"How could your own boyfriend forget about you?" Jay asks with a little laugh. You slap him on the back of the head.

"She's not my girlfriend!" Lloyd screams, his face red in embarrassment.

"Well, when you were older...you and I were, you know...a couple." You say, trying not to make Lloyd even more uncomfortable. It was a little awkward saying that to a stubborn eight year old.

"I was 'older'?" Lloyd asks.

"Never mind..." You say, remembering that he didn't really remember much. Everyone just stares at you and Lloyd, trying to imagine what your life would be like being in a relationship with an eight year old that was always whining and throwing tantrums.

"But...we were so close! How could you just...forget?" You say, tears filling your eyes.

"We need him old again." Cole says. "He's so annoying now...not that he wasn't a little annoying before..." He finishes. Lloyd was now sliding down the stairs on a pillow, something that every kid does a few times in their lives. He slid farther and farther, until the pillow gave in and he flew over the front.

"Lloyd!" You yell as you run over, just in time to catch him before he tumbles onto he hard wood floor.

"(y/n), that was incredible!" Kai beams, astonished at your quick reflexes.

"You still have cooties..." Lloyd says as he wriggles out of your arms.

"LLOYD!" Cole yells, grabbing Lloyd by the hood and lifting him off the ground.

"Unhand me!" Lloyd screams as he thrashes all around, trying to break free.

"You better thank (y/n) right now, and be sincere." Cole says sternly.

"I'm sorry..." Lloyd mumbles.

"LOUDER." Kai says.

"I'm sorry!" Lloyd yells, finally breaking free from Cole's grasp and landing on his butt the floor, arms crossed.

"Lloyd you son of a-" Cole starts angrily before you cut him off.

"I'll handle this." You say. You look down into his green eyes. You can see all the built up anger, but you decide it was the right thing to accept his strange apology.

"Apology accepted." You say with a smile. Lloyd looks a little more relaxed, but he still has his mind set on killing someone.

"Hey! Why don't you hug her too, Lloyd!" Jay says.

"NO!" Lloyd screams, his face red again. Everyone laughed a little behind their hands, all except for Lloyd.

"That was an order." Jay says, losing his foolishness. You stand there and wait for Lloyd to stand up. You really didn't have to bend down much because to be honest, you were a little more on the short side, and normally a few inches shorter than pretty much all the ninja, including Lloyd at normal height.

"Fine..." Lloyd says, as he finally stands up and walks over to you. He gives you something like a hug, an awkward hug, but you take it anyways.
