Waves of Azure
===
Your POV
Your body was weak, yet your motivation was not. You take a careful step up to the sword, and, after looking back at the two, you turn around and place a finger on the hilt. You felt a wave of dark magic wash over you, putting you in enscruciating pain.
You grit your teeth as you cry out in pain, before placing a second hand on the hilt. The sword's magic was trying to enter you. So, you close your eyes, and with all your might, you try your best to expel the magic from your body. What you didn't know–because of your closed eyes–that there was a dark purple mist shrouding your arms. The harder you tried expelling the magic, the quicker the mist slowly diminished.
Revali and Urbosa watched with shocked eyes, as they saw the mist. Might you be strong enough to wield the sword?
You breathe deeply, ignoring the throbbing ache of your body, and the sharp pains from your arm. Opening your eyes, you position your feet in a stance to draw the sword out. Your eyes glow the dark purple of the sword, which Revali saw as he walked around you to see your face.
You then grip the hilt tightly, and you wrench it up. It did not budge at first, yet you persisted. You felt your energy drain–whether that was from the sword, or simply completing such a strenuous task, you did not know.
With a few seconds passed, the sword moves a millimetre, which sends a wave of relief down your spine. You pull on it harder, and it moves a centimetre, this time. Your arms were aching, screaming out to you to stop, yet you couldn't.
You angle the sword upward, and tug on it further, gritting your teeth from the sheer pain. You plant your feet firmer into the ground as you pull on it with all your might. The energy in your body was gone, yet you moved anyway.
After a few seconds, on the last tug of the sword, you feel it come loose from the rock. A gasp slips past your lips as the sword emerges from its resting place. You grip the sword hilt with your left hand, moving the sword to be in front of you. It was free.
The Vantablack Blade was yours.
"Y/n?" Urbosa' voice sounds beside you, causing you to turn your head. "Do you... feel any different?" She asks, her gaze set specifically on your glowing eyes.
"Not really," you respond, wondering where you were going to put the sword. Until the same glowing purple mist shrouds the sword. When it dissipates, a beautiful black sheath shrouded the blade. You throw your original sword off your back, securing the Vantablack Blade on. After the hilt left your hand's grip, your eyes return to normal.
"We should probably head back now." She says sharply, turning on her heel, walking back into the tunnel.

Revali had decided to carry you the entire way back, as you had completely run out of energy. Although he wasn't kind about it–he kept carrying on that you were so heavy, and that he was exhausted from carrying you. To which you just rolled your eyes and had said every time; then why bother carrying me? His reactions were priceless each and every time.
It was about midday by the time that Revali flew you and Urbosa back to the other Champions. As soon as your feet touched the ground, however, your legs buckled from under you. You collapse onto the floor, only just managing to keep your eyes open. Mipha lets out a worried gasp and rushes over to your side. She notices the red-stained Champions' cloth wrapped around your upper arm. Her fingers lightly brush against the makeshift bandaging, just as Revali and Urbosa land.
"Oh my god," Urbosa mutters, her gaze fixed on you. You were currently lying on the ground, cradling your bleeding arm as if you were about to die.
"Just what the hell happened down there?" Daruk exclaims worriedly. He stands a little further back as Mipha unravels the cloth. Her eyes were welcomed by the gory sight of an infected gash, specks of dirt and grit lodged harshly in it. Except it was dotted with a sickly purple–the magic of Malum's sword, no doubt. It would be something Mipha could not heal. You whimper in pain as she gently touches the wound, and you squeeze your eyes shut. Revali crouches down next to you to get a better look at the wound, and he places a wing on your shoulder, trying to calm you down–which to some extent, it did.
Then at the worst time possible, a gigantic hoard of monsters–a mixture of bokoblins, Moblins and Lizalfos–approached the five of you. You could hear the snarls from where you were, and it only proved to make you curse under your breath. Revali seemed to have the same idea.
"What shit is this?" Revali curses as he looks to the monster crowd from his crouched position. He gave you a torn look, before standing up and walking forward to Urbosa.
"Mipha, you stay with Y/n and heal her. Daruk, you stay with them in case any get past Revali and I. Revali, I trust you'll fight from above." Urbosa instructs, drawing out her scimitar and shield. The Champions nod, taking their respective positions. Daruk holds his hammer in front of him, standing firmly between you and the monsters.
Revali flies into the sky, nocking an arrow to his bow, then swiftly drawing back the bowstring. He sends three arrows towards some lizalfos, effectively killing them. As you watch this, it only reminds you of Malum's death. If you'd only pulled the mask back sooner, then he could've given you the answers. As to why he was there, with the sole intentions of killing you, Revali and Urbosa. You could've even saved his life.
If you had failed that battle, though, you would've paid with your life, as well as Urbosa and Revali's. It unsettled you deeply to know you'd feel upset over the Champion's deaths. Although you hadn't had much time with them, they still accepted you for who you were–the-not-so-Yiga Yiga, who was broken inside.
As the fight raged on around you, Mipha had almost finished healing your wounds. It didn't do much in terms of your depleted energy, or the malicious purple that seeped into your wound, but it fix the flesh wound. Your arm still stung painfully and throbbed harshly from the dark magic. Yet you were now in a position to fight.
To keep myself from being useless.
Mipha helps you up to your feet, a worried expression planted firmly on her face. "Are you sure you'll be okay?" She asks, keeping a hand on the small of your back to keep you steady. You gave a shaky nod, and you walk away from her touch. Urbosa and Revali needed help, after all.
When you walk off to fight a Moblin, Mipha grabs her spear and enters the wild fray of battle, with Daruk in tow.
The Moblin you decided to pick a fight with was a Silver one–the strongest of all the Moblins. It wielded a rusty looking Royal Claymore, which was raised above your head as if it were ready to bisect you.
You unsheathe the Vantablack Blade–your eyes glowing a dark shade of purple as you do so. Bringing the sword in front of you, you block the attack clumsily. You felt the impact of the two-handed weapon through your bones, yet you held strong, your expression determined. Your arm continued throbbing that dull ache, yet you had to block it out of your mind, if you wished to fight.
Adrenaline courses through your veins, giving you the energy needed to complete this gargantuan task. Before the Moblin could strike again, you slash the blade across its chest, the impact enough to make it go crashing to the ground. Three arrows fly through the air, swiftly killing the monster. You look up to see Revali holding his Great Eagle Bow. He gives you a flicker of a smile before flying away to kill more lizalfos.
Somehow, you knew that the trip back to the Clan would be filled with hateful thoughts of the stupid ex-Sheikah.
"Guys, there are more incoming!" Daruk yells, alerting you all of the new danger. You stop mid-fight with a lizalfos to look to the right, noticing waves of bokoblin were closing in. All of their gazes were squarely on you. Revali notices this, as he lands right next to you, shouting to the others.
"As much as we want to stay and fight, we need to move. Now!" Urbosa listened to the Rito, calling her horse over upon his words. Nyx trots up to you, flaring her nostrils angrily at any lizalfos that dare draws near. Sheathing the sword, you mount her, Nyx running away quickly, swerving in and amongst the monsters. Urbosa and Mipha rode next to you, Daruk rolled through the swarm, his shield put up. Revali flew above them, although his wings were growing tired.
As you rode, you felt a weight sit itself behind you on the saddle. You turn around, expecting to see a monster, yet your gaze was met with an electric green one. "Wha-?!" You exclaim, confused.
"Keep your eyes ahead, idiot." He scoffs, moving his head away. you assume he was probably exhausted. You'd be too, if you were expected to fly around in battle after carrying a few people for ages. For once, you let his snarky comment slide, returning your gaze to the front.
The monsters were tailing close behind you, which were quickly thinned by Revali's keen archery skills. Even on horseback, his aim was impeccable. Yet another reason to back up his bragging. "Just a little further, everyone!" Urbosa shouts, gripping the reins so tightly her knuckles turned white. The number of monsters were thinning as the horse sped up. Daruk rolled ahead of everyone, the dirt kicking up from the sheer speed he was travelling at.
The longer you held the reins, the more energy depleted. As your adrenaline faded, the pain from your arm seeped back in, which drained your energy more. You barely realised that you began leaning against Revali, because your eyes kept fluttering open and shut.
Just before you lose consciousness, you tap Nyx's neck twice in a way of telling her to take control. Your body then falls limp, your arms hanging aimlessly at your side. You would've slid off Nyx too, if it weren't for Revali holding you upright, as he'd realised you fainted.

Revali's POV
The moment her arms went limp at her side; he panicked. When he felt her complete weight against him, he put his wings around her to stop her from falling.
"Y/n?" He asks, gently shaking her. When she doesn't respond, he sighs, letting her lean against him as he tries to reach for the reins. He understood how tired she must've been, so he let her sleep in peace–after all, the monsters were receding, as you all were gaining considerably distance from the giant hoard.
He has to rest his chin on her shoulder to get a good view in front of her horse. Nyx realised the situation pretty quickly and let Revali take her reins, although with his wings, he fumbled with the leather rope for a second. When he got a good grip on the reins, he held them with one wing, using the other to keep her in place. For once, his arrogant composure was gone, now replaced with his caring side. After all, she wasn't awake to see this side of him, so it's automatically fine.
"Revali? Is she okay?" Urbosa calls out to him, moving her horse a little closer to Nyx. "If it's easier, I can lead her horse along, while you fly in the air with her on your back?" Urbosa nods to the awkward position he was sitting in. It wasn't the easiest for a Rito to ride a horse.
"No, my wings are too sore to fly anymore. And she's fine. Just exhausted, is all," he mumbles, ashamed to admit he couldn't do it. Urbosa frowns for a moment, before giving him a reassuring nod.
"Very well. Don't worry, we'll get back to East Akkala Stables in no time, with the ground we're covering." She tries assuring him, but to her dismay, she's only met with a weak smile. This was not the Revali she knew. And it was not the Revali he knew, either. Yet no one needed to deal with his stupid, annoying side when someone had fainted.
As the five of them reached a secluded spot, away from any monsters, Urbosa and Mipha dismount their horse, while Revali hands her to Urbosa's arms while he awkwardly hops off. She still hadn't awoken, so they all found a spot to set up temporarily.
Urbosa lays her down on their makeshift bed of a few cloths, and the Champions crowd around her. Then Daruk speaks up.
"Now, can someone please tell me what the hell happened down there?"
