WILL update again very soon! Plus I'm on vacation. So yeah hopefully you guys can forgive me and still be as excited for me newest updates that's all for now byeeeeeeeeee!
